There were so many lions in the area now, and so many voices that it was hard to hear anything being said. Zuri watched as a few lions approached the royals, keeping her eyes open for any threats. She felt a pang of guilt for being part of the throng as well, but she was hoping to help. She watched Wema as the lioness tried to calm the crowd but was unable to overcome her anxiety, and sat down with a sullen look. Zuri didn't want to make things worse for the lioness, so she approached slowly, head down in a non threatening position. "Your highness, how can I help?" she asked, not wanting to assert herself where she didn't belong. She hoped there was something should could do, at the very least, she could ask.

Kemet shook his head as he sighed, padding through the crowd, listening to everyone's speculations. He felt sorry for Wema, she just wasn't cut out for this. He wished he could have done something to fix it but it seemed things were too late now. The damage had been done and now things were getting messy.
He overheard rumors flying, speculations, then noticed the pale yellow blur of Kicheko ever so slightly trrying to slink off towards the King and Queens den. he laughed softly before shaking his head, following after her. He was going to say something when Prince Moyo stopped in front of her to beg her to stop.
Kemet waited for the prince to turn towards other lions to try to calm the situation down before sneaking up to Kicheko and tapping her on the side with his tail. "Trying to cause mischief I see?" he grinned.
Its was so chaotic now and as poor Wema tried her hardest to settle things, it just looked worse. Daaruk could not offer much time for patrols but he could help Wema Control the crowd. He stood to his huge paws, being one of the biggest males here and began jumping over groups and going between lions to get to Wema and the young Prince. He trained alot of their guards and he was on the look out for Potopoto, he knew he could depend on him to help control the crowd and he was very interested in what the young Prince would do to help too. He had already stopped an intruder and it seems that he had all the makings of the King he knew the Prince would become. He saw Ikarta making her way but getting hung up in groups, having to pick her way around them and he also saw Zuri, a fantastic lioness and a reasonable warrior at heart, he was relieved to see her come to Wema and in such a stress-less way. Wema could use all the help she could get. He ended up half way running into Potopoto, one of the Guards and someone he was if fact looking for. Potopoto had just came back from his patrol. It was in the wrong area and he knew that so he circled the other way when he returned, he was seasoned at his job and knew more about the usual routines. He found him self in the middle of an unhappy crowd of lions, many mouths spoke and many demands were being made and all at once. It irritated him more the mix up with patrols by far. It was a lot compared the the quiet and longer patrol of the morning but His mind instantly went to the thoughts of preventing the chaos from disturbing the King and Queen. He couldn't really hear what Wema was saying over the growls and snarling words of others and had turned to head towards where Wema and the Prince when Daaruk, his combat teacher had ran into him. Potopoto and Daaruk were very close in size so at least it didn't knock him over but he stumbled and gave a low grunt. He knew it had to be either one of the other guards like Brunivald or Daaruk just by size. He shook his mane and looked at who ran into him, seeing it was Daaruk but before he could speak Daaruk spoke first in his deep and a little more booming voice so he was heard over the crowd " We need to get to Lady Wema, They wont let her speak, No one can be permitted in the den and we must be the Prince's back up." He ordered Potopoto in a way, just more the way males are. Potopoto nodded and went with him up to where the crowd was encroaching on Wema and the Prince. They were fast too, leaping over entire groups and closing the distance quickly. The two towering males, landed at the same time after their final leap in the gap between the crowd and the royal family, dust rose at their wide paws into the hot hair. Daaruk had a stern but not aggressive expression as he stood with Potopoto like a barrier of muscle between the unhappy lions and the Royal Family, awaiting their Prince or any other Royal order to determine what he was to do. Potopoto was not so gentle and he quietly bared his large fangs at the crowd with his ears folded back into his thick mane, his posture was very aggressive and that made him look even bigger. He didn't tale kindly to members of the pride being disrespectful to any member of the Royal Family and he could tell there were a few that were just antagonizing the problem that could use a thumping. His tail lashed behind him in agitation, His patrol was messed up but he made accommodations for it and though he was wondering the same thing as some of the lions, where their King and Queen were or if they were okay, but THIS was no way to find that out. All the chaos of a huge group of unhappy lions could easily turn into a fight especially with how hot it was today and this spotted dark gold warrior was absolutely ready if it did. They did not confront Kijani nor Kiburi for they too were there to help as well as Zuri, they both knew Wema needed all the help she could get right now. Ikarta finally had made it to the front of the crowd but she was startled by the sudden landing of Daaruk and Potopoto. She also knew better at this point than to try and get past them either now so she stood there trying to calm the crowd " Hey! Hold on! We are okay! We need to be patient!" but her words were drown out by the noise surrounding her. Her eyes caught glimpse of the pale and colorful Alexei who was approaching, she had hoped it was to help and not to cause drama too. She Knew Wema and the Prince would need their help but Potopoto was ready as though he thought the crowd would attack, They woudn't... right? Daaruk watched Alexei to see if he was going to help or be removed by one of the two huge Males that had taken up being enforcers for the time being. Potopoto kept his Golden gaze on the main crowd body, to make sure the didn't push forward all at once. He knew hot and angry and hungry lions could get hairy even within their own pride.

