“Yes, that may be but I’ll be there when you speak with her just as I’ve been there when you talk to Melody.” He would do as he’d been doing for Aloysius, playing buffer between him and the rest of his family. Liam had every right to be at such a discussion anyway, since the woman would be his mother in law, so it wouldn’t seem too awkward…at least he hoped not.
“I know, and we will be able to manage it without anyone finding out about Dessire, it helps that she’ll be helping in keeping her secret.” Because she wouldn’t want anyone to know either. Approaching his partner Liam knelt in front of him, squeezing in so he could stare up at the other. “We have time to plan, to make it perfect, because I want it to be everything we want and deserve. I’ll help you with everything.” Including his mother and hiding Dessire being a mauvian.It might be a lot of work, things he shouldn’t need to do, but he would because it would help and make sure their wedding would be a treasured memory for them both - especially Aloysius.

Moving his hands from his face as Liam looked up at him, he sighed softly in relief. “Thank you darling, I doubt I would get far with either of them without you.” It was more than that but he didn’t need to say it, not really. Trailing his fingers down their cheek he knew they’d figure out the things he was stuck on when it came to managing his sister, mauvian, and mother.
“There are plenty of places here she can dip out or pop in as needed, we just need to make sure to give her ample time to get out to the car.” It wouldn’t be hard, it just needed to be planned between the three of them. More of the tension over all the planning that needed to be done eased away as Liam reassured him of the time they had to do things still.
“I love you Liam, you really are wonderful.” Leaning down to kiss them, he stood and pulled them up with him. They’d gotten a good enough look for now so he wanted to head out before whatever was going on decided to stop and the frozen people would spot them trespassing.

“I know but that’s why you have me. A couple is supposed to help each other, so I fill in areas where you need help and vice versa, it’s a balance and this is where I come in.” Shrugging as he smiled at his partner. There were times when Aloysius took over, where he was needed for things, it was just how couples worked as far as he figured. “I think we can manage to give her ample time, if we have to sneak her out of the car in a tote bag or something.” They would, without a doubt, make it easy and see to it happening. Desiree would be there at the wedding in a human form so she could properly enjoy things.
Returning the gentle kiss he stood slowly, pulling the other along with him. “I love you as well, you know that, you are more than I ever hoped for. This is all more than I ever dreamed of.” So much more and he was going to grasp it with both hands and not let go, this was his and he’d fought hard for it and had earned this. This was his happy life and Liam was going to enjoy every moment of it, even if all the planning might be stressful. It was all part of this happiness.

Moving along past the frozen people, he was careful so that neither of them bumped into the trash man or the half open door. This would be a good place maybe, it was nice and quiet but another look was needed during the daytime. Turning to face Liam after they cleared the door and were back out in the snow, he held both their hands. They were far enough towards the front of the church again to avoid being seen just in case.
“I know but I enjoy hearing you say it, it helps when I worry like with that call in the fall.” Squeezing their hands slightly as he spoke, he moved in close again. “You deserve the world Liam and I will always try to help give it to you, never forget that.” As soon as the words passed his lips, the bell continued tolling and the snow began to fall again. Time started to move forward as if nothing had happened.
“I would say that is a good enough sign as any that we should head home, the wind will be starting up again.”

“I know, and I’ll be there to handle those worries, to assure they are nothing but silly things.” Silly and in need of banishing, because nothing was going to happen to Aloysius. That call, a few months back, had been a problem but he’d handled it well enough. At least he was able to get about so quickly, and easily, via mirror walking. It wasn’t as nice as teleporting but it was close enough.
Startled at the sound, the bell tolling, he jumped a bit in the other's arms. “I know, and you know I’ll never ask for the world.” He was content with what he had, what would be his, the world was not needed. He wasn’t so ambitious or looking to have too much. Aloysius had gotten lucky in that Liam was no gold digger and didn’t seek too much from his partner.
“Mmm, home sounds nice right now. I think it’d be nice to get home and savor the warmth. I can get a fire going and we can watch a movie or something. We can find a Christmas movie or something?” He was certain between the two of them they could figure something out to watch.
