Tsuki the Lunar Wind
"If you can get a hold of a Tart or Sweet Apple, you should be able to do more with your Applin- I think both of those are easy to get in Galar." Tsuki offered to Tamika, failing to think of a place where she could potentially get a Syrupy Apple here. But no, that was Kitakami export. He returned his Pikipek too now that he thought about less experienced Pokemon. The little guy had given it his all in that fight- but he'd need a bit more training before he could rely on him in battle.

"I see you decided to catch that beast, did you happen to get what type of Pokemon it is? It's gotta be some weird combination I've never seen before in Kanto or Paldea." Tsuki asked Monique. Even if he had no interest in training it as his own, he did like learning about new Pokemon. Speaking of though, he wondered if he'd ought to use Snapdragon in whatever battle they took part in next. Like Makara, he hadn't been completely field tested yet- where as his other Pokemon were old hands at battling for him.

Tsuki agreed with Tamika. "Hah, yeah he is... really fast." he'd say, looking at how Hop had already managed to go in the distance. He'd have to take him up on the suggestion of trying out the Galar League. That sounded fun, really fun in fact. Kanto and Paldea were like uncomfortable homes that he had gotten used to with time but Galar was like a clean slate. Why not make it his own?

Thinking about it, they had both experienced a bit of the business of Galar's cities on their own. Wyndon was... a lot. Plus, knowing himself, if Tsuki step foot in Motostoke he'd get sidetracked and hop right on the gym challenge. No. He'd come back to that later for sure. "Let's get to the train station? My channeling teacher suggested I check out the Isle of Armor- anything beats the tundra or another city." He shuddered.

"Also I have no clue about what you mean about Turffield." He blinked, innocently or ignorantly. Tsuki had been in Galar for all of- four hours? If it wasn't Wyndon and Motostoke he didn't know jack about it.

"Well, GRAY says it's Poison/Electric," Monique explained to Tsuki. "Different from any of my Electric or Poison types I already had," she thought, thinking of her Alolan Raichu and Croagunk. "I'll have to learn how to care for it."

"Since you asked, Turffield is home to Galar's Grass-type Gym. It's a major agricultural centre, and they hold an annual Harvest Festival. So people see "Grass-type" and they think "country farmer".

"The Isle of Armor? What's that?" Monique asked after Tsuki brought up the name. She unfolded her map of Galar to find that it was an island off the eastern coast. Strangely, the map indicated that a train service ran to it, somehow, without any further details. "We can take a train there apparently... Somehow."

"I don't think I can join the two of you on a trip elsewhere. I'm gonna stay back," Tamika explained. "But I enjoyed being with you and am down to jam anytime you're around. I live up by Wyndon." Now they were down two members, about to head somewhere that seemed far away, a place Monique had not even heard of.

“A harvest festival?” Tsuki asked while thinking that the Toxel they battled was probably the only electric poison type around. As islander himself, he wasn’t that familiar with festivals like that. They celebrated farming? Must be a landlocked thing. If he was in the area again, probably during the badge challenge he planned on doing, he’d have to give that a look.

Pulling out his phone, he’d open up his map and show Monique. “It’s a commonwealth island to the east, yeah. I think the train can only get us so far, we’ll have to take a Corviknight taxi most of the way.” Tsuki said. He didn’t have a flyer on him, and it was generally sound advice in their world to never fly somewhere on your own if you hadn’t been there before.

He waved Tamika off, promising to visit her the next time he made it to Wyndon. Now that it was just the two of them, Tsuki started to head back to the train station. “I wonder why they call it the Isle of Armor- you think they got a lot of steel types? Like Sinnoh’s Iron Island.” He asked her, hands behind his head. He hadn’t been there either, but he was definitely intrigued by visiting another regionette that was out of the way. The Sevii Islands were home and Kitakami had been a nice visit, almost getting murdered being ignored.

He felt a sense of anticipation at going. It always seemed like no matter where he went, it was like he was always walking a path that had already been well worn down by someone else.

"I don't know, actually. I didn't go to Wyndbridge or the University of Hammerlocke, after all. I've barely been here," Monique replied to Tsuki. "Luckily, it seems like the transfer station is not far from here."

Monique consulted the timetable pinned in the station hall. There were only two daily services to a station listed as "Isle of Armor (Transfer)" on the map in contrast to the more frequent trips to more populous southern Galarian destinations like Wedgehurst and Motostoke.

"It looks like we have to wait a whole hour... And that's lucky, we could have been waiting here for five or six hours," she informed Tsuki. The station was steadily busy as passengers made their way to and from the Wild Area, Pokémon and camp and curry supplies flowing along with them. More than one Wild Area visitor was carrying a large sleeping bag-backpack. These people take the Wild Area seriously, she thought to herself.

A little over an hour later, after some conversation and consulting of their maps and trying to figure out (especially for Monique) the allure of this island, the announcement rang out over the tannoy. "The next train to arrive at platform—2—will be the service to—Isle of Armor (Transfer)". It was time to get a move on.

“Ah right, my bad. You’re from Alola right? Never been myself.” Tsuki apologized as they made their way towards the train station. He followed along, enjoying the cooler Galarian air while they were still in the area. On the way back to the station, he made sure to stop by some inactive Pokemon Dens to collect what few watts he could gather from them. Every bit counted as far as Tsuki was aware. He thought about Sub’s Grimmsnarl fighting that massive Starmobile back in Paldea- he wanted in on that. That had been so cool to even just see. Maybe that was something that could help bridge the gap between him and the more experienced Snagem members. Mega Evolution was something he could do with only one Pokemon, but a Dynamax beacon on hand at all times? Any one of his Pokemon could probably do something sick with that at their disposal.

Tsuki stretched while Monique figured out the fine details of their travel, like the arrival time and where they were going to exactly wind up at. He didn’t commit himself to people watching quite as much as Monique. Instead he opted to scribble in some kind of journal of his. His time after remeeting up with everyone had so far been mostly about trying to build himself back up so that he wouldn’t be dead weight. To that end, he was working on a checklist of sorts. Things he wanted to be able to do if s**t ever truly hit the fan ever again. There was still quite a bit left but he remained hopeful.

When the announcement called out their group to take the train to the Corviknight pickup and drop off, Tsuki’s head lifted and got him excited. “Finally! I get that it could have been longer but sheesh…” Even for the little time they were cooped up, it was fairly clear that the teenager struggled to stay still. Lord knew how he’d be on a Corviknight Taxi on a flight towards the Isle of Armor. He hopped onto the train that, thankfully, wouldn’t take too long as it brought them over to the Galarian coastline.

Krabbys lined the beach, walking side to side as the two trainers departed from the train and towards the Taxi that would fly them over to the commonwealth that belonged to Galar. It was kind of like the Sevii Islands in that way. Separated from the mainland but still beholden to some larger region. He wondered what the wildlife would be like. “I kinda miss Cinnabar and One Island, the warmer climate feels a lot more like home y’know?” he said to Monique, not being aware of her falling here from an alternate Alola. She just seemed like a quirky person from a place he had never been to.

But the cold water with the wind? It felt almost alien to Tsuki. Like if there was always some storm just out of reach, it was damp and unpleasant. Pretty though. He hopped onto the taxi without a second thought. They’d definitely need to get some rest once they got there, it had already been a long day between the battles and all of the hiking.
