This could be it. Yes, Illapha hadn't pulled Xenia into his admission, but he'd told the truth. He was there passing along most of his money, and a great deal of Xenia's, in order to gain allies to her cause - but also to care for the victims of Indra's callous management of the Whispering Witch. It was treason, and if he was lucky Tavihe would run to Xenia when she was alone to report his actions. If he wasn't, Indra would be there too and Xenia would have no choice but to accept any punishment that was levied against him, lest she reveal herself.
Tavihe asked the question like they thought he was an immense fool, and that was enough to break some of the spell he felt he was under, eyes flashing in defensiveness. He was PROUD of that outreach work; and even if it was someone he was growing to care deeply for, he wouldn't accept their judgement.

Tavihe watched Illapha puff up defensively, and immediately huffed out a laugh, shaking their head again. They felt light headed with the relief they felt, because - they believed him. Illapha was sneaky, more able to hide his true face than they had given him credit for when they first met, but he wasn't faking this.
"You're an idiot." Tavihe said, fondness creeping into their voice as they gripped his hand and pulled him close, looping their arms around his broad middle so they could rest their head into his chest. "No more meetings there. I believe you but I'm not going to suffer you being anywhere close to those places anymore."

Illapha melted immediately, encasing Tavihe in his arms and stooping so he could prop his chin on top of their head, careful of the horn. This would be… a set back, because there weren't a lot of places that meetings could be held with such privacy. He'd have to confer with Xenia on how to proceed, or hope to convince Tavihe to bend a little. "Yes dear." he chirped, gently mocking.

Ughh. Tavihe elbowed him hard enough to make him grunt, then nestled close again, closing their eyes. They felt strange, vulnerable and pleased, but knew that once the high of establishing this… thing between them wore off, they'd panic. Because Tavihe didn't DO relationships, not like this; for now, knowing Illapha's secret might keep enough of the edge off, be enough of a threat to hold over him that they would feel secure that he wouldn't betray them. But they feared how they might feel tomorrow, and wondered if they'd change their mind about keeping Illapha's secret.

Oof. Illapha carefully lowered them to sit on his bed, cradling Tavihe in his lap as his fingers carefully carded through their multicolored locks. He felt strangely powerful after learning just how much Tavihe really cared about… this thing between them.
