Story:
Chuki (f & m Swahili)
Means "born during a time of hatred" in Swahili.
Chuki.
Yes, Chuki shall be his name. Some say that name had been meant for him. Some say it had not. But what importance does the story of his name hold, exactly? To him, it holds none. You ask about it and you shall be met with silence and the lion turning his back on you, forever leaving you wondering.
However.
If one were to ask him about his kills. Or thereof what his favorite killing style is - A smile crosses his face. To ones not of his Pride this smile brings a chill more oft than not. To those in his pride, this smile brings cackles and elated little dances.
"The throat."
Two simple words. Accompanied by his smile.
"Well, sir, what of your favorite kill?" One might peep up to ask, ever so curious.
"The throat." He'd repeat, gaze now upon the speakers throat.
The speaker would pause, then recall it all. The stories, the fright -- "Wait.... You're--" A frightened gulp.
The stories had rang through the whispers of the night before. The stories of those who were found with throats ripped out.
"Did you hear! Another small prey was found with their throat missing!"
"Just their throat? Nothing more?"
"Nothing more!"
All of which were small little warnings. Warnings of a killer out and about - A killer who would soon find himself joining a pride: The Nightplains.
After all no other pride wanted a throat-hungry, cannibalistic lion on their side. But oh, what a mistake it was to have him as an enemy. As a matter of fact one would argue that having him with more allies with the same taste for blood as him was bad. Bad. BAD. And yet here he was. In a Pride full of those who backed up his actions and ideals to a loyal fault.
Chuki holds onto his Butcher rank with the absolute utmost pride. Some may have been scared to challenge him for it. Other may simply respect him all too much to even dream of trying. The nightplains is his home, where he belongs forever and ever and ever. Those who had shunned him, those who had rejected him for his violent ways best watch out. Especially at night when he loves to hunt the most. He even made a friend, a friend who loves to hunt with him! (P.S: Willing to plot out more details with the other winner if I end up a winner! Would LOVE to plot together, really!)
For who knows, perhaps that rustle in the bushes wasn't just the wind passing by. Perhaps it was your warning to run.
