"It's a long story. Mayhap I'll tell ye sometime over tea. Now...is not the time, I dinna think. Suffice to say there were some unsavoury characters in the last town we went to, hence our depleted supplies."

"That's awful," Oqaia said, looking up at the friendly-looking inn with an eyeful of caution, now. "I hope this town proves to be more inviting." Her eyes returned to Caroline. "Have you always been a gyspy... or did you come from town-life, like me?"

Silver ran back out of Gjerhvayne Inn with a fairly large grin on her face. "Valelldia," she said, approaching the other woman, "Mr. Gjerhvayne's three largest rooms are available. They each have four beds, so that's room for twelve. He told me he had some extra mattresses, pillows and blankets, however, and there's room for up to two extra matresses in the floor of each room. That should take care of everyone, I think. Is that alright?"

"That sounds just fine," Val said, pulling forth a canvas bag from her wagon and slinging it over her shoulder. "As for our wagons- where will be a safe place for us to moor them?

Silver nodded her head. "Yes, there's a large lot at the rear of the inn for parking wagons, carts, etc. There's plenty of room for all of the wagons and it's right next to a pasture for the animals. We can let them loose there and the inn's grooms will care for and feed them. They won't need to be taken inside since the weather doesn't exactly reach all the way under here with the rock ceiling and all, but they do have stables if you'd prefer your animals to be kept there. You have but to ask."

Leshya'e pulled a shawl around her shoulders and grabbed a few things she would need right at hand, packing them into a large sack. Anezka did the same and then helped out by closing the windows of the wagon. "Ani and I can share a bed, If that would make things more convienent..." She interjected in a delayed sort of fashion as she looked around for the key to lock up the door to Varekai.

"Oi, lookit that!" It was Marissa's voice, and Kale slept on her shoulder. She left her trustworthy oxen made her way up to the front of the group, to join the bustle. "I havn't slept in an inn since..." she trailed off. Noticing the newcomer, she realized she hadn't introdecued herself. "And to whom do I owe the pleasure?" she asked, bowing and exending her hand (but not before wiping them on her skirts to rid them of the ever-present soil on her fingers). With the sudden movement, Kale awoke, and started to sniffle quietly, as disturbed babies do.

Alrighty- now our wagons are moored and our animals have been let loose to graze. (Our wagon animals, anyway. Our Fortunettes stay with us.)
Now, I suggest you enjoy your stay in the village. If you rp alone, of doing things around the village- or just going up to the room with your fortunette to sleep, whatever- you will receive couplets.
However- you will receive MORE couplets if you pair up with another person or so, and do things around town together.
No matter how/who you rp with, it's DEFINITELY beneficial. Besides getting couplets, you may run into someone who will be very interesting. ...Nifty things may happen. Take my word for it. Oq is omniscient-like. ninja
::Going about Town::
SURPRISE! You can make people up. ^___^ I suggest you don't make them know Silver unless you've asked- but feel free to run into a fruit vendor, or a random woman on the street, and interact with them. Oqaia watches all, and may jump in to manipulate these people you create and have them do something marvelous to/for you... or not. ^_^ The only thing you can't do... is make up a trader. Sorry bout that. Leeeeve with it. *grin*
::Town Info::
Silver Seinheph is one of three medium-sized towns, spread out across three mountainsides, connected by sturdy rope bridges in a sort of lop-sided triangle. When building the towns, the people cut the mountains in such a way that landslides and avalanches pass right over the towns and continue down the mountains, sort of cave-like, I suppose. Seinheph was the first built. When the town got too large for one mountainside to handle, they moved to the next, originally calling it New Seinheph. It was later renamed V'Orthyn (pronounced Vee-OR-thin) after some local hero - and when the same happened there and a third town was created, it was called Lanhith. There's a road (Simply called the Long Road) cut through the mountains that leads through Hauith Pass, which you must go through just before you get to Seinheph. After crossing the bridges through the towns, this road continues out of the other side of the mountains. The people: Most are short (average male is 5'7''), stocky, of muscular build. Dark hair, but fair skinned. Descended from a hunter/gatherer type people of the Sheulan forest. They were chased across the plains by something and came to settle in the mountains. In all reality it was probably a plague, but the legends tell of a great shadowy beast that brought death and destruction that the Black Bear clan (Silver's ancestors) escaped from. Most of the men are miners. They take the Long Road out of the towns, deeper into the mountains, off a small unnamed side road to the mines and mine for precious metals to trade with outsiders for things their harsh envoronment cannot provide for them. The women are quite skilled at metal work, expecially in jewelry and things like silverware, combs... if it can be made from metal, they can make it, and make it well. Other than that, they tend to the homes, raise children, tend the animals. These people have domesticated a special species of wooly goats that lives in the mountains. They provide milk, meat, and wool for clothing.

