Corra’s shoulders tensed, but her voice was quieter now, more raw. "Aisha gave me life. But she didn’t make me whole." She exhaled. "I have to fight for that part myself."

Corra stared out at the waves, the wind catching in her dark, dreaded hair, shifting against the crystals along her shoulders. The sea didn’t care who she was, just as the forest of Jauhar didn’t care. But Aisha did. The Sisters did. And she would prove herself.
She turned back to Niabi, her expression unreadable. "I will."

Niabi studied her daughter’s face, the fierce determination, the unyielding fire. She knew that Corra had already made up her mind. There was no changing her path—only watching, waiting, and hoping she wouldn’t lose herself along the way.
The tide came in, licking at their feet, and for a moment, neither of them spoke. The wind carried the sound of the ocean, endless and ever-moving, as mother and daughter stood side by side, staring out at the distant horizon.
