Captain Strengite Action: Gathering Energy Strengite grinned and nodded her thanks, absently fiddling with her hair and noting that she needed to strengthen the ruby red dye at the ends of her hair, the Ombre effect was starting to fade. She liked her own outfit too. It was very retro in style but that was coming back in fashion. The swing in perceptions helped her when she was out gathering energy since she rarely got looks anymore. At least when she removed the more militaristic parts of her uniform like the hat. There was that one time with a sloshed man, who really liked her dagger sheath holsters. He said something about it being very ‘hot’ and muttering about straps and s**t. He had been fairly harmless, if strange. So she had let him live, if a little light on energy. Unlike some of the men who were lucky to survive an encounter with Strengite. "Your outfit is on point as well," She returned the compliment to Captain Carnotite. It never hurt to be nice to someone, a fellow Captain, that seemed to be well placed in the structure of power, even if she had a third eye. Literally
The pale haired Captain eyed the woman who was nearly flirting with the lightning that was sparking around her, Strengite's mind drifting to information that she had received years ago. About officers who had melded with youma, who had more powers from this mix but were also saddled with issues. How some looked down on them, just like how corrupt senshi were devalued in a some eyes. Strengite honestly didn't care. She hadn't at the time and she really didn't now. Power was power... although watching lightning play about the other Captain made Strengite renew her own silent vow not to mess with that kind of power. While she liked power she liked her body just the way it was right now. No extra eyes or anything missing for her, thank you. She worked very hard to keep her figure trim and fit, just the way she liked it. No point in adding magic and messing it up in some unpredictable way.
The time for introspection had passed since Carnotite spoke up, informing them all that the show was about to begin. Strengite took the suggestion and took a step closer, she needed to be closer to draw the energy better. Keeping an eye on the strikes the woman started to do what she had been 'called' her to do, drain the raw power of the storm from the glowing woman. She watched as strike after strike hit, drawing balls of power into her own hands with each strike. Each little sphere of energy sparkled and flickered as Strengite drew more and more into the growing ball but as more energy was siphoned off the glowing orb calmed, stabilizing as Strengite continued to process the raw lightning into 'normal' energy. The same kind of energy one could gather from a human.
It really brought to mind the saying about humans being made of stardust and lightning.
Kaefaux TL/DR: Strengite nods thanks and also compliments Carnotite's uniform

Commander AliezAliez let out a startled gasp when the lightning hit the Captain, even with the warning. His instinct was to try and make sure she was okay, but she didn’t seem like she was injured. In fact, she seemed to be enjoying herself.
That was good, at least. Probably. It was still rather concerning that she just got hit by the strange lightning, but he wasn’t going to let the opportunity go to waste. Not when they needed as much energy as possible.
He hoped Daesva and Rhysi listened to Vyn’s gesture to stay at a safe distance. He didn’t want to know what could happen to one of them. He had his shield ready, of course. But he didn’t know how effective it would be against lightning.
“This is a lot of energy,” Aliez noted of the readings he was getting from his ComTech as he absorbed the excess energy. He didn’t like how the electricity seemed to crackle and flicker, but the sooner they collected what they could, the better.

General King Jet Action: Gathering energy Jet was perfectly fine despite Aquamarine and Seraphinite fussing over him. He might be a bit more tired than usual, but he knew his limits.
He was just also ignoring the fact that he frequently pushed past his limits, but that was another story entirely.
Thankfully, he had people who knew him looking after him, and for that he was grateful. He knew there was a lot to do, and he couldn't do much if he was too exhausted to function, so even a little bit of their support went a long way.
“No overload,” Jet nodded in agreement to Carnotite when she acknowledged the importance of being cautious. Especially if she could tap into the energy from the storm. If this was how they could catch this monster from space… Well, they still needed to figure out the mechanics of it all, but he was feeling more confident about their chances.
When Carnotite indicated that it was a good idea to step back, Jet did just that. He retreated to where Aquamarine and Seraphinite were, giving them both an encouraging grin. He couldn't help being excited.
The more energy they gathered, the better. The faster they got energy, the more they could collect. And maybe they would stand a chance against this thing coming for them.
“This is really cool,” he observed, clearly impressed by Carnotite’s abilities during the storm. He was glad she was having a good time, too. When it was time, he held out his hand to absorb the energy, immediately sending the orbs into his subspace for safe keeping.

