Had he really never told her? Oly couldn't help a laugh that helped his tense shoulders lower. "No, it's alright. Not too many big families like ours out there. The oldest two had left by the time my brother and I were born, so it was only everyone together for special occasions when they could come. To be fair, I can't imagine what it's like being an only child." Especially having a twin, the concept of being the only one was just completely lost on him. Plenty of people had told him what is was like, but that didn't mean he understood it.
The compliment earned a chuckle, but his expression was giving in to his concerns. Mina was injured, weighed down by the remaining armor under the cloak, and exhausted. "Well, Mino'aka, previously of Lokelani, I'm afraid I must spring a rather selfish request of you before we go too much further." Mina was a hero.. but she wasn't immortal. She was still a person. A real person; with strengths and weaknesses. "Of course I say this with the utmost regard for your abilities." He inhaled deeply before he turned his back to Mina and knelt down to offer a mount. Of the options for carrying a person, this was probably the most reasonable; even if he'd rather just carry her close in his arms. "Please, allow me to carry you the rest of the way."

The rustle of her armor was becoming more apparent with each jagged step. Normally there was only the slight 'c***k' as Mina walked, but now that her legs felt wobbly she couldn't keep the metal over her shins from banging around. "Hmm?" A request? She pulled up to a stop - a sloppy one at that - and slow blinked at Oly. Was he...?
She let out a little breathless laugh that settled into a softened, exhausted smile. He could have left her back in that healer's hut and she wouldn't question it, but here he was, showing far more strength of character than anyone had any right to. "You know just the right things to say to make a girl melt." Quite literally, if the way she got onto his back was anything to go off of. The whole affair was quite awkward, between the remaining armor and her injuries, but once Mina had settled the little Hapuna sighed into a boneless heap. Her head laid on his shoulder, partially obscured by her hair and for a moment she was content just to close her eyes. "Thank you; I don't think I could have made it another block."

Oly ignored the looks from those around them. Seeing a guy knelt in front of a woman but facing the wrong way was.. certainly confusing them. He couldn't help a small smile of relief when he felt her climb up and apparently turned into jelly. Hopefully she would still be awake by the time they reached her home to get herself comfortable before passing out! "You're welcome," he replied gently as he stood, unable to resist a glance toward the shining head of hair on his shoulder. So real. "Don't worry, we're not too far off." He faced forward again and walked with a quick but smooth step to keep from jostling his charge. "One last question to learn about you with." A second chance for them... "What do you do for a living?"

"I fight for love and justice," Mina murmured. Her face was buried into the cloth on his shoulder, but she'd turned just enough so that her voice was next to his ear. "Every night I go out...and try to stop smugglers, thieves...bandits..." Her voice was already dropping off. "And during the day I do whatever I can to earn some coin...crime fighting doesn't pay much...and..."
Somewhere in her mind she thought she was still talking, but in truth Mina had gone quiet. Her body fully succumbed to the exhaustion weighing on it and within a matter of heartbeats the golden Hapuna was out.

Oly couldn't help a small smirk. Love and justice. How poetic. He paused his steps just long enough to listen to Mina's breathing once she had passed out and made sure it was steady. It would be better to hurry on and get her home. Removing her armor for her should be fine, but hopefully she would be okay going to bed in dirty clothes. They weren't exactly that close yet!
How close was he planning to get with her now though? As he looked at her slumbering face, he knew that it wasn't really a question for him. Was he being a complete sucker for wanting to keep being with Mina? Possibly. Did that fact change anything? Not a damned thing.
