Raeka Everett-Maris

Status: Reminding Eren why he is inferior.
Location: Train Tracks of Destiny.
Spells:
Bio, Dark (x?), Demi (x2?), Charm, Debrave, Silence, Regen, Confuse, Sleep

Raeka's face grew a wicked grin as Eren closed the gap. It was a fair enough move, to get inside the preferred range of a melee weapon and make it inefficient in such tight quarters. There was a further curiosity that Mr. Kyng would get tested on in this fight. Did he know what Soul Eater was? Like a wicked veil covering the sword, darkness consumed the Gunblade as the combatant formerly known as Raeka engaged in a little known ability. Dark Side. No pain, no gain.

It was to be declared a trade. The gunblade snapped into a new form, a shorter reaching scythe that was very fast on the return swing. Raeka happily ate the jab, debilitating himself further and increasing the damage he took by utilizing darkside, he brought the now gunscythe back around to bite at his opponent's side. While his guiding arm could have forgone the return attack to block the follow up hook to the core. But no, no, no, he was pretty sure his trick would trade better.

By the time the hook hit, Raeka's return blow should likely land, and when it was close enough he pulled the trigger. While the known danger of a gunblade may be recognized, his specialized trick weapon ejected a different sort of cartridge. Made for sorcery, made for magic, and emboldening the gun weapon's explosion to be larger and more devastating, and that was before the amplification of Dark Side.

This was a man's game, some sort of melee chicken. There was a chance that Eren would abandon the commitment to the fight before the attacks traded, otherwise Raeka would soon be sucking air from the attack.

Song of the moment: Gospel of Bullets

┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━═✥═━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓

Mai had normally been one to listen to conversation, but with Robin not doing anything she ordered, and instead taunted her and threatened Raeka, Mai merely decided it was time to let go of her safe guards. "You just had to say something stupid." Mai replied to Robin, her body heating up greatly now as her limbs and chest began to glow brightly, overclocking and heating up. She holstered her rifle and instead pulled out dual revolvers, custom built with the same designs as Maris, only touched up by Mai to add to her own flare, adding what appeared to be blades at the undersides of the revolvers. "By the time Galbadia is done with your rebellion, there will be nothing left to mourn your death. I'll make sure of it." She stated coldly before opening fire on Robin.

---------------------------------------------

Seeing no one right off the bat put suspicion on Yukiko. Dead guards and no one in the room? Yeah she wasn't going to buy that. Seeing as the room was filled with important control panels though, she holstered her lmg and instead unsheathed her arm and leg blades, entering the room quietly. Reaching into her pouch, she pulled out 2 smoke grenades and rolled them into the room, letting it fill up the room in smoke while she shut the door behind her to prevent the smoke from getting out. There as she walked in, she heard the sound of someone shuffling and then shouting out a blind spell at her. Thinking fast, she dove behind the cover of the terminal, opposite side of Nami as gunshots rang out, she did get hit with the blind and grazed in the side by the bullet. When she managed to get behind cover, she quickly dug around for her eye drops, and made sure to crush the liquid over her eyes, removing herself of the blindness, but finding herself now injured lightly. With the smoke in the room, she at least had some cover to fight in close quarters. She would have to be careful now. She couldn't let Nami get the upper hand.

Eren Kyng x Raeka Everett-Maris

Melee chicken it was.

The difference is strength would like call the victor in the clash, and Kyng had made a calculated gambit that he could output more damage than Raeka. Eren did not know what game Raeka was up too beyond their physical gambit here, but when the smaller man made no resistance to block either the jab or hook, he couldn't quite understand. There was no way the Galbadian imagined he could win the encounter with a single blow? Joke was on him, with all the negatives it came with, endurance checks were something he was well acquainted with from training with Robin.

His eyes shifted slightly when he heard the action of the Gunblade shift, a twing of concern hit. Eren had the advantage at a melee conflict now that he was within the blades wanted reach, but if it had a new form? He didn't have much time to analyze further as a explosion rocked his world.

For a moment it all went black. Kyng came too just a moment later, momentary shook from the repeatedly amplified gunblast from his opponents weapon. The sick black and purple cloud of what should have been gunsmoke, only reminded him of how much bullshit sorcery was. A quick shake of his head as he pulled himself up back to his feet using the curb next to him, his mind ran through a few options. Ultimately it settled on those were some modifications never bothered by his own expertise since they seemed geared toward the Everett special.

