Journal Entry The other day when it rained so badly I sought shelter in a rather run down looking shop. There I met a very interesting person, she told me that the shop sold antiques, and that some of these antiques have children inside. Now two years ago I wouldn't have believed something like that...but after living on Masaquarade and seeing how Kasai formed from a wooden mask, I am more likely to believe it now. I have the mirror wrapped in some silken clothes, just the way a savant would wrap one of their divination items. Somehow it seemed appropriate, maybe if whatever could be inside feels pampered it will want to come out. On that note I picked up some cleaning supplies for silver at Agatha's, the woman at the shop had said she couldn't get it cleaned up but I figure it is worth trying again. I am wondering if I should let the other residence of the ship have a look at the mirror yet. Mostly because it is hard to keep order as it is without starting controversy over a mirror...next time my little fox is over to visit I will show it to her. Perhaps she has some idea on what can be done to make the enviroment better for whatever may lay inside.

 Inside the silk, the mirror seems to change. Not quite so dirty anymore, and something kept waving backwards and fowards in the dull reflection. Strange really, concidering that the mirror was unable to reflect whilst wrapped up...

Cin unwrapped the mirror slowly, it seemed that there was something reflected in the glass... "What on earth?" Cin muttered to herself as she muttered this a blur of red fur flew past her head. Shocked Cin dropped onto the soft covers of her bed. When she looked down at the mirror a little nef was attached to it. "Athena?" Cin shook her head what on earth was she doing. Cin reached down to try and pick up the mirror, but Athena started chattering at her and pushing her hand away.
Oh it was pretty, she could see something in it. It looked like a red wing just like hers and the silver around the mirror was so pretty. Athena snuggled up against the mirror...
Cin grabbed some of the cloths she had gotten to shine the mirror and grabbed the silver polish. Dabbing a bit of the silver polish on the silver Cin made it the edge of the mirror shine a bit more. "See Athena I can make it prettier if you will let me get to it."
Athena perked her head to the side and looked at the mirror, but it was so pretty anyways. But it did look like the funny smelling stuff was helping it. So Athena flittered up to Cin's shoulder and looked down at the mirror, holding on to Cin's collar.
Cin picked up the mirror and started trying to polish it, perhaps if she cleaned it she would be able to see the reflection better. Cin sighed as she looked at her work it didn't seem that the mirror was cleaning up at all.
Athena watched the human seemed to be rubbing the mirror alot, but nothing seemed to be happening. Apparently she was right and the human was inept at letting her see more. Pushing off of Cin's shoulder Athena jumped down and held onto the top of the mirror.
Cin shook her head and laid the mirror next to her bed, with the nef still attached to it. Then she reached up and turned off her light, perhaps tomorrow after she got some repairs done on the ship she could work with it more.

 The mirror didn't seem to care that there was no attention from Cin, the dullness started to fade away just a bit more. The glass seemed to shine, and a face peered out to grin at the Athena creature.

Athena's eyes get wide and she starts jumping up and down pointing at the mirror and chattering.
Cin hears the noise and sits up in bed, "what is it?" she was seriously going to shut the nef outside the room if she kept this noise up. Reaching up Cin flipped the light on, blinking from the sudden light she looked over at the nef who was standing on the mirror, then she looked down and saw what was in it, "Oh jeez...it's a little boy...with wings." Sitting up fully awake now Cin picks the mirror up and stares at the image, Athena clinging to her shoulder the whole time.
"Hello little one, are you going to come out?" Cin cooed slightly while talking to the mirror holding it close to her trying to see more of the little boy inside.
Athena laughed happily, he was going to be her friend she decided especially because he had same color wings as her and smiled.

Again, there was a face. The face was rather reluctant for a bit, and most of the time there was only the steadily shiner surface of the mirror. But to anyone who'd look in, there was never a reflection of anything but this face.

"My what a hansome boy you are going to be." Cin was taken back a bit by how fast everything seemed to be happening. It seemed that this little boy would be coming soon. Peering into the glass she could see that it seemed that the boy was the only thing in the mirror, her hand didn't show up in the glass and neither did Athena. Cin kept watching the mirror rubbing the decorated edges as she spoke to the little boy inside, "I promise you will be cared for here and be surrounded by people that care about you."
Athena watched wide eyed, the mirror was really weird she could see the little boy moving around inside. Then a thought hit her...what if he was trapped! Athena flittered over to the mirror from Cin's shoulder and hunched down so that she could still see into it, then carefully she placed her paw on the glass...Athena hoped that she wouldn't fall through. As she reached her had finally hit glass and didn't pass through the mirror. Hmmm she thought her poor little friend couldn't get out that way.

