That's a lot more about noses I ever wanted to know, but thanks. It's an interesting piece of information. I guess if he's working with machinery and such there's lots of room for misfire and other things like that...

Ok, I have a bone to pick with Zechs. Anyone notice that the closest Noin gets to Zechs in the series is being back to back with him in Ep 4? She told Relena she loved Zechs and it's obvious by her obsession since she counted the days from when she last saw him. So why is Zechs so clueless? Even in EW, he still doesn't seem to get that Noin loves him...

I thought this guy was smart. I completely agree. Even the end scene where Zechs and Noin are blasting off to Mars (I think - my knowledge is a bit rusty lately) - he doesn't seem to get the point that she's stuck to him like glue.

Yeah, that's part of the fun of anime. A guy can be a Nobel Prize-winning genius, but when it comes to women he's as dumb as a post.
But I think Zechs did know; part of the reason he kept asking her to leave is because he knew there would be danger involved, and didn't want Noin getting hurt. She insisted on sticking with him, and I believe it was pretty obvious that he knew why.

I guess so. Still, threatening her life in Ep 41 was a tad extreme. She could have grown to hate him. It seems that he doesn't really value her love. It's a good thing Noin, like Relena, is unhindered by death threats. Actually, I think the death threat made her stick closer to him since she knows Zechs so well. I mean, how would you react if your best friend went rambo on you? You'd think he was either insane or that something was seriously wrong and he needs your help but won't admit it. That's my theory.

I agree. Zechs isn't the type to show his weaknesses, so he tries to hide them. But Noin, knowing him so well, knows that he needs the help. Or maybe Zechs is just trying to put up a front because part of him doesn't want these feelings and he's arguing with the soldier side of himself...?

Maybe because he was being Milliardo and not Zechs. Maybe it's the Zechs part of himself that loves Noin but he had to give that up as Milliardo when he joined the White Fang. Your thoughts?
Btw, I watched this documentary on female murderers and I think I know what Une's split personality is. It's Borderline Personality Disorder. It involves violent mood swings. The documentary featured this Australian murderess named Katherine Knight who had the disorder. Anyway, her ex-husband said she'd be nice and loving one moment then hitting him with a hot iron the next or hanging knives over their bed. She murdered her second husband by stabbing him 37 times, cutting him up and cooking him. I think that's a severe case. Une's is probably mild or she would have killed Zechs over jealousy. Honestly, I'm sometimes confused about how jealous she is in the earlier episodes when Treize compliments Zechs. Maybe those were warning signs of her disorder?

That's interesting. I didn't know that Une's disorder actually existed in reality... but yeah, the example was quite severe. Une definitely wasn't that violent.
So because Noin was with Relena and the Sanc Kingdom, which Milliardo opposes, he has to cast his feelings aside? The choice between love and honour has always been hard.

Kalaeris: Yeah, love is tough on the guys. I bet Heero's in the same boat concerning Relena. I mean, at one point, he almost had to kill her during a speech. I noticed a bit of hesistation on his part though but she was ready to take the bullet...
Robin: Wow! It was on the news? The documentary said they couldn't put it in the morning pape because it was such a distatesful event to read over breakfast. Anyway, yeah you're surrounded by gals. You're one of the few active male members. Don't worry, I won't chop you up. Btw, I read your introductory thead post and I noticed that your b-day is Feb. 3. That's my b-day too only in 1990! Is your real name Robin? I'd be shocked cause my real name is Robyn. Same name, same b-day, who'd have thought?

And the gender difference. It's a small world, after all.
I suppose Heero's feelings are more defined than Zechs' are - Zechs is torn between being Zechs the Lightning Count, Milliardo the leader of White Fang and Milliardo of Sanc Kingdom, Relena's brother. I think all of those emotions tie into what he faces.

You know there is more evidence to point out how earlier on Lady Une does get jealous of competetion. Namely from Zechs when goes off at her about knowing his excellency. Une just gets ticked and switches that off but then Noin adds her voice in to it.
Think back to. "Heero distracted by defeat"

Robin the Aussie You know there is more evidence to point out how earlier on Lady Une does get jealous of competetion. Namely from Zechs when goes off at her about knowing his excellency. Une just gets ticked and switches that off but then Noin adds her voice in to it. Think back to. "Heero distracted by defeat" Yeah, I recall. Noin got b***h slapped by yours truly. Of course, Treize's message to be more elegant had a profound effect and would later influence the split personality. She mainly gets jealous because she ants Treize's praise all to herself and thinks Zechs and Noin are undeserving. Treize and Une's relationship seems to be master and servant at the beginning but his feelings eventually show when he asks Zechs to save her. Of course, by then, she's well on her way to getting shot and has been psychologically damaged. He admits love in Ep 28 upon assuming she's dead. Too late, man. When they meet again, she's not even awake then when they're both finally comscious, he dies. It's just such a sad relationship. Btw, having the same name and b-day is strange. Never thought I'd meet a GW fan I had so muchin common with... xp Kalaeris: Poor Milliardo's got it tough. By EW, I get the feeling he's still confused as to who he is...

Yeah it is a weird co-incidence when you think about the whole thing all in all.
