DispatchNA Mister I also performed Little Shop of Horrors to an audience entirely in Spiderman and The Hulk costumes. Am I the only one who would actually pay money to see that? That sounds amazing. XD I'll admit, it does sounds interesting. It would sell seats by word of mouth biggrin

I have definitely had one like that. sweatdrop I got moved from ensemble to lead right before opening night, didn't know the lines, the costume didn't fit right, and no one knew the plot of the play. I was told to "improv" it.
Worst. dream.ever. rolleyes

Mine are the worst when the audience isnt into it. I had one where they were just walking around like we weren't even there.

Latle my dreams are that I am in the lead role and I am saylines from a different play then the crowd walks away. That is a normal one anyway, they vary from how far the away the play is.

I've had entire dreams that were song and dance numbers, a full scale production, think Buffy's "Once More With Feeling". Kinda like that. All original songs I forget immediately upon waking. It's kinda cool, but it kinda sucks I can't remember it. lol

Another one I've had, probably from working in a youth theater where we never actually stick to the script or have rights to the songs we use, where we were doing Rent. But it wasn't really Rent - it was a sick imitation with Fall Out Boy and Something Corporate Songs. And one of my friends, apparently stage manager, came and yelled at us for not knowing what was going on.
In the same dream I spilled something on my costume. sweatdrop

I've had a lot of stage dreams, though I've never had one where I didn't know the lines.
I think the weirdest stage dream I had, though, was having a dream that I was Hermione Granger and I walked in on Ron on stage (I guess Hogwarts has a theatre now? lol) singing in a suit, tophat, and cane with smiley faces floating around him. He winked at me and began singing, as he twirled a cane,
"I smile because I sparkle! I sparkle because I'm ME!"
And then I told him to stop, because it wasn't openning night yet, and Professor McGonagall walked in and started yelling at him for getting his costume sweaty.
^^;;
It didn't make any sense at all...and I'm rather embarassed those were the best lyrics my subconcious could come up with. Heh.

Kira Sunfire I've had dreams like that before, but usually it's opening night...and I didn't even know I was in the play! It's actually rather interesting, because one part of my brain is playing the other actors and seems to have the whole script in hand...while the part playing me is trying to make things up, usually ending in disaster. I have dreams exactly like that. It's so creepy. But odly enough the other actors just go with my improv. It's also usually some kind of variation on a play I'm doing or have done. oh, there's a one act play about this too, I almost forgot! It's called "Actor's Nightmare" pretty fitting huh? xd look it up, it's funny!

my friend and I were in a cinderella play and she played the Queen. She said she had a dream where her dog got up on stage in the middle of her scene and so she went into this twenty minute improv about how the prince should take better care of the royal pooch.

I had that dream, except at the end, my director shoots me. It's funny because I actually see him doing that in real life..

I'm suddenly remembering a theatre-related dream (nightmare?) I had a while ago back when I was interning at a sketch comedy club. Mind you, I knew there were going to be two parties (buffets for each) and a corperate event to look after that day, so I was freaked out already.
I came into work like normal knowing I'd be working my a** off, but my boss told me in a panic that Rebecca, the kitchen manager had died last night. Nevermind why. And I had to take over the kitchen. So I was scrambling around the kitchen, people popping in and out periodically to tell me to keep up the good work or to say hi while I'm frantically making and cooking endless pizzas for my masters. Then I see black smoke coming from the oven, I decide that can't be good and I run away just in time to be blasted out of the kitchen by a Mission Impossible-esque explosion. I land at the feet of my boss and tell her the pizzas are done, what should I do now.
I didn't tell anybody about that one for a while for fear of bad mojo. ninja

I've had many of those dreams. Except for most of the time everything rocks except for my part.
A dream that I'm having often is where a show that I have just finished gets extended without my knowledge, but they change everything. So I think that I can handle it, but backstage I freak out.

I jsut remembered another dream I had... This was before my first major production when I was obsessed with Aaron Carter (i know.. shoot me). It was in the theatre and I guess I was this girl wearing a red and black tutu lol and it was during my big solo and i was like sitting on the stage, belting it out and theres all this fog around me. it looked pretty cool. and then at the end of my song, the main guy character played by Aaron Carter kisses my character. I dont remember anymore. I've never told anyone about that dream.
