Keiran was, mostly, familiar with the winding, messy tale of Faustite and Murikabushi. But he couldn't help but crack a smile at describing Faustite as "cat, derogatory," because...yeah, that was pretty apt. The complicated tangle between Faustite's desire for attention and his desire to not seem like he wanted it....complicated. And deeply feline.
"I know who Faustite used to work under. Trust me: if he wasn't ******** up before he fell into her caring hands, she ******** him up for certain," he said, exhaling tensely. "I don't know what else happened. There may have been more. But that particular monster of a woman locked me in a tiny, dark room in Negaspace to force me to sweat out alcohol detox, because my drinking problem was an embarrassment." He shook his head. "I haven't heard of her being active in years. If we're all lucky, she fell down some dark hole in the Rift. But yeah, there is almost certainly a reason, and at least one of them has a name."
General ******** Schorl.
And Kerberos had, in the grand scheme of things, really only been sideswiped by her.
A tense noise, under his breath.
"Next time," he said, gently, "I'd prefer you come to me, or to Ida. We could have found a way to get Faustite's boy back to him without putting other people at risk." He sighed. "Not that I can criticize. Remember what I said about pulling my own starseed? I did that to get a prisoner away from the Negaverse, when I was still one of them. Sometimes you have to make your own choices."
He sighed.
"I should have gotten a coffee before this." A lament that was too late to fix now.

This whole conversation was really A Lot in ways that Kiyoshi hadn’t entirely expected when coming to find Keiran. Not least because he’d only expected to find Keiran here, not also Halia, somebody who needed to be caught up on things as pertained to Faustite.
Given the Cliffs Notes version anyway, since Kiyoshi had absolutely skimmed some of the finer points. But he honestly felt as though he had every right to skip some things about the entire sordid history here. Like, how was he supposed to tell a coworker he liked pretty well but hadn’t really hung out with outside of work—whom he was only right this moment learning was a fellow senshi—that his hellish tempered “it’s complicated” had once told him, quite bluntly, that he would’ve tried to eat a Dark Mirror starseed, Mirrorcoating and all, while Murikabushi had still been suffering with that kind of straitjacket on his starseed?
He hadn’t even told Keiran that part. He’d told Yuki. Mostly, it had upset him and Kiyoshi couldn’t really begrudge his Gorgeous that emotion. Not in the face of Yuki’s ******** trying to explain why, at the time, he hadn’t felt terribly bothered by the idea of Faustite not only killing him, but also ending any chance for there to be another Sailor Murikabushi ever again.
Being put on the spot like this about accepting help from others left Kiyoshi stunned into silence for a moment.…… Okay, a sort of long moment. And honestly, Halia immediately rushing into physical contact like this wasn’t helping—like? Having found out that each other was a senshi, they now had more reason to spend time together outside of the “inflicted by the realities of life in a capitalist shithole, but Keiran cultivated a better working environment than pretty much any other boss in his position could” kind of work, but……man, were normal people this quick to get physically affectionate with their coworkers? Or was this just a Halia thing? He didn’t know her whole story but he’d gathered that she was sensitive in a way that suggested she’d been through a lot, so like……??
Whatever. Kiyoshi put on a smile and decided to let it go for now. Nodding toward Keiran, he said “As long as there’s an agreement to be patient with me because asking for help is not something that comes naturally to me? Then yeah, absolutely. Last night was, like, a whole-a** moment and certainly, some decisions were made? Several of them by me? But maybe next time, I’ll find out about a kidnapping before people start talking about murdering someone for the crime of getting dicked down by the sapient answer to ‘What if hellfire was a person and extremely homosexual about it.
“Anyway, I’m not on right now, but do either of you want me to go grab you a coffee? Tea? Do both of you want that? Consider it the verbosity tax for listening to me ramble so much, yeah?”
