A little way aways the young alpha was completely unaware of the new arrival into their group. She was more interested on a scent she'd picked up. Having left Haveo for a little bit, she come across the scent trail of some hares so presumably there was a burrow nearby, or the hares themselves. Now if she could just find them without scaring them off...

"Not sure..." Ujuzi answered, truthful as ever. "I'd guess a few days, depending on how good the hunting is, how friendly the territory and the like."
Ujuzi thought she detected something, so shifted directions and began heading towards the way the scent grew stronger in hopes of finding a solid trail. Her attention perked as she noticed Haiji's scent coming from her left.
"Mm, seems like Haiji had the same idea. She's not far off from this scent."

((Again, late reply, oo;;.. ::couldn't think of a thing to say:: sweatdrop ))
Kengee nodded. "Makes sense."
He continued sniffing along the ground as he spoke, that is, until he caught a whiff of the alpha dog's scent. His ears perked and he lifted his head, grinning at Ujuzi. "Maybe we should stop by and say hello."
He swiveled his body mid-step to face Haiji's direction and started off, a little eager to meet this new ally but not quite sure what to expect. He wasn't too concerned though; he hadn't known Ujuzi long, but he trusted her when she said her pack was of a friendly sort.

(( no problem. wink )) Haiji stood, poised and ready. She could smell the small long-eared mammals around here but so far couldn't see them. Her ears swiveled experimentally.
Then there was a sound! Footsteps coming closer. She was so trained in on the hare's scent that she didn't register the new comer's or Ujuzi's. Not until that was, she realised the footsteps were far heavier than that of a small hare. Instantly her ears flicked back and she backed up her steps, hoping not to startle the hares there while she returned to her packmate and stranger. That way she could come back with Ujuzi and perhap have a better chance of snatching some prey before it escaped.
Retreating from the prey's location, she came across the other pair of wild dogs. "Ujuzi..." She whispered, touching the other female's nose slightly with her own in greeting. "I've found something... and it seems you have too?" She turned to look at the male dog with her friend. "Hello stranger." She smiled but continued to keep her voice very quiet.

((*is also sorry here as well ;0;* sweatdrop ))
As the two older dogs joined with Haiji, Ujuzi's demeanour shifted just so. It relaxed some, and as the alpha greeted her Ujuzi returned the touch and wagged her tail a bit.
"Yes," Ujuzi murmered, following the other's example and keeping her voice down. Had she tracked down prey as well, or was perhaps Haveo sleeping nearby? Ujuzi assumed the prior since Haiji did mention finding something. "This is Kengee."
She looked over towards her male friend, and back.
"We met a short while ago. He's interested in joining the pack. It seems like you've found a meal?"

((Sorry guys! xDDD;;;;;..))
Kengee replied to the new femme's greeting by stretching out his front paws and offering a bow. He too kept his voice lowered, but maintained a polite tone as he responded. "It's a pleasure." The corners of his maw curled up into a good-natured smile. "I've heard so much about you."
He paused, glancing at the other female at his side. "Well, relatively speaking, of course."
The male tried desperately to quell his hunger as he stood before his would-be alpha, wincing every time his empty stomach broke the silence with an occasional muted gurgle.EDIT: ((Mmmm. If you guys want, maybe we can wrap this one up in the next few and either move to the pack RP, or start a new one with the three talking further? >3))

(( Sounds good to me. We're already moving on in other rp's so I agree it's time to wrap this one up. )) Haiji gave a nod in return, though it wasn't nearly as low as Kengee's bow. "Greetings Kengee. So looking for company? You're welcome to come with us. We do move about a bit though." But if he'd heard some about her and the pack from Ujuzi then presumably he'd know some of that.
She had to tilt her head and give a half-grin as Kengee's stomach grumbled. "Sounds like we ought to take care of that. Well yes, I've found a potential meal. There's a group of hares just over that way. With the three of us we'll have a better chance of catching more."
She turned to go back to sneaking up on them, not that sneaking was a wild dog's best forte. But with hares, you needed some surprise. You couldn't just run after them until they tired, they would quickly disappear down a hole. "Shall we?" She whispered back to the other two.

Two large, painted ears twitched in the direction of the "visiting" male. It seemed like someone had gone a while since their last meal, longer than he was letting on at least. Ujuzi snuffed softly in amusement before turning to follow the alpha in the direction of the hares. They'd need to keep their mouths shut from here on out as hares were known for their sensitive hearing, and just as Haiji suspected they were sure to take the first chance they could find to find a burrow and hide once they knew they were found out. No amount of digging would be fast enough to catch them then, no matter how great the combined effort.
The tan-chipped female tossed a glance towards the male as the two followed the leader.
~Well then, let's just see how well you work with a team, Kengee.~
((Think we can call that a wrap? XD))