What had started out as a lovely day had quickly seemed to sour in the high savannah heat. Furaha could feel it, the agitation and discomfort of the pride sticking in his fur like grass seed. He shook himself as he left the nursery, the grumbles of disgruntled parents rumbling behind him.
His tail drooped. He loved his job. Caring for the children of the pride not only brought him joy and purpose, but it also allowed their parents the time and space to do the things that brought them joy and purpose. But not today, it seemed. Or the last four days, either. Poor Lady Wema. What could he do to help out further? He hadn't been ordered to do anything different, but surely there was more he could do. Perhaps take on a few more cubsitting shifts, or oh! Maybe organize a field trip? Nowhere far of course, somewhere safe... The Water Hole? Hmm...
Furaha raised his head, scanning the open area slowly crowding with restless lions, searching for his sister. Maybe she could help him figure out how to help. Where was she... Ah! His heart sank as he spotted her creeping towards the King's Den, then dropped into his stomach as he spotted a few other lions moving quickly at her. Oh no, Kicheko, what had she gone and done now?
He was running before he even knew it, mumbling soft apologies to those he buffeted with his shoulders and tail as he pushed through the throng of lions. The male winced, hearing his sister's name called out so sharply, and skidded to a stop between her and the prince.
To the prince, Furaha gave a bow of his head and an apologetic look before the young royal stepped away, "Let us know how we can help!" He called after him.
"What are you doing, Koko?" He turned to her, voice low enough for only her to hear him, "You know we're not supposed to be over this way."
Koue heard his name and turned towards Tiziri, finding he and leaving his students a moment to head over to the female lionesses side. He sensed her worry and fear and he bent down to nuzzle the side of her cheek. "Are you alright?" he asked, glancing up as the prince came over to try and deescalate things. "Moyo is here....hopefully things will begin to settle down and King Kubwa and Queen Laini will return soon to put all our worries at ease."
He watched as one lioness was stopped trying to sneak over towards the King and Queens den and sighed. At least it wasn't one of his two students trying to sneak off......yet. Speaking of...where had they gotten too? He squinted around the crowd for Chokka's bright green pelt. She wasn't hard to miss.

Estelle frowned so much was going on, Weme was at her wits end that was clear trying to be in charge was really hard, Estelle was just a huntress and really as hunters they should have been able to find game to hunt without Weme directing things so she didn't really thinking the hunting problem was her fault. She was a bit confused that the king and queen were both in the den and not being seen. Still she didn't want to invade on whatever was going on. It could be a very private thing or they could be sick and perhaps they didn't want to start a panic.
Some of the pride seemed willing to help and listen, others seemed like they wanted answers no matter what. She sighed out and waited to see if they could find a way together to fix this problem. She did want to say something, though she wasn't sure if anyone would listen. "Perhaps the hunters should gather to talk over the hunting plans for better results, maybe we are causing our own problems and it isn't Wema's fault at all in that matter?" She suggested.
Kicheko had been doing her best to look nonchalant, but the prince had cut in front of her. She felt a prickle of indignation flare in her - he wasn't her King, he had no right to be telling her what to do... yet. But he was the heir to the throne, if everything worked out right and there wasn't some greater conspiracy.
