Oh hell, I jumped ship long ago and there is a slim chance of zero to nothing that I'm going back. I've played both Guild Wars and Factions for a while, which suited me better, as I am a casual gamer who likes to quit and carry on whenever I like, instead of having to play now because I only have X-days left on my account.
MMO's are not bad or evil, they just need a lot of time and effort to get rewarding in some cases. Besides, some of them have a*****e communities.

Oh, I know exactly what you mean about demanding your time... I actually spend a couple hours a day on, or if I'm doing some End Game thing, I'll be on for hours and hours on end. However, I also don't exactly pay for my account... ninja I play on a friends account who never plays. And he still pays for it, for some reason unbeknownst to me...
It used to be casual for me, but now it's gotten rather crazy. About communites however, my guild tends to be over the age of eighteen, with most people having a husband or wife, and a job, and in general, a life. It's also now odd for me to run an instance without a woman in it. (And yes, they are actual women. We use Ventrilio, which is a voice conferencing program to talk to each other while doing stuff.)

Xenos Mortium It's also now odd for me to run an instance without a woman in it. (And yes, they are actual women. We use Ventrilio, which is a voice conferencing program to talk to each other while doing stuff.) Why does it seem so odd to all men that women do INDEED play this game? IRL, I've met more women that play than men. I was running an instance with my bf (we were both rolling male tauren) once, and he accidentally said 'I love you' in party chat instead of whisper, and they practically ******** jumped on us for being gay. They also refused to believe I was female. Maybe they were just stupid, or maybe it was because I was rolling a male tauren warrior named 'Baenhoof', but its just dumb. One thing that I love and hate about WoW is the kind of people it attracts. It makes Barrens chat and gen chat in Org hilarious, but also you get idiots and 10 year olds that do nothing but cast their main spell in instances. To hell with sheeping, right? rolleyes I tried EVE Online for awhile and it was just kind of stunning how very different the general attitude of the community was. Since EVE is kind of hard to master the controls of, only the older, more mature people stick around to actually play it. I just didnt keep playing it because I'm more of a fantasy nut than a starship nut, and I need more than big flying chunks of metal with guns to keep me entertained. :/ Also, what does everyone prefer? Alliance or Horde? I'm a Horde gal, I even have a tshirt that says 'My life for the Horde' on the front with the Orgrimmar symbol on the sleeve. I've TRIED playing Alliance on more than one occasion, but I've never gotten them higher than lv 20. Alliance just has this uptight and stiff-upper-lip kind of feeling, RARELY do you find an Ally char who can joke around and be silly. However the Horde is filled to the brim with people like this. It makes the game more fun to play, because I'm an easygoing good-humoured person and I can enjoy whatever stupidity the Horde is displaying today. Also, its awesome to play with trolls, orcs, zombies and giant bulls. Humans and elves are just old for me. And in addition, from Horde or Alliance: Which is your favourite race? I LOVE tauren because they look badass, they're fun to rp, and their racial bonuses are nice. Undead are also cool.

It's not odd to me. As I stated, it's odd when there's not a woman around. However, most people don't tend to like to believe that. Take your experience of being called gay for example.
My people however are not uptight or anything like that. As said, they're all people with lives and whatnot, and the foundations of the guild is having that 'family' atmosphere, and we all love each other to death. It really depends on which server you're on, just the same as who tends to be better in PVP, it's variable.
I like humans the best, dunno why. However, I can't really bring myself to like the Horde at this point, after fighting against them for so long. I've tried playing horde as well, but haven't really gotten that far with it. There's never anyone who seems to want to help, and as such I've had a few old deleted characters from both sides.

I'm more of a browser MMO player. I only recently have quit Urbandead, due to a lack of updates by Kevan. I still play Dead Awaken, and am fighting with the Irkin Empire. I play Kingdom of Loathing, where I run the clan "Clan Hentai". Oh and I'm the UN Delegate for Strongbadia in NationStates.
So if you play any of those games, come and say "Hi".

I only play Silkroad Online at the moment. Mainly because I don't want to pay for a MMORPG right now. I will, however, play Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning when it comes out.

I have the rank of Witch Hunter in their too but thats cause the person used to lead us in our last guild and she asked me for her own rank

You know what? Though I can get her back any time I want, I have just recently lost my character in World of Warcraft, due to switching accounts and whatnot.
And though it's so silly, it kinda depresses me. I have spent well over 800 hours playing her in the past year and a half, which is more time than I have spent with most people, or would care to spend with them. The best way to describe it, I suppose, is like as if she was one of my best friends, and that she just moved to live somewhere else, but the worst part about it, is that I never got a chance to say goodbye. sad

Nah, I heard it was pretty funny...maybe?
Unfortunately I have been recently persuaded into the World of Warcraft. It is honestly an extremely fun game, however I would seriously consider the possiblity of the game actually harnessing mind controlling powers.
You get severely obsessed, I predict dangerous obessiaty (spelling?) in several months. 3nodding
