an elbow catches Drako in the ribs, loosening his hold. It doesn't prompt him to completely release the headlock, but he does lose a good deal of his grip

Nuke felt some pressure release on his cranium, and breathed deep. The first shot wasn't enough, but..
Fusion aimed a second elbow, looking to turn that momentum back around in his favour!

a second elbow essentially forces Drako to fully release Nuke from the headlock and to take a step back, perhaps allowing Nuke a chance to retaliate

The ref watched, waiting to see how this would play out, with the energy in the arena building up.
Nuke shook his head again and turned a little to see where Drako was.. before launching himself forward with a European Uppercut attempt!

Drako is clocked quickly with a european uppercut, knocking him back a couple of steps. It seems the game has switched up here now

Momentum switch.. possibly. Time to not get too cocky here.
The crowd let out an audible 'Oooh' as Drako was sent back a couple of steps.
Nuke slowly got himself steady on his feet, looking to walk forward and lean into Drako, aiming to whip him across the ring with an Irish Whip.

Drako seems like he's going to be on the way across the ring, but at the last minute stops himself and attempts to reverse the whip. On the rebound, he'd attempt to catch Nuke with a clothesline to take him down finally

A beautiful shift in momentum as Nuke is sent hurtling towards the ropes and is caught with a stiff clothesline on the way back.
The crowd cheers for Drako, as Fusion held the back of his head and twisted his neck in pain.

Drako honestly hadn't expected that to hit, but it had and he'd put a bit of force behind it. Nuke is down, and Drako wants to keep him there. He quickly aims to hit a quick stomp across Nuke's forehead

The stomp came down, and unexpected, as Nuke turned his body to protect that part. He rolled onto his stomach, rubbing his forehead.
Quite possibly concentrating too much on the pain, rather than what may be inflicted after.

The Soaring Dragon knows that won't be enough to put Nuke down for long. Time to amp things up a bit. Reaching down, he attempts to pull Nuke up in a front facelock, aiming to lift and plant him with a vertical suplex

Nuke is dragged up with a facelock, with Drako aiming for a vertical suplex. As Damone attempts to lift Fusion, he stiffens up and plants his feet.
Nuke is pulled about a foot off the ground, before he lands back down again.
"You'll have to try a bit harder than that, old friend."

"Can't blame a guy for trying."
Drako didn't get Nuke up successfully. He is outweighed a bit here. But that's not going to stop him from trying, as he aims a quick body shot at Nuke's ribs before he would try for the suplex again

Nuke wasn't expecting the cheeky body shot, as he unconsciously relaxed his body momentarily.
This gave Drako the perfect opportunity for a second attempt and, this time, it was successful.
Fusion landed hard against the canvas, as he groaned out, <********>