Cadet Daesva Action: Energy drain
Yeah so. She didn't really like this. It could have been neat, if it was a display from someone she felt could be trusted. But this was a Negaverse agent, and if anything she was just more disturbed in the effects of their derangement with Chaos.
Daesva remained back with Vyn and Aliez, and though she was almost reluctant to utilize the overflow of energy... her preferences and tastes didn't matter against the requirement for energy to keep this planet safe. Making a face, she joined the others in draining energy from the half-youma, even some that made the air heavy around them.
"...so how's she okay?" Her question was a softer murmur towards Aliez when he commented on the energy level, morbidly curious despite her distaste for the people involved. How was a human, even one merged with a youma, able to handle such power? Her gaze flicked to the other inhuman looking agent, though, and she kept her ponderings to herself.

Cadet Rhysi Rhysi beamed at being allowed permission to collect data. It hadn't occurred to her to ask, but belated realized somebody could have disallowed it for petty reasons, like etiquette or feelings. How kind of their host to see that inconvenience and simply do away with it. Rhysi was ready to make a few demands, like closer, more thorough pre-readings and a request to stay with the Vanguard for the foreseeable future, but it appeared that the captain's time and attention did not belong solely to Rhysi. For now. Ah, there was also General King Faustite. Who, while distinctly not beautiful the way the captain was, remained a fascinating figure. She should give him another research presentation soon, since he'd so greatly enjoyed the last one. At Commander Vyn's gesture, Rhysi moved closer to the other Vanguard members, scanning equipment at the ready and source stone out. Carnotite truly delivered on her promise with an awe inspiring show of the collaboration between power and a body designed to wield it. Faustite Action: Shitting his pants and then draining energy as asked.
Faustite trusted that Carnotite knew her limits. It was innate to them — no two half-youma were the same, so they had to know the extent of their abilities foremost. If Carnotite thought she could do this, then she could do this, and those present were entrusted with the responsibility of draining off the excess energy.
It made him wistful, in a way, for a better time when he had become a General. He lacked the supports that he had today, and the violent change in his constitution frightened a pair of the rank and file. Would it have been different if someone knew he was overheating from the inside? And what if they could drain off that excess heat like the Vanguard and Negaverse drained off the excess electrical energy pouring off of Carnotite? He knew it was irrelevant to think about — nothing would change the outcome of an event so far in the past — but he wondered nonetheless. What would better support have looked like? Would it look like this? Had his long and grueling road effected any sort of change for half-youma on a whole?
Lightning blasted downward, its violet hue swallowing his vision whole for scant seconds. He jumped, his body trembling in wary respect for the painful shock that often came with such a sight. When none came, he was soon greeted by a cold sweat.
And a reminder that he had a job to do. Even if there was no-one who considered draining the heat off of him back then, he could drain the excess energy off of her now and spare her any untoward backlash. So drain he did, at the maximum distance at which he could operate. He didn't want to test the conductivity of the metal alloy in his gut.

