Suppose that's how the world works, ne?

~Tai heart

Well, it's definitely how Gaia works, in any case...

But yes, I'm new as well, and was looking for a place that would be excepting and understanding of my being gay and Christian. As I mentioned in... er... another post (can't remember if it was my intro post or another one), those are two parts of me that can never change, and I need to learn to live with both.

I got a little freaked out when I saw all the arguing going on, but I like the idea behind this guild too much to run away because of a little fighting. Like I said, arguing seems to be the way Gaia works...

Also, going a bit off topic to say that fabifly, I LOVE YOUR SIG!!! heart Animorphs-loff!

Hmmmm..... good luck with that. sad

I find it hard to find a place to fit in because I'm an Episcopalian.

I can't stand the people who think that any sin is greater than any other sin. I also can't stand it when people say that you can't be a Christian if you're homosexual, because homosexuality is a sin. ((I'm not debating on whether it is or not...my opinion on this subject is my own and I will keep it to myself..)) And going on the premiss that they call it a sin...then that means anyone that sins can not be a Christian. Which is totally full of crap because everyone sins and struggles with sin...EVEN CHRISTIANS. And if any Christian tells you they don't sin then not only are they lying to you, but they are lying to themselves and Satan has blinded them to the truth. And some people might say, "oh well they are living in sin, so that makes it worse." BALOGNA!!!! ((that's pronounced baloney...idk if I spelled that right..lol)) Everyone lives in sin...we're people....it's impossible not to sin. But that doesn't mean that it's impossible to ask for redemption. Most people only read the parts of the Bible that someone tells them about, but they completely exclude the surrounding verses. So many people turn away from Christianity because we don't welcome them. The world welcomes them, the world has something for everyone, it doesn't turn anyone away. But we, as Christians, and as the church need to welcome people of all nationalities, backgrounds, lifestyles, personal convictions, heritage, genders, gender attractions, etc. We can't turn people away simply because they are different. And we can't tell people they are "evil" or "heretics" because they disagree with us. That's not the way to bring people to God.

I agree with you. I used to believe that people couldn't be gay and a Christian and I would fervently argue that when given the chance. I mean, I didn't hate gays, but I believed that it was wrong and that you coudln't be a gay Christian.
But now I believe you can always be a Christian, no matter what you've done or what you do. I believe that faith counts more than actions, though you should still repent when you sin.
(Now I'm bi, by the way. ) xd ... bi the way...

This is probably off-topic, but I just wanted to say you people make me happy. I'm bi, and go to a Christian school, where a few of the guys in my class seriously tell me every day that I'm going to hell for my horrible sin of homosexuality sweatdrop It's really great to meet other Christians who won't completely shun me for stuff like that

That's what we're here for. We're here to show other people that Christians aren't the stereotypical people that run around screaming about everyone else going to hell. I'm sorry to say that the guild is kind of dead, but if you want to have PM conversations with me, then feel free to. I'm sure there are at least 3 other people that still post in this guild as well.

I agree. Well stated. I haven't seen any church that isn't hypocritical when they say they accept anyone. Although it's nice they want to, that doesn't change the fact that they fail. I understand it isn't easy though. xp

After all we're only human. We can't do everything God asks of us no matter how hard we try, but I don't think that acceptfing others or whatever is too much to ask for. stare

And as for homosexuality? I don't see where it states why it's wrong. talk2hand

Only one example I know of and that's not the same as it is today. We don't see guys [or girls] charging after people of the same sex just to rape them. ninja

Atleast I don't. lol

It is my sincere hope this guild does not die. I used to attend a church where real-life drama tore our congregation apart. Honestly I'm surprised that church is still standing.

Just relax and hang out people! So what if I'm Lutheran, she's Baptist, he's nondenominational, and you are Methodist? We're all Christian! Spread the love!

*Hugs everybody!*

I said something once...so I want to apologize...I'm pretty sure I didn't do anything else...irrational. I have mental problems XX (points to journal entry "well if that's not ******** up... *"), and don't take that the wrong way--I mean, I'm not using it as an excuse or anything, because I don't have the right to do stupid stuff because of it, but I just mean that I'm really sorry I honestly don't mean to hurt any of you.

(about the whole homo/bi stuff...)
Yeah, seriously, I can't stand it when people are all You Are Going To Hell. I mean, wow, you are being so Christianly, judging people. But anyways, why do they care?? I mean, yeah it is a big deal to the person themselves because it's a pretty dominate part of their lives, but their sexuality has nothing to do with you! Yeesh it just bugs the me out of me arrrrrrrrg!

I am in the same boat with my church as Antel Daisy. I still attend the church but it is not the same. There was a conflict between the pastors and one person and they fired the pastors for it. My church is not the same witthout them. I can see church falling in the future and we need to stand up to keep it alive.

Enough crap and drama happens in normal life, why must people create more of it? Are they all sadists or something?

Sometimes I wonder about that too....

I mean what is there really to gain from winning an Internet debate/arguement/etc.?
Nothing is the answer.... nothing!
So suck it up folks and for God's sake (if not for the guild's sake, your sake, or my sake) GROW UP ALREADY! mad

Ok, I am done with the rant.
How is everyone? ^_^
