Grinning at the dogs, Shelly whistled softly, calling Poseida to her. As she re-attached the leash, she bent over her dog and planted multiple kisses on the top of the otterhound’s head.
“Oh, if it’s the café I’m thinking of, it’s awesome. They’re great with dogs and they made some bombass dog cookies. Their grilled cheese and tomato soup combo is pretty good too.”
She paused for a moment, considering. “If they have the dog cookies I’ll pick some up for girly here and take some home for Brick and Brack. They’re my sweet old men,” she added, explaining to Mel. Then, she laughed as the mention of the other dogs had gotten some serious wrigglebutt from Poseida. “Yeah, you love your brothers, don’t you, sweetheart. Yeah, we’ll take ‘em some cookies. They’ll like that.”
Finally standing up, Shelly stretched and grinned over at her friend.
“We are seriously gonna have to do this more often. But for now, onward to food! Before these guys discover their second winds!”