Corrupt Sailor Lamiea Action: actually concerned now draining energy. This is fine.
Lucretia had told her it didn't hurt, in fact it felt... like a high, which had just baffled the s**t out of Felicity on how that worked. But then, she'd also joked repeatedly about how Lulu should totally just stick a finger in an electrical socket and see what happened, so like... maybe same effect? She had no idea. This was certainly a lot more of an electrical punch than whatever a household electrical outlet could pump out, she figured.
It didn't change how her body tensed and her eyes hardened on her cousin's glowing, electrified figure as she reached out to the lightning. Sure, she had to look away from the flash of light, but when she looked back... Lameia felt her blood run cold, and she took a few steps towards the charged air and purple-glowing woman but... but she said it didn't hurt. And it sure as hell didn't sound like she was in pain but... The Negaverse senshi looked to the General Kings in the area, somewhat noting one was currently looking like a General but whatever. They weren't trying to stop her. No one was saying this was a really ******** stupid idea...
Her jaw tightened as she watched others begin to drain off the excess energy, and when needed, Carnotite recharged right back up, like she said she would. This felt wrong to her, but she couldn't pinpoint an exact reasoning. Carnotite was okay, there were stronger people around who could step in to help her if anything started going off the track, and they were gathering energy on the order of the Queen so that was another bonus here. So why was she so on edge?
Maybe because, under the electricity and metal, past the glowing eyes... it was her cousin. One of the few people Felicity really stuck to in her family. Lucretia was still Lucretia, she was still Lulu, and much as she hated hearing the woman call her Fefe, it was a mutual form of affection. Hearing the name come from the half-youma the first time, when they'd learned about who the other was within the Negaverse, it'd been... alarming. Lucretia was always Carnotite, she couldn't just be Lucretia like how Lameia could strip off the guise and power and just be Felicity.
She lifted a hand, stabilizing herself and beginning to drain off energy that flowed from the woman, sending orbs of it off for later. Lameia already knew she'd be probably staying in Negaspace that night, if possible, at Lucretia's place to keep an eye on her after all this. Maybe they could go bother some Mauvian to let them help out with one of the satellites again like they did before or something...

Commander VynAction: Gathering some of the energy. Beside Aliez, Vyn began to fret while trying desperately to hide the fact that he was fretting. He didn’t enjoy being among so many Negaverse officers, especially the General King who had recently come to call on the Commodore. The lightning merely made matters worse, even if they were able to collect an impressive amount of energy.
“The youma parts of her must give her unusual abilities not afforded to other humans,” he answered Daesva without knowing for certain if he was correct. He doubted the other humans would be as unaffected. “I’m not sure how they come to be. The part youma officers, I mean. But in this instance she seems to be working to our benefit, so…”
He couldn’t really complain. What the Captain was putting herself through was terrifying, but so far she’d been quite kind to those who’d come to utilize her abilities. Vyn did not expect kindness from the Negaverse.
Rhyshi’s comment earned a startled blink and a thoughtful frown. “You could propose that to the Commodore, but I can’t pretend to know what his thoughts would be.” Vyn paused. His frown deepened. “Or… was that humor? I can’t always tell.”

Captain Seraphinite Action: Energy collection
Aqua's scoff made a corner of Seraphinite's lips quirk up briefly. "If you don't get enough beauty sleep or proper caffeination, I have a feeling your fury might bring down part of the Castle, and I don't want to deal with clean up." He didn't mind the blond as much as he use to, not that Lovely was somehow nicer since he and Ilian had gotten together, but... eh. Maybe he was just getting numb to his complaints and attitude.
As the other moved somewhat closer to him, Seraphinite tipped his head slightly to the side, shifting his weight on his feet to somewhat bend a knee and vaguely angle himself more towards the shorter man. Not overly, obnoxiously so, but enough to be somewhat courteous of the height difference, and make it a bit easier for him to hear whatever he was saying.... which, he actually gave a soft huff of a laugh, shaking his head. "Fair enough. I'm not bound by that, though, so I can certainly help knock him out if needed."
Ilian was his brother, far as Jericho really was concerned for a hell of a long time. Being mean for the sake of Ilian's best interest was absolutely something he was allowed to do.
Jet stepped back, and Seraphinite straightened, shooting him a questioning glance when he caught the other man's grin, eyes shifting to focus on the other Captain and... whatever she was doing to... yep. Get struck by the lightning. He winced at the flash of bright light, but the visuals after were... actually impressive. "...didn't know that could happen," he hummed, a form of agreement that this was actually pretty cool, before joining in collecting energy. It flowed freely, rapidly, and he lifted a brow. "Huh. This is... actually really effective. Interesting." He'd been trying to work on some parts of another satellite before he'd gotten here, and part of him had been reluctant to leave the project but... no, this was actually worth it.