"If I can't disturb him, Prince, you should. Go use your rank and tell your dad that lions are hungry and the only one who stepped up in his absence is floundering without training. The Pridelands are nothing without their leaders guidance - something that may need to change, if our leaders continue to take unexplained time off from their duties." She grumbled, but it seemed that she was speaking to the back of the prince - ha! He hadn't even stuck around to hear her out! Some king he'll turn out to be. She thought, shoving a growl down her throat to prevent her discontent from being audible.
She turned when she heard the fast pawsteps of incoming lions and spotted Kijani and Kiburi barrelling down at her. In alarm, she stepped quickly to the side and stepped into her brother, Furaha. She hadn't even realized he'd arrived, she'd been too caught up in her grumbling. Then, she felt a tap on her flank and turned her head to see Kemet and her posture relaxed. She looked over her shoulder, seeing that Kijani had continued to run, past them to Wema, but Kiburi had stuck around. She'd seen him around the pride before, sure, but he'd always seemed so hostile. So why was it that he'd approached her in such a hurry?
"What's gotten into you?" She asked, positioning herself behind her brother and Kemet, hoping to create a visible barrier between herself and Kiburi. "If you'd gone any faster, you would've trampled me!" She quipped at the other lion with narrowed eyes. While waiting for his response, she turned her gaze to Kemet and her expression softened.
"No mischief intended." Kicheko told Kemet, walking forward and ducking slightly so she could rub her her head under his chin affectionately, before pulling back to continue. "I just want answers - I think we all do." She turned her head to Furaha, laying a paw over his, trying to gain his understanding, or his empathy. "I'm not causing problems, Haha. I wasn't even going to say anything, I just wanted to look. If the King and Queen are upset at a lioness for looking then they've both got sticks under their tails." She huffed. She looked over to the gathering group around Wema, and to the prince Moyo. "I don't think either of them know what's going on either." She said. "Maybe... maybe we can put the pressure on them to go disturb our leaders, since we're not allowed to." She suggested. "It would've been fine, I think, this could've been avoided if our leaders had just given some context to disappearing, but this is irresponsible. And it's worse that Wema, someone who's never had to do a thing on her own before, is suddenly being given all the pressure of leadership." She said to Furaha and Kemet, her idea gaining traction.
"Let's go over there and demand that Wema and Moyo find out what their family is up to. The pride is already floundering over these many days of them being gone - so either the King and Queen come out and explain themselves..." Kicheko's eyes glimmered, excited by the idea of such an extreme change. "Or we start doing this without someone to give us orders to follow." Or someone who knew what they were doing. A new leader, who could tell the scouts and guards where to go, and where the hunters needed to be tracking. She looked to Kemet and then to Furaha. "Okay boys, let's go talk to our Prince and Lady, shall we?" She prompted with a sly grin.

Koue heard his name and turned towards Tiziri, finding he and leaving his students a moment to head over to the female lionesses side.
Tiziri believed Koue was right, that things would be alright even though the situation around them had her on edge. She seemed to settle some, at least she stopped trembling when Koue nuzzled her. Her fur was so soft and his smell and presence being that close made her feel alot better. She responded to the first part of his words in a soft voice " Thank the Kings Prince Moyo is here, poor Lady Wema, I don't blame her for not knowing what to do, I just hope they will listen to the Prince, being so young." Once he started looking for the playful two he was accompanying, she also began to scan the crowd, starting with where Koue had come from, funny enough also looking for the vivacious green pelt of Chokka, because where ever she was, the other would probably not be terribly far. With the crowd being so large and tense she didn't want them getting into mischief.
In this situation she could understand why the hunters and guards were frustrated, but she knew what her job was just like they should, she felt it was wrong to put all the blame on Wema for a few mistakes but she waiting with Koue, hopefully an answer or perhaps some guidance would come soon. While she helped look for Chokka she could se some of the guards in fast motion towards the front and several others making their way with purpose in their faces, including some of the hunters that just got back like Kijani and Kiburi, who had all this mess to come back to, she was relieved that at least a few of the frustrated hunters had went to Wema to offer help instead of complaint.
"Oh, dear..." Wema trembled as Zuri and Kijani approached her. Both lionesses seemed to be non-threatening in posture, and neither of them was yelling at her, which helped to calm her nerves slightly. She could feel her heart racing in her chest as she took several deep breathes to try and calm the panic that had gripped her. "I'm sorry," she said softly, a look of embarrassment crossing her features. "Would you two mind helping me to my paws?" Her legs felt like jelly, and she could feel herself trembling under the gaze of the gathered, tense pride. She was no leader. She knew that. They knew that. And she'd had about enough of trying and messing things up for everyone.