Lorelei was genuinely glad to not have to stay in her wagon. The encounter the previous night with the odd.. presence now taking up residence in her wagon had unnerved her, and Vanna was still skittish and scared. The poor bird stuck to her mother like glue, often-times hiding behind her braid.
Half of her wanted to just collapse in a stationary bed again, get some sleep away from that ghostly thing...
But the other half was intrigued. She looked around her with wide eyes - she'd never seen any city like this, and even the ride in hadn't accustomed her! There was no way she would explore it alone, however.
Her eyes sought out Voltaire and Annjette. Time to prove to the little swan girl that she would be keeping her promise.

Lor moved her braid, biting her lip. Vanna looked at the two, let out a warbling, downcast chirp, and quickly skittered behind Lorelei's hair again.
"We... had a bit of a fright last night. New wagon and all. Nothing... much."
Lor still didn't know how to accurately put into words what had happened the night before... and as Ro hadn't been able to see the thing, she still wasn't completely sure that she hadn't imagined it all. Or that she wasn't going crazy.
"So! Do you two want to explore the city with us? I never got a chance to go into Mulden when we passed, and I do so want to learn more about the world by experience, rather than by books!"

Voltaire blinked a bit, but nodded, "A new place can be a bit unsettling," he smiled at her and Vanna as she appeared again. The two were behaving a tad oddly, but it made sense. With a new home came a new feeling and all that. It'd take a while to adjust perhaps.
Annjette, however, looked momentarily troubled. She didn't like the feelings she thought she was sensing from Lor and Vanna. A fear and a bit of uncertainty, but yet not wishing to rain on any parades the swan-girl immediately cheered up, "Yes! Go with you and Vanna! We were looking for you!" After all the child was no mind reader.
The half-elf laughed lightly and nodded, "Indeed we were, 'Jette felt restless, and I admit so do I. Let us explore this new place together," Voltaire offered Lor a free arm, "Shall we walk arm-in-arm?"

Laughing, cheered a little, Lor linked arms with Voltaire. "Why, I think we shall!"
Vanna peeked out, looking at Annjette. She chirped, tilting her head a little.
"So, are we wandering aimlessly for now, or are we looking for something in particular?" she asked, smiling. "Like toys for the girls?"

Voltaire smiled as she linked arms with him. Always glad to make a friend a bit more cheerful, "Good then!"
Annjette tilted her head back at Vanna and then smiled, "Its okay Vanna!" She idly poked Voltaire's head, "Papa, I wants down ... Please?" She squeaked the last part out softly.
Voltaire nodded, "Alright 'Jette. Just slide down like you usually do." It was safe as long as he was still. She wiggled over to his free side and carefully slid down along his arm, but where a child would usually just fall the rest of the way down Voltaire caught her by the hand and leaned down a bit until the toddler's black little flipper-feet safely touched the ground. He let go of her hand, "There we go."
Annjette giggled and clapped her hands, that never seemed to get old, "Vanna! Walk with me?" She sweetly called to her bird-friend.
Voltaire looked at Lor as the question was put to him, "I suppose we could just aimlessly wander and if we find any nice treats for our younglings then it is just an added bonus to our outing, yes?"
It was always nice to just wander with friends with no real expectations.
