The goddess didn't know what this lion was talking about. Revenge? For what? Her only treason had to deal with gods, and that was a very long time ago, much past the lifespan of a mortal lion. Her ears laid back as her voice turned acidic.
"Revenge? For what? What anger do you have against the gods? I know that some are devious, treacherous, but I am not. I have not been in the mortal realm for long, I could not have done anything to you."
She gave off a hissing like noise, the best she could do at this moment. Her heart was full of fear, but if she showed that fear, it could even be more deadly for her.

The feminine voice was coming from that tree... Kiuma thought, her soft ears perked to catch every nuance. She was more focused right now with sneeking up on the goddess than on what the two were saying. She hid under the tree, studying it carefully for any way that would take her up into the branches to chaise down the lioness that hid there.

Tanaka snarled fiercely, jaws opening to reveal menacing fangs, extended talons digging into the earth beneath his paws. His tattered wing burned with the desire to fly, jaws aching to tear into the godess' hide.
Unable to contain his fury any longer, the lion lunged toward the tree, full imposing size coming into view. He was furious, rage surging through every fiber of his being, but this was not all that guided his actions. If he kept the goddess distracted it would give Kiuma the chance to sneak up on her and take her by surprise.
"Don't play innocent with me! It was the gods who took my wings, and you shall all suffer the same fate!"

Momo clung to the branch, holding on for her life; she certainly didn't want to fall now. And at this point, she was willing to risk a broken wing to get out of here. Only if she needed to though. Just imagining the pain was enough to save it for later.
Her stomache dropped when she heard about 'wings'. What? This mortal was actually a god? What had happened to his wings?? Was that the final form of punishment gods could do to one another? She could of lost her own wings back then....
"W-wings?" Momo couldn't get very many words out, her voice so shattered by the lurching of the tree. "I-I've never taken anything from anyone!"

Kiuma snarled silently and moved to the rear of the tree, out of Momo's line of sight. There she crouched, waiting for an opening to race up the tree and knock the goddess down. With luck, She'd keep her attention on Tanaka, and never noticed the sleek red lioness at her back.

Green eye narrowed, every sound that came from the lion was a frightening growl, each note of his voice accented by the terrifying sound.
"The more you insist on innocence the more guilty you become!"
Tanaka's words were emphasized with an angry snarl. His hind legs coiled, he lept straight up toward the goddess, jaws opened wide, paws outstretched with talons bared. It was a horrifying image of talons and fangs, and though she was too far for him to reach, powerful muscles proppelled him alarmingly high. If she weren't watching, he might have been able to catch her tail.

Anger soon welled up in Momo, the fear being pushed to the darkest corners of her mind, over come by the false accusations that this crazy son-of-a-b***h had against her. She was normally a very caring soul, but hatred was the opposite of love, and sometimes her own bright heart would get specks of darkness on it.
"I did NOT do ANYTHING to YOU!"
Her aura flared out, glowing softly as she tried to rid herself of this pent-up, useless anger. Anger would only fog her mind, and she'd rather be all alert if needed to escape. The small goddess snarled back at the fearful creature, her anger slowly slipping away to disgust. She spat at him and pulled herself higher into the tree, hopeful that she'd reach high enough to break the skyline and get away from this crazed...thing.

Kiuma's ears perked at the words, and uncertainty had her eyes flicking between the goddess and fallen god. Tormenting things was okay for fun, and killing things for food and revenge were also okay... but to kill something innocent, and call it revenge? There was just something wrong with this, she could feel it in her bones.
Drawing back, the red adolescent slunk into the grass, her bright eyes wide as she let the two duke it out, reserving her judgement for now.

Tanaka dismissed her words without another thought. So far as he was concerned every other god or goddess was to blame. It didn't matter that she may or may not have been involved, his bitterness and his rage spread to all.
All hope of him being pacified in the situation was lost when he felt liquid on his muzzle. At that action from the goddess, rage surged through the fallen god and there was no stopping it. He lunged at the tree, talons sinking into the bark, clawing his way upward, his tail lashing behind him.
"You did not do anything for me either, and thus you are just as guilty as those who did!"