Super Dark Mirror Sailor Loke Action: just gonna quietly collect energy from the air....
Hearing that there was a Negaverse agent advertising some... what, energy gathering uh... gathering? Yeah, he wasn't too thrilled or intrigued. It sounded like the biggest giant nope in his book, and really, he'd rather not be anywhere near a group of ********... Negas. Ugh. Nope. Nope. So much nope. He'd rather spend the time in Mirrorscape, or uh. Trying to help out with the satellites, like he'd tried with a Mauvian the other day. The lilac cat hadn't seemed too pleased with his attempts, but hey, he was helping.
Or, well, he'd planned on staying the ******** away. Such was his luck that while wandering around watching the two wraiths collect energy rapidly from the mirrorshards he carried now, that he felt the collection of Chaos energy signatures... and they weren't the friendly Court ones, either. He'd considered just noping out of the area, not get himself involved. But the weight of the black mirrorshard in one of the pouches from his belt made him pause. He needed to collect energy, much as he could. Given the severity of the situation, he was out and about, doing s**t to help with the efforts despite how long he'd sat out anything related to the powered side of life. This was just... bigger.
Plus. He'd admit it. The Mirrorscape place caught his interest. But the place Mirrorspace had opened for them, the freaking... giant crossbow made of mirrorshards, and all those mirrors of space... it was actually beautiful, if kinda freaking intimidating that Mirrorspace could whip up a freaking weapon like that. It was a nifty thing, wasn't it?
To turn away from the chance to get more energy was... it was stupid. He wasn't doing this for himself. He was doing this to help get energy for the giant crossbow that'd help them protect Earth. Loke didn't get an option to be picky right now.
So... he headed up. Thankfully, there were enough ledges and whatnots decorating the side of the building to help give him the points to jump up to, clambering eventually over the side of the roof. Only to... yep. See a number of Negaverse agents, but also... uh. Aliens?
Loke just stayed crouched and staring at them for a good long while, his brain doing the equivalent of a dial up tone for the duration as he, as he did oh so many times, wondered what the <********> he'd been missing....
Slowly, he stood, watching as the Captain up at the head of things--freaking... electro-lady. It was kinda cool, wouldn't lie, but there were a bazillion questions he had about all of this--reached on up and. Uh. Got hit by lightning. But didn't freaking keel over. What. He gave up attempting to logic anything at that point, because just... no. Loke did at least make sure to not let the wraiths on outta the mirrorshards, trying to draw the least amount of attention to himself as he could in the circumstances. Instead, he held out the black mirrorshard, absorbing energy from the very air around himself. And boy, was it a lot. The whole area felt thick with energy, and even if it might not have been quite as effective of a method to gather energy, it was doing a damm good job.
Briefly, he squinted, staring at two agents in particular (Jet and Seraphinite). They looked... kinda familiar..? He wasn't getting a look at their faces though, so he wasn't super sure, but something about the colors of their uniforms struck some bell in the back of his mind. Something that only made him all the more uneasy about being there, really. Sooner he could fill the black mirrorshard and get the hell out of there, the better for him...

