Choir uniforms? Bah.
Its formal. Choir is supposed to be laid back in High school. Its supposed to be a fun thing. WHOO-HOO GOSPEL SONGS!
We make T-shirts for competitions, with permanant markers and tape, YAAY!

i hate our choir uniform.. we have to wear black shoes/socks/pants, with this white button up shirt (with four black studs) and a red bow tie and cumberbun(sp?!)

BalletRat ours are soooo ugly. it doesn't look good on ANY of us. It's a white top with a cowl neck and a plain long black skirt. Ours were exactly like that.

The boys wear black shoes, black pants, a white dress shirt a dark necktie, and a black jacket. As for the girls, they wear a black sleevless dress and black shoes.

stare Our uniforms...
They've got black skirts, and the tops are halters with black and gold sequins. They are the itchiest things ever. gonk We have to wear character shoes with them. Males wear black pants, black t-shirts and a black vest with a shiny gold pattern on it.

For jazz choir we have 2 outfits.
For jazz--Girls wear colored shirts (long sleeved or short sleeved, depending on weather) and black pants.
Guys wear black pants and black button up shirt, colored tie.
For concert--Girls wear different colored tops and long black skirts.
Guys wear black pants, colored vest (maroon ish red ish or green) and white colored shirt.
Show choir!! Girls wear colored leotards, short/jagged ish black skirt with bow corresponding to color of leotard, tights.
Guys: SAME AS CASUAL JAZZ CHOIR.
...Yeah that's a lot. sweatdrop

we have one particularly horrific uniform for everyone: sick, out-dated, dark-blue choir robes. you can envelope someone's head in a silver-lined sleeve. they have either blue triangular stoles with silver lining or all silver on the reverse side. boys and girls. in A Cap, they have fancy a fancy "s" on them. wear black under and black shoes. flesh stocking. gross...not even your school colors.

Our casual uniform used to consist of this hideous denim button-up shirt that looked like something a plumber would wear, with khakis. We've since switched to normal blue T-shirts with our names embroidered on the front, and our voice part in back. whee
Our formal dresses wouldn't be so bad if they didn't all smell awful. gonk They're generic black trashbag-looking dresses. The smallest size we have is a size six, so everyone's dress ends up being way too big for them.

In Middle School, we had four choirs:
6th grade choir: black pants/skirt preferably long, white button down shirts, and red bow ties and cummerbuns(sp?)
Treble choir (7th): black knee length skirt, black stockings, black shoes, white dress shirt, pinkish maroonish vest
Choral Ensemble (8th girls 7th if needed more girls for # boys, 7th-8th boys): it used to be red choir robes and a gold sash thing, but the changed it to red shirts for girls with black skirts or pants, and all black for guys.
Jazz Choir: see ^^, girls strictly in knee length skirts
High School:
Vocal Ensemble: black bottoms, white tops, dark teal vests, for guys and girls
Les Chantues: (not sure about sp) all girls. What people dub 'the pregnant dresses'. Black top part, comes about to the bottom of the boob area, green tafata(sp, not sure if that's what it is) skirt part.
Acapella: Mixed. Blue, satin-y, off the shoulder dresses with matching necklaces for girls. Tuxes for guys.
Madrigals: girls dresses change every year, they had reddish ones last year, then they had black and white ones this year. Guys in tuxes with a vest under the jacket. Sometimes the girls will hold roses, and the guys will have one in their brest pocket.
For casual, either black bottoms or jeans with a plain coloured t-shirt.

Our uniforms were black floor length dresses with long sleeves and a square cut neckline. We also had to wear a gold choker necklace thing with it.
And black closetoe shoes..
It was hotter than Hades under that thing.

Oh, and I forgot to add: In every thing exept Vocal ensemble, the girls have to have black character shoes, off black panty-hose, and pit pads so you don't sweat on the dress.

the full chorus has big black judged-looking robes with a sash thing thats black and white and gold....and the chorale (more specialized group) has black lacy shirts and long black skirts and tux's for the men, and the jazz choir(even more specialized) has like...prom dresses and tux's

In my freshman year we had to wear black skirt with a blue polo top. With our school's emblem on it we had to have our skirts to our knees and had to wear black nylons with black shoes. Let's just say our school was strict.
Then in my sophmore year choir we have to wear long, black fitted dresses that go down to about he floor. Then we wore black nylons and black shoes. With the dresses we couldn't lift our arms up without ripping the dress. But, I guess that is the way that they wanted the dress to fit!
This next year in concert choir I get to wear a robe. Ahhhhh....Some room to breathe eh?

in middle school we had to wear black skirt, white dress shirt, black shoes. in high school we have to wear black full length sleeveless dresses. ours look nice. it sucks during the winter time though. our auditorium is soooo cold. >.<
