In my music class when I was asked what musical instrument I wanted to play I said drums and everyone laughed at me gonk Well mainly the guys at the thought of a girl playing drums... but yeah you do get that alot. I'm the only girl learning drums in my whole entire school O___O;;; The whole thing about bad female drum players is true sadly >___<;; Sometimes it's the gender and sometimes it's what they're playing... But I don't know ^_____^;;; -cough cough- >_____>;;;

I keep wondering why some guys find it sexy that a chick can play drums. I was talking to my friend and he only just found out I played drums and he goes "Whoa!? You do!?! That's hot!"
stare I was like ok. That's nice.

It's great that there are girl drummers out there. The only problem I have, it's not a big one, is that some girls either make their drumsets look small or they look small near their drumsets.

My dad told me he saw a girl drummer playing at a bar, she's 14( in florida you can play in a bar for 60 min and you have to get out if your under-aged) and he said she was f%#%$in bad a**! nothin wrong with girl drummers, plus chick drummers are frikin hot exclaim

I am a girl drummer, I have been for 5 years, A lot of people ask me if it is weird or hard being the only girl drummer around a bunch of guys, it isint. I have never been treated differently, but I have noticed there is a difference of more guys playing drums then girls, I have also oticed that with some brass instraments. the woodwinds are oposite though. 70% of wood wind players are girls, it is weird how that works out

A lot of people think that guys can do stuff like drumming, and girls can't. Well, that's a bunch of crap. Girls can be just as good at drumming as guys can, if they're given the chance, and if they can actually play. The problem is, until recently the world was completely controlled by men, and the girls are just starting to get out there and go places. Once they get their places established they'll do just fine, but they've gotta get past that spot where people are putting them down because they're girls.

I think that if you're a girl drummer you're just being individual and not following what everyone else seems to be doing.
Is it me or do people still frown upon individuality, especially on girls? When they try to do things that you whould expect only guys to do such as some sports, skate boarding and drums ect.

I have nothing against girl percussionists in general. Heck in my band there are ten of us guys and we have one girl percussionist 3nodding

Once I saw a band playing and the only instrament the girl played where the bells and triangle and stuff, I have noticed that with a bunch of other bands I have seen.... if they made me play bells all the time I would die!
