Hearing Morain's faith in her made her nauseous and giddy all at once. She didn't think of herself as a particularly good caretaker despite having done so for her own family. She had thought overall she'd done a miserable job, been too overwhelmed, not managed enough, but she was a child then. Kani had to remind herself that she in fact was not meant to manage those things, and if it happened with Morain it would be different. They would be a team.

"The rest of our lives....we will, won't we?" Kani laughed, still surprised every time she heard it. Morain was hers forever. No duty or war or other painful thing would steal him away from her. She looked down at herself trying to imagine what it would be like to carry a child. It was so scary, but she would never be alone.

"I'm yours forever, and well uh....we would make a pretty family."

Kani smiled brightly and gave a more confident nod to Morain, happy that their eventual children would have part of him. Their children. The idea of working on that made her blush, and while she did not blame anyone for adopting she knew she would always wish for a more....traditional route for any children they had.

"N-no. I well, I'd like them to be...." She felt like she sounded horrid for evening saying such a thing. Kani covered her face with her hands, even the tips of her fins darkening in color. "W-whenever it may be, it's with us."

Being able to claim such a large family as well was another thrilling thought for her. She'd have in-laws and nieces and nephews galore. Would they accept her? A sudden new auntie joining things with children some day? The possibilities made her head spin.

Kani took the offered fruit, eating it before cupping Morain's face in her hands and leaning forward to give him a kiss to clear his pout away. "Buttering me up for children before you even wed me. How scandalous, Mister Morain. What a cad. Do your fathers know of this?" Kani teased once she pulled away, placing another kiss to his nose.

"You best get to spoiling me for the rest of the day if you wish me to think otherwise. I will have you worn out by the end of the day with all we do in town! So you best be prepared!"