General AquamarineAction: Gathering energy. Aquamarine gave Seraphinite the sort of unimpressed look that meant he was trying to be annoyed but might actually be a little amused deep down beneath the scorn with which he faced the world. Aquamarine didn’t like people in general and would rarely if ever admit when that might not hold true for certain individuals, but Seraphinite received less of the visceral hatred reserved for others by virtue of being 1) familiar, 2) fairly competent, and 3) predisposed to caring for Jet and actually giving a damn if he lived or not. That they’d all joined the Negaverse together certainly worked in his favor. There was something to be said for shared experiences.
That did not mean Seraphinite would always escape the hard time Aquamarine tended to bestow upon people. After all, who would Aquamarine be if not a b***h?
For now, he escaped with another scoff and a roll of the eyes as Aquamarine grumbled about beauty sleep and “wouldn’t need to shout part of the castle down if some of these ******** weren’t such s**t.”
He shifted away when Jet stepped back, letting Jet settle into place between them like the glue keeping them in association. Aquamarine shot Seraphinite another look in response to Jet’s enthusiasm, like he couldn’t believe Jet was so impressed and needed someone to share his skepticism with, even if it was silently and grudgingly executed.
“This is ******** insane,” Aquamarine argued.
Though he, too, made sure to collect as much energy as he could, he made no effort to disguise his distaste for such reckless methods.

Commander AliezAction: Gathering energy and looking to retreat asap. There were certainly many things they had yet to learn about Earth. And about the Negaverse with whom they were under the protection of.
Aliez did not agree with them. He did not think their tactics or choices were for the betterment of anyone but themselves, but he kept his mouth shut and his head down as much as he could. He was known to get a little riled up about things from time to time, but with the General King and General who showed up with news at Lyndin’s place being there, Aliez did his best to hope to not be recognized.
Lyndin would not allow them to be hurt, he was sure of that. But he was still anxious when the Commodore was not there to keep them safe, himself.
He shook his head at Daesva, confused about the health of the partial human as well, but was grateful for Vyn’s assessment.
As for Rhysi suggesting to take her to Velencya--
Like Vyn, he was unsure if it was humor, or if Rhysi was being serious. At this point, he was so desperate for anything that he was tempted to encourage asking the Commodore about it. He would make a note in his ComTech about possibilities at least.
“Let us hurry. I have collected as much energy as my Source Stone can hold. I do not feel safe standing up here,” he admitted, glancing up at the sky and hoping his fellow Vanguard would collect their energy and retreat as well.

Cadet Rhysi Attention shifting back and forth between the half-youma and readout of what data could be gathered, Rhysi didn’t initially respond to the question of her suggestion being one involving humor. Eventually though, she looked at Commander Vyn. “No. Resources are serious.” Looking out over the gathered members of the Negaverse, some clearly appreciative, other notably apprehensive, she considered the usefulness of these allies and their dealings with them. “We ask for more half youma.” While Rhysi generally considered organics to be an unreliable, short term solution that was out of their control, she had to admit a certain admiration and inspiration to be found with half-youma. The ability to repurpose and design previously mundane beings into something better. Not just stronger and more durable, but to create beings of utility to harness immense natural powers into an easier use state was immense. It had Rhysi wondering, were Velencians able to undergo such a process? [ spiritual exit ]

Cadet Daesva Action: Leaving with energy
Bring the half-youma to... to Velencya? Daesva cast Rhysi a baffled expression, withdrawing her hand and Source Stone now that it was filled to the brim with energy. "Commander Vyn is right. You can bring it up with the Commodore, if you have a suitable proposal."
Really, she felt disgusted by the very concept of bringing such a thing back to Velencya--they had no way to ensure the agent (or worse, multiple)--wouldn't turn on them and start trying to steal what little energy they did have, or starseeds--
Daesva forced her mind away from such mental images, the hair at the back of her neck standing on end and a chill settling through her limbs that had nothing to do with the lightning in the air.
"If we're all set, I believe now is a proper time to take our leave..." She glanced to Vyn and Aliez, grateful at least that they didn't seem to be... overly enthusiastic about this gathering. The energy was appreciated, even if she was disturbed by how a human body acted as the conduit to allow the transfer from the lightning to them...
Shaking her head slightly, she remained quiet after that till she could safely leave the area. There would be plenty of time to consider what had transpired, well away from the collection of Negaverse officers...