Silver spoon had to be nice. Bringing his fists back to fight, it seemed his opponent had caught his breath after sucking air from Eren's right hook. A step forward and he stumbled, pain screaming from his right side, a fast glimpse revealing both the magical burn and blade gash from his opponents attack. Oh that was a bad trade for the juggernaut, and a unfortunate truth. He probably shouldn't be measuring d**k sizes right now, and he suspected the Everett wouldn't continue to play 'fair'.

Taking out a bottle of remedy, the bottle shattered in his hand as a bullet whizzed by, his opponent having drawn one of his secondary weapons. The man would have cursed if he could speak, but instead he broke for cover, downing a second Remedy once he broke line of sight. Luckily Haste was still making him move quick, as he left the other side of cover, he would have been ambushed by his opponent who normally would have been faster.

More recognizing the motion than the actual attack, Eren did a deep lean to avoid what he expected to be another gunblade or gunscythe attack, but instead the whoosh that whipped past his head alerted him the equation had changed. Bringing up his left gauntlet, he blocked what was a follow up attack, before realizing he only stopped the middle section of some sort of nunchuks. The solid thud he felt as the third bar slammed into the back of his head threw Kyng for a loop. Unfortunately it was only the start of the wild ride as mana was channeled through the successful attack and inflicted Darkness.

Eren covered up, bringing both of his arms to defend himself, although he failed to come up with a exit strategy as a flurry of electrified blows wailed on him. When three successive blows focusing on his blade wound struck, he could weather no more.

Nami Almasy vs Yukiko Rieko

It was a smoke filled shack with two bombshells ready to go. Nami was not ready to let this chick recover from being blinded, and holstering one of her guns dove through the darkness, flashing one of his knives as she slashed through the obscuring smoke. A clang rung out as Yukiko happened to block the blade with one of her eyes, blinking away the effects of blind as her eye drops took effect.

Nami leveled her gun and fired again, forcing Yukiko to retreat into the ever thickening smoke as her blicky sent strays. Rieko threw a nullshock at her own feet, keeping Vira and Mira in a defensive posture as she kept on task. All she needed to do was buy a moment to reactivate the controls so the rebels could get away, and judging by the blind fire... Nami wasn't exactly keeping track of everything in this smokescreen.

A flicker of her eyes at the controls, Rieko changed tactics, bringing her machine gun back to bear, she began to spew bullets haphazardly around the confined quarters. The sound retorts of a full mag dump like that was deafening, and the whizzing of rounds through the small arena caused Nami to duck back behind cover, and keep moving as a few spare rounds popped through the inadequate obstacles. Even still, it wasn't enough to keep the shark girl down, as she was able to yell a few words even though it was deafened out by the gunfire.

The water spells did not hit anything specific, but it was only a few moments before the water was surging in at least knee deep. Unsure of what the water was for, Yukiko dropped her mostly empty weapon, the sling growing tight as it caught and she turned to operate the console. Rubbing a bit of the irritating smoke out of her eyes, she was able to undo the locks and free the rebel train before cutting a hole in the console and letting the waist deep water fry the systems.

Turning to wade her way out, she felt a sharp pain in her thigh as a dagger bit deep into it, and squinting as she looked down she saw her opponent... swimming like a fish? What? Luckily, her arm blades were longer, and a few blade thrusts were able to momentarily throw off the harasser. Objective completed, it was time to go, and keeping a focused awareness of the water, she began to wade for an exit before she heard the splash of water.

Spinning to face her attacker, she saw nothing until the smaller girl fell from above downward thrusting with two knives. The impact pushing the two into the water, and with blood in the water, Nami was preparing to frenzy before she saw the soft smile on Yukiko's face. A glance revealed two grenades, pins pulled in her hands, the silent under water f-bomb was nothing compared to the two literal lightning bombs that went off.

The resulting force blew the door out of it's frame, and both combatants came sliding out with the draining water. The rebel slightly better for ware, her nulshock preparation helping her withstand most of the attack while her eager opponent was all 90 pounds of soaking wet. Though they both had difficulty rising, Rieko got to her feet first. Hands on her LMG, lightning crackled through her as she accessed her limit break, Shocking Hailstorm Fire.

To her credit, Nami scrambled as the best of them could to get out of dodge, but between the smoke, lightning, water and forced movement she had lost her orientation. Getting tagged before she could make it wholly behind cover, the lightning storm of bullets dropped the Almasy. Fortunately, Rieko only had a few rounds left in the drum, and that attack always left the barrel over heated.

