Name: Boreas
Tell me about him: Heir. It was a title that the young ice prince held with absolute pride. He was going to be the King someday and rule them all.

As a cub, he wore the title with an air of cocky confidence, believing that he was chosen by his parents for a reason and that he had all of the answers. He pushed the envelope whenever possible, testing his parents' patience and limits in what he could get away with. He wanted to explore and experience everything, feeling he had a sense of entitlement over his siblings to engage in more "adult" activities, as he needed to grow up faster and be more responsible than they were. Though on the outside he was spoiled, on the inside he was a panicked child who felt the ever-growing weight of responsibility looming. He didn't feel that he had the right to be a child like his siblings, and that he had to take drastic measures in order to better prepare himself for his upcoming role. The colony eyed him with a weary but knowing gaze, seeing just how far the arrogant, pushy cub would take things and if, eventually, he would mellow out with age.

Like Icarus flying too close to the sun, Boreas' hubris eventually led to disaster.

With his Koli'tsistu at his side, he ventured out on his own hunting mission against his parents' wishes, believing that he needed to hone his skills and show that he could provide vital substance for the colony. While hunting, Boreas targeted a young piglet as an easy meal, not realizing that piglets never strayed too far from their very protective mothers. The mother boar attacked Boreas to defend her young, blinding Boreas with her tusk in his right eye and permanently disabling his back leg. But worst of all, Boreas could only watch in horror as his most trusted friend jumped in to defend him and ended up getting gutted before his eyes. It was only by the saving grace of a nearby Snowman who heard the commotion coming to the rescue that Boreas' life was saved.

Ever since that fateful day, Boreas has been a much more reserved child. Quiet, solemn, and serious, he understands the full extent of the weight his actions can carry. He still harbors now a deeper-rooted fear that he isn't right for his role, but he strives to continue on and learn to be a better person, leader, and friend out of respect for the sacrifice his beloved friend made so that he could live another day.

Future plot ideas:
Mental Snap
I would love for him to have a true heart-to-heart moment with his parents where he confesses his fears and has a full-on mental breakdown on the weight of his future title and the consequences that could happen if he fails. This could be a teachable moment where his parents take him more closely under their wing to better prepare him for the future.

A New Best Friend
I would love to see him eventually find a new best friend, whether in another Ma'ome or Koli, who can help break him out of his shell. Someone vibrant and full of life who can loosen him up, reminding him that, despite the tragedy, it doesn't define his future. I want him to eventually learn that while remembering the lessons of the past is extremely important, you can't let the fear stop you from experiencing life.

Blizzard
A blizzard hits the Schnee lands, and Boreas is left to lead the colony as his parents are stuck in the storm. How will he react? How will the colony handle his leadership? Will he try to take on the brunt of responsibility alone, or will he accept help and delegate to trusted leadership within the colony? This will be his first true test as Yeti King, proving how far he's grown!