Wema was all too ready to let go of control of the pride when Moyo showed up. Her nephew might have been young, but he seemed far more adept at controlling the situation than she had ever been. "Thank the kings above," she let out a quiet sigh of relief, all too happy to let Moyo step in and try to handle things. Lady Wema was all too grateful for the support of the lionesses who had come to her aid, and she found herself focusing more on them to help calm her mind.
Moyo quickly closed the gap between himself and his aunt, as he passed unphased by Potopoto's posturing and bared fangs, and Daaruk's stalwart vigil. The two large lions would be enough to make anyone wanting violence think twice before acting. Moyo offered them both a silent, sideways look of thanks as he made his way quickly to Wema's side. Thankfully, she was being attended to by two lionesses who had come up to help. Moyo breathed a sigh of relief, before he steeled himself and turned abruptly to face the gathering crowd.
The prince stepped between Potopoto and Daaruk, allowing the two larger males to flank him as he addressed the crowd and the noise. "Pridelanders! The past few days have been challenging for everyone, but we shouldn't be at each other's throats. That's no way to solve our problems!" He looked over the crowd, attempting to meet the eyes of those gathered around. He stopped briefly on a familiar face of Koue, one of his teachers and gave a silent, brief smile. "I recall a lesson I've learned recently through the guidance of our studied teachers; that we are stronger and able to overcome any obstacle when we work together!" His gaze shifted again, attempting to catch the eyes of those gathered.
His ears flicked forward when a voice carried out past the rest, somehow managing to catch the prince's attention over all the fussing. Moyo's red eyes scanned the crowd for the owner of that voice, and they landed on the lioness Estelle. He gave her a large smile in thanks as he met her eyes before addressing the rest of the pride with her idea. "Now that, is a good idea," he praised. "I would like to invite the seasoned and experienced hunters to gather with me, so we can all come up with a better plan together," he proposed, his posture relaxing. "And I would also like to invite the guards as well. Talk with me. You have far more experience than I do, and I would like to learn from you."
So, prince Moyo waited, going so much as to sit back on his haunches to appear more approachable. He gave Potopoto a silent tap with his tail, hoping the other male would understand the gesture as one to calm down. It wouldn't do to have a snarling guard next to him after just inviting others up to talk.

Felief swept through both of the large lions, Potopoto and Daaruk as the prince came, saw to his Aunt and then proceeded like a fine young leader in the making to stand before everyone as they stood flanking him and made quite the adultly proposal. Potopoto relaxed more, sheathing his claws and his face returned to a neutral expression upon the young Prince Moyo's tail flick. He sat down means a fact he was also one of the guards that should meet with the Prince, his tail flicking only slightly as he waited for the other guards to come, Hoping to see Brunivald make his robust way up here. Daaruk breathed a deep exhale, releasing some of the tension and his eyes turned to focus for a few more moments on Lady Wema. He was very happy she had supporters within the lionesses and though she did, he was no longer needed "at the front" for now and he also wanted to make sure she was okay. He had a soft spot for Lady Wema, often gazing at her from a distance or bringing his students to meet her, being a member of Royalty. Daaruk stood and strolled over where Kijani, Zuri and Lady Wema were, his posture was relaxed and he came to the Lionesses with a more gentle air to him and a murr like purr in his breath, hoping it would help to also have his support too. He didn't interfere with Kijani and Zuri, just simply stood close by in case any of the Lionesses needed him for anything, however his eyes were watching Kiburi head toward the sneaky lioness that was drawing all the attention and he just hoped Kuburi would show the self control that Daaruk knew he had within his stone colored pelt.
Finally some order was coming into play, Prince Moyo is going to be a fine leader and Ikarta was in complete agreeance to what he had proposed. She approached the Prince with a respectful and careful posture, knowing that tho Potopoto was seemingly calm for now, he didn't take well to anything that appeared disrespectful to the Royal family. Ikarta Bowed her head to greet Prince Moyo and spoke in a calm and stable tone " Greeting my Prince. I know the scouts weren't called, however I would like to also offer my assistance. As one who travels our lands and beyond them at times, I feel there could be more I could do to assist our Pride meanwhile." She lifted her head smoothly, her body however remaining lower to the ground to make the Prince higher than her.