The goddess sneered at her fallen kin. And? Did she have to help every single soul that was in the universe? No, she didn't! And plus...- the tree could snap soon, that wouldn't be good at all. So she pushed as much strength as she could to scramble into a neighboring tree, so perhaps she could get her words out before the fool attacked her. Obviously he was a stupid fallen, or else he wouldn't let the foolish emotion of anger get to him like it was now. He was loosing control, and with that, she might be able to get away much easier then if he had more of a cool, plotting head on him.
"Well, did you ever THINK that you were the ONLY god to get punished? Hmm? Cocky males, always thinking like that. You think that others aren't punished as WELL?"
She hissed at him, furious as to the realization that came to her as the words flowed out. Of course! He was a selfish bag of fur, that was probably why he had his wings torn off. What Momo did, when she was naught but little, was an act of treason to her fellows as well, but it was in a selfless act to help others...others that she had no business with...but regardless....she did her best to HELP.
Anger and desperation flew through her voice, fueling hot tears that streamed down her pale cheeks. She didn't care that the words wouldn't reach to him, but perhaps then she could let the guilt and dread of being around other gods flow out. If only it would actually work...
"You think you're the only one who's been punished? I lost half of my life to bastards like you, who only assume things...and look down on others!"
The tears flowed more freely now as she jumped to yet another tree, trying to keep one paw ahead of him, her sniffles and chokes that would echo through the forest if only the fallen was silent.

((sorry for skipping, inspired. o.o )) "Punishment? Is that what you think this was?" His mocking laugh echoed hauntingly through the trees, "Now who's assuming things? You're more foolish than I thought."
The great lion lept to the next branch, a sickening crack of wood following his landing as it strained under his weight. Punishment, that was a laught. The gods were petty, cruel, vain, and jealous, they would have to care about justice to doll out punishment.
Tanaka had always been villianous and dark, a murderous monster, but that was how things were. He was the god of conflict, villiany came with the job. Not that he didn't enjoy such things, in fact he reveled in them. Nor was he the only god to do as such, there were good, evil, and neutral amoung the gods, it was all a part of the balance of life.
No, the actions against him had not been punishment, it had been something else. The last thing his right eye had ever seen was his own father standing in silence as his wings wings were rended, as the others tried to kill him, as no action was taken to stop them.
Those memories burned in him like a raging torrent, bitterness engulfing him. But Tanaka was not all anger and range, his was also clever and calculating. It was must more satisfying to terrify this young goddess then it would have been to outright kill her. And perhaps that would be more usefull than murder.
He paused for a moment, ears flicking at the sounds of the goddess moving through the trees. Wait...where was Kiuma? The goddess was leading him away from her, Kiuma was mortal. If the goddess relaized that, his companion could be in danger. He could not allow that.

The goddess sneered, still mad. He wasn't helping her anger at all, but then again, he seemed to relish in it...which only seemed to anger the goddess even more. What was this wretched creature? "Well then, I can assume that we are both assuming idiots, then." She thought about slinking off even further, since the other seemed slightly distracted...and so she yet again moved towards another tree that was in the opposite direction of the fallen, when she caught an odd scent....mortal. Thinking that perhaps it was a mortal that didn't know the danger it could be in, she acted as best she could that it wasn't really there, though the fur on the back of her neck rose.

Kiuma cursed silently to herself when the goddess suddenly took off, Tanaka close behind her. Bursting from the bushes where she hid, she loped after them, striving to keep pace. Unfortuneately, this dense underbrush, and the close set trees she had to skirt, didn't make for good running when one was from a place of flat, open grassland. Try as she might, it wasn't long before the red lioness was left behind.
She bit out another curse as she bounded through the space beneith the trees' great branches. Surely Tanaka would realize she wasn't behind him, and come back for her. Wouldn't he? The red adolescent gritted her teeth and pushed for more speed.

The great lion's ears flicked, tail twitching, his gaze narrowed in the direction of the goddess. He thought of chasing her down, even crouched for a pounce to the next tree, but he stopped. The goddess had seemed to hesitate for a moment, she must have sensed Kiuma.
As much as he would have relished taking his revenge on the gods, he could not leave Kiuma unprotected, she meant far too much to him to allow that. Snarling in the direction that the goddess had gone, he turned and lept to a tree in the opposite direction instead, racing back toward Kiuma. He had to get back to her before the goddess found her.

Mo'onasi, not sure as to why the fallen took off away from her, tried to judge in her mind what to do. Her curiosity wanted to overtake her, to wonder just why this being that wanted to kill her suddenly took off, but curiousity could kill the cat, and she was not up to dyig, not just yet.
Glaring back to where the fallen had disappeared back into the lush forest, Momo spat out, murmuring under her breath. "Filth..." She gave off a snarl that the fallen could surely not hear, judging as how he sprinted off so suddenly, and kept going on her way, away from the fallen that held a grudge so dark in his soul, and from the forgotten-mortal, to where the goddess could escape all others for a time. Time...alone would be best.