Satisfied her end was done, she moved to check on the train car, spotting it slowly beginning to make it's escape, and a familiar pink mass collapsed on the tracks. Lifting Eren best she could, she hurried to get him on their only escape outlet.

Robin Anundr x Mai Zeigmus

As expected, Mai took her shot. Robin was already head of her, having called her game. Watching the girl heat up was interesting, a guess that she had temporarily enhanced performance at the cost of endurance. Short burst for maximal performance. Robin met her opening salvo as they traded shots. Perhaps it was a odd reversal of roles that the technical underdogs in this dispute had included two Juggernaut. Eren, and the true powerhouse, Robin. The World Breaker.

The trade rocked Mai more than Robin, who seemed freakishly unperturbed by lead thumping into her skin. It was a nanosecond of confusion, as Mai had understood she was the one that was a cyborg weapon. Still, before the smoke cleared Robin was bursting through the smoke, with Mai deflecting the first hammer swing whilst leaning far back to avoid the strike. Even with minor redirection, the power of it sent Mai off-balance, a move she corrected with a somersault before leveling her revolvers again and firing at her opponent.

There was a pang of concern as Mai knew she was the most stout combatant on their side of the field, and knowing that even grazing blows and deflections carried enough force to knock her off balance. It was time to use all she had, feeling the heat rise as she used her over clocked body to make distance. Eyes narrowed as the rocket-hammer b***h was soaring after her in a chase down, but Zeigmus was no green recruit who couldn't learn and adapt. A sharp turn compared to Robin's more linear pathing helped keep the red head away from the cyborg, who let off two more shots to let the hammer chick know.

These last two were blocked, as best as one could with a forearm at least, but it seemed to be grinding on Robin's patience. Mai focused her automated aiming on the engine of the hammer, and when predictably Robin launched herself once again to close the gap, she brought up her revolvers and used both of their double trigger mechanisms. Four rounds slammed into the hammer and caused the larger girl to lose balance, crashing into the earth and opening her up for an assault.

The play seemed to have good effect, the Pow-Pow hammer sliding away from the red head who seemed somewhat out of it. Darting in with speed enhanced by her cybernetics, her burning crimson gears added power to the book that kicked Robin over, before putting the last two rounds into her opponents sternum. Blood may have been drawn, but Mai found herself staggered as Robin cracked the ground by her feet with her bare hands. Mai tsked at herself, realizing that Robin's initial injury was simply a ploy, quickly reloading she took her best escape vector before the first impact came.

A smaller hammer had slammed into her ankle, Zeigmus stumbling from the impact before her sensors let her detect a much heavy projectile was coming. Quickly leaning back, the over-wrought Pow-Pow hammer rocketed past her, before a alarm blared a fraction of a second as a third hammer pelted her shoulder. Mai knew these were just to keep her movement staggered, cursing as it worked and Robin closed the gap in the meanwhile.

The galbadian warmonger swung her blade-gun in a predictive arc, though to her surprise Robin had stopped the aggression momentarily and was positioning herself too close, intervening in movement and preparing for entrapment. Taking a risk with her second gun, she swiftly arced it up and sent two rounds as Robin's head, who avoided the counter attack, and retorted with what Mai could only describe as the hardest headbutt she had ever received. Her Heads Up Display flashed warnings all over, before she was jerked forwards as her revolvers were ripped out of her hands.

A scream of frustration, she pushed herself harder, her body burning as she swung a heavy right hook that landed flush, only to be met with a body shot that broke something. More warnings, they both could smell the burning metal as swing with a haymaker. A powerful blow that landed, but retaliated with a elbow hook to Mai's jaw. Her time was up, gritting her teeth for the final attack, she couldn't explain Robin's resilience to attacks that even as tough as she was should have more effect. On the last fumes, she could at least focus to learn, she put her arms forward for her bow out.

Turning off the safety of the grenade launchers in her arms, she put two shells forward for a point blank impact. Her sensors detected the twitch before she saw it, Robin's defensive adaptability before the explosives went off, rocketing her away from her chosen opponent. Burnt out, she could only mentally brace for the impact against the concrete floor that never came. Something had caught her, and a familiarly unfamiliar voice spoke. "Page kures, hoath."

Robin Anundr x Raeka Everett-Maris

The giantess took a glance over at the train, seeing it begin to depart with her team mates on it. Though before she turned to leave she did have the displeasure of noticing the body of Raeka catch her recently fallen foe. She frowned. This one had single handedly stopped the train before, and this commotion would not go unnoticed in a occupied state. But she was a SeeD, and the job had her square up once again as she realized that this last one needed to be dealt with so the rebellion could have a fighting chance to escape.

