Lucia crawled up into her chair, just as anxious and ready for food as her brother.
Okay, not able to control it anymore, Joi burried her face in her hands so people would stop looking at her face.
Dizzy just grinned and started serving food to the children with a sideways glance to Vale to read his expression. "Well, honey, why don't you tell Jay here about the add-on?" She was only trying to get him to talk to the man, maybe a subject he liked might help. That, and she figured she might as well rescue her daughter so she can eat.

Lucius giggled and watched his mother waiting for her to start serving up the food, seeing as he couldn't quite reach it himself.
Vale took a deep breath. "Well, seeing as Joi has grown Dizzy and I decided that we'd give Joi her own room, which meant buliding an addition onto the house, so we added the lower level as you can see," Vale motined his hand dowards. "It has more than Joi's room of course, we have several storage spaces as well..."
Jay nodded his head slowly, listening to Vale speak and slowly divirting his attention, if not wholely away from Joi, at least partly.

Dizzy put the plates in front of the children and then served herself some. "Don't be shy, help yourself." she said with a chuckle.
Joi kept her hand over her face, but peaked thru while her dad was talking. Maybe they were distracted enough she could get her food and not blush again. So she quickly started serving up her own food.

As Vale talked, Jay's hand absently went about finding food, not more than once bumping Joi's hand a little bit and then moving away slowly to let her eat first. Or it would move to another area of the table only to bump into her hand again later as it made swift but very flakey work of feeding his plate which of course, would later feed him.
His face said he was hung up on Vale's EVERY Word.
His eyes said he was bored to tears, and he just wanted to die.
All in all, it was very convincing.
Vale just nodded his head after a time and started to get food, piling it on his plate as he changed subjects.
"So, Jay... What do you do for a living?" He asked, poking at the food on his plate a little before taking a bite. "Delicious as always dear," he smiled at Dizzy before turning back to it, watching Jay.
Jay smiled and ate, not replying to the question first but eating a little and smiling. "This is very good, which one of you made it?" He chuckled, looking between the two women at the table. "My compliments to you both," He bowed his head and smiled. "I see Joi not only inherited her mother's beauty but her talent at cooking as well," He chuckled and smiled at Joi before finally turning to Vale.
"To answer your question," He chuckled and pointed with his spoon towards the door. "I'm an explorer, I explore, it's what I do, and I enjoy it, I hope to bring Joi with me on a few of my trips..."
Vale was silent for a moment then just turned back to his food, staring into it as he ate, the dark aura of a boiling retort plainly visable to the naked eye, even if it really wasn't there at all.
Lucius, his child's innocent rendering him oblivious to the thunderhead at the table, quickly started to gobble the food, eating it almost as quickly as it got on his plate. The little guy was hungry!

"Jay, where have you explored? what kind of explorations do you go on?" Dizzy asked him, she was NOT letting Joi go with him, but she was not going to say that outright, nor indicate its what she was thinking. She ate as she waited for the reply.
"Mom made it, I just helped prep." Joi said quietly. Her voice almost sounded defeated.
Lucia squealed and mimicked Lucius, gobbling her food, however, taking precise care to avoid EVERY little pea on her plate, leaving where they lay, eating the food around them. Even going as far as leaving the food that the peas where touching.

Jay grew quiet for a moment at the sound of Joi's voice, or rather, at it's tone. He ate silently for awhile and then finally spoke. "Here... and there..." He muttered, poking at his food with his fork, "No where overly special, just the mountains and the forests and what not..."
Vale nodded slowly and went back to eating, he shot a glance at Lucia and chuckled. "Eat your peas Lucia," He shook his head a little before going back to eating his own food.
Lucius ate the peas, though, it was more accidental than anything, as all the food on his plate got mashed into one giant misama.