Journal It's strange last night something showed up in the mirror. I am not sure who it is, but it looks like an adorable little boy. He even looks to have the same eye color as me. Merci` is suppose to be coming over tomorrow, I am wondering what she will think. It looks like the little boy is moving around behind the glass. I wonder if he will be able to come out soon, I am thinking about going back to the shop where I got him at, maybe I am doing something wrong. I don't want to leave him trapped in the looking glass. Even though he does look alot like me through the glass, I could have sworn I saw wings on him. They reminded me of the wings on the dragon that is tattooed on my back. It all seems a little strange, but then again Mycroft is an AI that has a fully functional holographic form and I don't mind him wandering around the ship. So I think I can handle a little boy with wings, Bara will probably be excited to find out there is someone else around that is winged, I wonder if she will try to teach him to fly? Athena has taken a strange liking to the glass, I caught her bringing her food in here to eat. She was sitting on the looking glass eating and I think she was trying to give him food through the glass. Maybe she has the right idea if he sees something he wants maybe he will come out from wherever he is.

Merci slipped into the warehouse that served as camoflauge for Cinder's ship and home. Reaching up the woman fluffed up her hair and picked her way through a few crates closer to the ship. Even though Cinderfae had given her permission to come and go, Merci still didn't feel comfortable invading Cinder's home without her knowing about it.... usually..... Merci's tail twitched as she slipped into the ship, she justified it with the knowledge that she had told Cinder she would be coming today.

Kasai heard an urgent noise from the ships control panel. Standing up the boy went over to it and looked at the 3-D replica of the ship. Someone had entered the south bay door without putting in the pass. Kasai looked around the cockpit, Sirius wasn't in today he had gone to get something from town so it was just him. Shrugging he decided not to call Cin in on it just yet, Bara probably had just been to lazy to silence the silent alarm. Shaking his head, that girl was such a pain sometimes, he then checks his holster and heads for the breached door.
Cin leans back in her chair, looking over she smiles at the face in the mirror from this angle she can't quite see it, but she is sure that he is still there.
Looking around the corridor Kasai walks quickly and quietly, hoping that whoever came in through the side door wasn't a non friendly. Now that he is in the hall, he feels a bit nervous what if it is a non-friendly. Gulping slightly his hand falls to his laser pistol, then he turns the corner. Eyes wide he realizes who it is after a moment, Merci` ? Realizing she can't hear him he waves for her to follow him and turns on his heel toward Cin's room.

Merci jumped a little bit and almost growled, her tail twitching and her ears flattening out a little bit against her head. Kasai had succeeded in startling her, and yelling at him wouldn't do any good... she put her hands in her pockets and paced after him.. she wasn't so much mad at Kasai as she was that she could NEVER sneak up on Cinder.. the woman was a fortress..

Kasai looked over his shoulder making sure that Merci` was still behind him and palmed the 'doorbell'. Before Cin could get up to open it Kasai sent a message to her, found Merci` wandering around the ship. You really should give her the pass.
Cin stood up smiling slightly, ah but what would the fun in that be. Cin straightened her hair in front of the mirror and then went over to the door and opened it. Looking from her boy to Merci` she grinned seeing Merci`'s tail twitching, "hello little fox, you gave Kasai a bit of a scare. Come on in." Cin stepped back from the doorway letting Merci` pass by her if she wished, "Thanks 'Sai".
Kasai rolled his eyes, sure sure. Just don't get crumbs in the vents again, Mycroft bitched about that forever last time you two locked yourself away. He then turned and went back to the control room.
Wondering slightly when Kasai had picked up the word 'b***h' Cin turned around to greet her guest properly.

Merci huffed and her tail fluffed just a little bit "I scared him?! He comes around a corner hand on his gun and looking mean.. I didn't even hear him coming the little snarker.." Merci couldn't help the twitching smile of approval however.
She swished past Cinder into the room and glanced around, it wasn't that she didn't know the room well, it was just habit. She turned on Cinder and pointed at her "One day I'm gonna get you... I swear I'm gonna scare the beejeesus out of you..." thats when her eyes caught on the mirror, she lowered her arm and walked over leaning over it.. her eyebrows went up and she put a hand up to her cheek "Wow... I look different..."

Cin laughed, Merci` was so adorable when she was trying to be angry. Then she grinned and wandered up behind the shorter woman and looked over her shoulder, "wow you do look different, and you also look like a boy." Still grinning Cin has to bite her cheek from laughing, "actually that isn't you. That is the little boy that is suppose to come from out of the mirror. Though I am not sure how he is suppose to get out exactly, I am hopeing that he can do it on his own. I have been talking to the mirror hopeing that might help. Oh and be-" Cin's words where cut off as a blur of red flies down and settles on top of the mirror.
Athena watched the fox woman walk around the room, but then she picked up her friend! Athena sat watching a moment grumbling, she couldn't just try to take off with her friend like that! Swooping down she settled on top of the mirror and then starts chattering at Merci`.
"As I was going to say, be careful Athena thinks the mirror is her baby or something and has been rather protective of it." Cin looks down at the chattering nef and rolls her eyes at the tiny being.

Merci gave Athena a rather blah look, at that moment lines between Garfield and the fox woman could be drawn and seen. She looked at Cinder and grinned evilly "I could bring Miach over here to terrorize her... little Miach has been lonely lately and I'm sure he would adore chasing another nef around.." She laid the Mirror back down and said to it "Good luck little one, You'll have a wonderful family if you can put up with Kasai.. and I'm warning you.. get a room further down cause Cinder snores..."