Zuri stepped up beside Wema, pressing her body against her to help stablize her as she stood. "Take your time," she said gently. "Lean on me and gather yourself." Her eyes flickered from Wema to the other lions who had started to approach, then landing on the prince. She listened intently to his words and looked back to Wema. "If you are ok now, I will join the other hunters to offer my skills where I can be most useful. That is why I came to you but it seems others had the same thought and your nephew is taking charge." She looked over to Kijani. "You will stay with her?" she asked as she stepped towards the gathering group of hunters.

Kemet listend and watched as lions surrounded Kicheko and he laughed softly to himself, simply letting her deal. Until she told him no mischief. He nuzzled his chin into her head as she rubbed against him before nodding his greetings towards Furaha, Kicheko's brother. "I think we all want answers yes, Kicheko." he said before he tunred and then nodded a greeting at Kiburi. "Would bothering really be a good idea?" he asked softly, to the group around, before Kicheko seemed to already find her adventurous spirit again.
He laughed more at the sly grin before he glanced around at the other three. "What do you say, Furaha and Kiburi?" he tilted his head, his black mane rippling like water int he night. "I air more on the side of caution..." he said before he cast a 'i know' glance at Kicheko. "Poor Wema aside.... perhaps we see what Moyo knows first? Seek more answers?" he offered the thought.
Estelle smiled and nodded her head she was glad that Moyo agreed with her so she went to gather with the other hunters. She was worried that others in the pride were not going to give up so easily as they demanded more information. She sighed but keeping an eye on the whole pride just wasn't possible and it wasn't her job. She hoped that by helping fix the hunting issue that would solve one problem and then other problems would go away as well. She looked around and she shook her head she wondered what would become of some of the pride members if they pushed the royals too far in this time of trouble.

Kiburi had skidded to a dead stop right in front of Kicheko and she had the nerve to narrow her eyes at him? What was it with females! he thought to himself.
Staring directly at her with not flinching he relaxed his stance just a little as she was flanked by her brother and Kemet. He knew he needed answers and to get them he needed to keep a level head. Stifling a grimace he raised himself to his full height and then said in a stern voice "What has gotten into me? You dare ask me that question when you were attempting to sneak into the King's Den?" "The audacity of you is astounding!" he bellowed. Realizing he was louder than he intended, he shook his head quickly and took a step back. He could be intimidating and at this moment he needed every advantage he could get in order to get his answer.
"I understand everyone is on edge, worried and curious as to why the King and Queen have been sequestered longer than stated." "We can't sneak, slink or force out way into their den" sighing he continued. "They have requested privacy and that is precisely what they shall receive!" he said in an authorative voice.
Casting his glance across the lions scattered close to him and the Acting Queen, he turned back and said "You are lucky it was me who saw you and none of the guards, they would not be so accomodating to you" with that he turned and continued to where Kajini was standing close to the Acting Queen and Prince to find out what happened.

Kijani was only a few pawsteps behind Kiburi. She was focused on the Acting Queen and when Kiburi skidded to a dead stop in front of her to speak with Kichiko, she simply changed her angle and kept running. The Acting Queen needed help and she would do what she could.
Slowing her speed she began to sprint, then walk. She made sure to keep here expression neutral, her head slightly bowed and her walk slow and non threatening as she approached Acting Queen Wema.
Stopping almost in front of her, she bowed slightly and raised her head and was about ready to ask if she needed assistance, when the Queen requested her assistance along with Zuri. Stunned for only a moment, Kijani didn't hesitate as she reached out to gently help the Queen to her paws.
As Wema settled herself on her paws, Kijani asked in a quiet voice "Acting Queen Wema, are you alright? Do you require additional assistance or security?" "I am at your service" her words rang out clear and true.
Kijani was studying the Acting Queen's face when she felt Kiburi approach and stand at her side. "Just like him to try to wiggle his way in where he is not needed nor wanted!" her thoughts boomed before she could stop it. Sighing she turned to him and said in a low voice "I think the Acting Queen is weary, tired and exhausted" "Her demeanor is not the same as before, she has changed" as she turned her head back towards Wema awaiting a command.
