Well. She did ask the Code to be direct.
Not just your life on the line.
"Oh."
It was all she could say for a moment, eyes wide, staring at the ball of light and gas, clinging back to Ashur's hand. Oh. She tried to do some mental math, when did she last have her period..? Things were a haze, just with life and new job and engagement and... she realized she had no idea. Oh.
Part of her felt like a fool for how she'd been behaving, the rest was in a sort of dial up tone reboot.
"...sorry for yelling at you," she said, still somewhat blankly, because her brain was running circles around itself trying to process this. She was pregnant?
Danika blinked a few times before looking up at Ashur, stunned and felt a smile slip across her face, bewildered and just... stunned. "It is your fault."
She was pregnant. Her free hand moved somewhat on autopilot to rest over her lower abdomen. There was.... something growing there. Holy s**t.

The Code neither expected, nor required, any apology. It allowed Danika a moment to process her thoughts, but afterwards it said, “Yes, so let’s all be careful, won’t we? Don’t try to push yourself so hard. I appreciate your worrying, but your Wonder will wait for you. It’s not going anywhere in the meantime, no knight will replace you.” If the Code could have shrugged, it would have. “Just make sure you fulfill your duties when you’re able to. I suppose you two have a bit you’d like to talk about. I don’t expect to be an audience to whatever conversations you’ll be having in the near future, but if you have something else you’d like to discuss, I have time for you now. Or, later.”

Danika reiterating what the Code had said earlier, about this being his fault, pulled Ashur out of his stupor, and like her he couldn't help the small smile that had slipped itself onto his face. There was no way he could process every single emotion that came over him, and certainly he didn't want to while in the presence of the Code, so besides the smile and the slightly stronger grip on Dani's hand, the Knight did his best to shove it all down and keep it out of sight.
"That's good to know," he said. "Both the…yeah. And about her Wonder. Thank you. I don't have anything else for now."
He looked at Danika then, half hoping her answer would be the same since they clearly had to have a conversation once they got back.
"You?"

Questions? Discussions to be had? Yeah uh. There were. A lot of those. Of both.
She was pregnant?
Wait. How would that work out time wise for the wedding?
She needed a calendar. And a stop at a drug store. And to make an appointment with her doctor, probably. And...
Danika let out a heavy rush of breath, mind still flying and whirling over various topics and concerns. "No... nothing for right now," she finally said, looking to the Code with a look of just... awe frozen on her face. "Thank you. For um. All of that. The info on uh... both topics." She was floundering a bit and knew it. The city would wait for her. It was waiting for her. The relief caused her shoulders to sag a bit, tension lifting... for this bit, anyway.
She still was processing how to feel about the other part. Holy s**t.
"We uh... know where to find you though, if we have anything to discuss." At least... it seemed like she could come to this place without being Themiscyra. She eyed the star brooch that had appeared on both of them when they'd arrived. Her gaze shifted up to Ashur, flicking her head to the side somewhat to indicate the door. Go? The confirmation that they were both ready to head out was easy enough.
"Thanks, again." It was lame, it was awkward, but Danika's smile and little salute-wave to the Code as they turned to leave was... bright. Excited. Freaked out. But bright. It was... all good news. Question mark? Period?
They'd need to discuss a lot between them.
It took a moment to focus herself enough to focus on Earth, but when she felt that pull back, and the magic began to flare warm and soothing around her, she thought she heard the Code speak again.
"Your Wonder has withstood the test of time already, a few more months will not destroy it. Take care of yourself, and them. Those are worthy priorities, too."
If she was crying when they'd arrived back on Earth, she'd just tell Ashur it was that some star dust or magic dust got in her eyes.
