Keanu blinked at the empty space under his hands. Guess he was... Slow. Ears perked at the noise, and he glanced up at the white creature in the tree. It was rather fast. Little things really where good at moving. He lashed his tail once, standing up, and moving off again. Well he was kind of little, or so his mom thought... So he could be fast too, he just needed to try harder. That was it, he simply wasn't trying hard enough yet, the boy gave the white dragon a deffiant glare, planning to prove it wrong this next time. He wouldn't be slow... He'd be fast like Ichigo.
Besides, Lilly said he wouldn't hurt him.
Ymir backed off again as the whip cracked once more eyeing the woman. It wasn't meant in his direction this time, but he still didn't like it. What with the woman being a bit on the... Unstable side. In his opinion. Just best to stay on her good side.
As the dragon was back in place, Keanu waited only a moment before darting at it again, leaping once more straight at the creature after he got close again, and immediatly backing off after doing so, it didn't matter if he caught it, or not.
He'd just get a little better, and a little faster with each one. So as soon as he finished one pounce, he did as he was told, backing off, and waiting a few moments before running again for another round, regardless of the outcome, if he caught it, or not. Just run, pounce, back off, run pounce back off. A cycle of sorts. Practice was one of the best teachers, so he just had to keep at it until he was good enough to catch the dragon when it was going really fast, right?

Perhaps so, but that day of such practice wouldn't be today.
Determined by Lilly, who's whip lashed loudly against the ground. Perhaps it was the way it did so, or they just spent so much time together, but Muffin seemed to know what she wanted and even faster than before flew from the ground. This time, though, he went to Lilly's shoulder instead of a branch.
"That's enough," she said with a yawn, stretching her hands above her head. She hated mornings more than these damn kids. "I'd like to say ya did good, but since you're me first student I can't say much since there's nothin' to compare ya to. I think ya did decent, if nothing else, though."
She leaned to the left and scratched her head, breathing out heavily. "Ya can go now."

The game of jump, and run continued for a while. Until the teacher had deemed it enough. With a crack of the whip the creature was gone again. Fast... He was fast. The leopard eyed the little thing, seeing this as a new challenge on his path to goodness. He had to get better than the dragon, certainly...
Enough, alright. He stood up, stretching slightly, as always being a bit bent over had begun to make his back a bit sore, before eyeing the pair. Well, as long as he didn't do horribly, it was all good right? He bowed his head slightly, smiling. "I'll do better next time then, Lilly." He replied, giving the dragon a quick look just to make sure it knew he meant to show him up. He'd get faster than the little white dragon, for sure. Or so he thought.
Ymir had been paying attention, more or less. Watching the repetetive movements again, and again. He'd zoned out a bit in the last few minutes, and snapped to attention at the crack of the whip, thinking it to be directed at him. Though obviously not, it was for the ending of this game it seemed. The dragon shifted, stretching it's somewhat stiff muscles before trotting over to the boy, and glancing at the pair.
Keanu quickly turned away, moving to head back for a bit of a break, he knew he had more classes before long, so a little rest would do him some good, right? Besides, weren't the next ones supposed to be for fighting? That would be something he was better at, right?
"Come on Ymir, let's go get a snack." He said lightly, heading out of the area. It was really a good thing he had so much energy, or the earliness of the day, and the constant running would have had him groaning by now. Well if he was doing something he didn't enjoy then he would be, but... That would never be the case when it came to battle training. He saw it as something extremely important, and wouldn't rest until he'd perfected his abilities as much as he could. Well... Wouldn't rest much anyway.
A little break never hurt anyone.