She didn't even have the wherewithal to dunk on Eren, but even if she did, this once she may just give him a pass. Taking her hammer, she prepared to swat down another one of the authoritarian fools before she could feel the heat building up. With a mighty roar, Ifrit revealed himself and hellfire followed. The Anundr opened her mouth to protest, being seeing her Guardian Force immediately slam tackle Diablos out of the sky, she returned her attention to her opponent with a snap.

He was a weird one. He had already mounted Cerberus and summoned two guardian forces so quickly? With a aggravated grunt, she moved behind a signpost, and batted it into the sky to eat a couple of Cerberus' rockets that had been fired off. "G trian uls." Ugh, what a freak. Well, it was time to handle business unfortunately, it was time to dig into her pile of tricks. Taking out some sort of potion, she took a drink of it before bringing up her hammer to defend herself from the three headed mutts laser missiles.

Smoke clearing, the girl with the yellow aura was hoping to launcher her counter attack before she found herself harried by both a gunblade swinging lunatic and his giant death dog. Luckily Ifrit had forced himself to come out, otherwise she was sure this would be a three on one fight. As a blocked gunblade swing exploded with a added pressure of some sort of dark energy, the 'rebel' expressed a bit of concern. Darkside could lead to nasty damage quick, and more credence to Eren lasting long as he did. Good job pinky.

'Pushed' back into Cerberus, when the creature took the chance at the opportunity that it thought was open, it was given the privilege of being the first combatant here to suffer the counter-offensive power of Counter Smash. A creatively named limit break that Robin used to slam the Guardian Force senseless. With the dissipated doggo, she spun her hammer to face her real opponent. Spellcasters couldn't be given room to breathe, and he was stupid enough to get close.

Moving in, she went on the offensive with a series of swings meant to overwhelm her foe, and perhaps normally it would have, but his weapon snapped into a scythe and with careful hooks and pulls, he was redirecting her attacks with a strange ease. Robin grunted in frustration, utilizing the rocket feature of her hammer to reverse an attack that should have landed dead on, but it seemed the damned thing just got heavier and slower.

It clipped the Everett, although for a sorcerer she wasn't sure about how difficult it would be to take down a foe like this. Swinging her hammer again in a optimistic gamble to finish the fight now, ethereal resistance made her attack far, far slower than it should have been. Suddenly her hammer grew heavy, cracking the ground as it dropped like a stone, she couldn't quite immediately fathom a opponent freely manipulating gravity again like this. Pushing past the weight, her best bet was to end this now.

Before she could close the distance, a invisible claw took grip of her, the same kind that had caught the train before and had begun to crush it. It seemed the process was going to repeat again here, and gnashing her teeth she looked for her best escape, before taking another glance at Raeka. She caught his eyes, and for a moment stopped struggling. "Wait, you're not... Those were not the same eyes of the boy she had spent time with last time on shore leave.

Before she could get lost in either the pain or the question, a hail of electrified bullets rained down upon Raeka, Yukiko having returned with a fresh mag and still injured enough to re-apply her limit break if given long enough. Luckily between all the heavy hitters, she had a fairly easy time being the third party on this fight. Raeka's focus being shifted from being peppered with dozens of lightning rounds, he was stunned enough from the incoming damage that Robin closed the distance and used what left she had from aura, catching the boy with her patented God-Hand.

The boy rocketed out of the fight into a parked train car, turning it into a pretzel around him, the red head frowned. She was pretty sure she had just killed the premier sorcerer's firstborn son, though before that thought was explored, Ifrit crashed into the ground as the sky darkened.

Perhaps Diablos was the only Galbadian here who could hold their own in a fair fight. Robin went to pick up her hammer once again as stray bullets began to pepper her area, and she cursed. The reinforcements had finally arrived, and with the flying demon b*****d, Robin only shook her head. "Withdraw, I've got this." As much as she disliked it, the mission came first, and in all honesty, she was the only one left that had a reasonable chance to buy time.

Robin Anundr x The Galbadian Army

Rieko nodded at the order. It was a bitter one, but she understood that even without Robin, two SeeD still was better than one, and at this juncture there was no way everyone was getting away. Even Yukiko had to admit to herself she had little chance after that encounter with the school girl to hold off any sizeable force for long. Even with a Dark Messenger descending, Yukiko could only make her escape, and hope this land stand was worth it.
