Snowball had finished the upgrades to the ring just as the force field popped up and his tail flicked grinning, "Good job!" He said watching the squire.
"Annndd I got your ring finished!" He said as he continued to wait.Niflhel's nose wrinkled at the mildly sharp pains and stopped when she fell to one knee. He nodded in agreement when Snowball said good job. "Yes, well done!"
It was an impressive force field really, though he didn't care for the prickliness of it at the moment he assumed that'd go away when he wasn't trying to get her to throw her magic out at him.
He finally moved though finding it difficult to offer the squire his hand to help her back up. "I think you deserve a rest now." He added as looked towards Snowball who'd finished the ring upgrade.

Ekstrom took his offered hand and carefully got herself up off the ground. “Thank you so much!” she said, beaming brightly at Niflhel first, and then at Snowball. “Both of you, seriously.”
His suggestion to rest was met with a nod–she was beat, between the work she’d done prior to the two of them joining her and what they’d done just now. She was still energetic, sure, but there was no way she’d be able to keep on with training and get up in time for work in the morning if she didn’t stop now.
“That sounds like a plan to me.” She hesitated a moment, before adding, “Would you be okay if I reached out in the future, maybe for a spar or patrol or something like that?”

Niflhel nodded "Of course." He paused for a moment, "It only makes sure everyone stays safe if we help each other."
"Sure." He said with a shrug when asked if he could be reached out to.Snowball couldn't help but roll his eyes at Niflhel. "You're welcome, we like to help those in need, right Niflhel?"
He jumped down from the table and wrapped himself around the squire's legs offering her ring to her. "If you need anything don't hesitate to reach out to either of us. I don't often uncat just because it ends up painting a huge target on me; but in a pinch or when there's a need, I'm able to do more than just use my claws."
He said with a chuckle. "For now I suppose we should probably part ways, get some rest and see what adventure tomorrow holds."

Ekstrom looked relieved when they both said that she could reach out in the future, if ever, and smiled fondly down at the Mauvian as he curled around her legs. “Thank you,” she said, gingerly taking the ring back from him and slipping it onto her finger. “I’ll have to play around with this a bit to see what all you updated. I may not look it because I’m a little tired, but I’m excited to do that!”
Stooping down once more, she gently ran her fingers through the fur atop his head and gave him a few scratches behind his ears. “Mm…you’re probably right. I’m sure there’ll be plenty more of that for tomorrow.”
With that the Squire stood up and gestured in the direction of her home. “I’m that way. Hopefully I’ll see you guys around! If not by chance, we can always arrange meetings and stuff. Y’know, to help each other out with training and patrols and other things.” She took a step toward home as she started waving. “Good night!”
And she was off.

"You're welcome!" Snowball said as she spoke about having to play around with the ring to see what was updated. "That's fine, casting magic can be exhausting."
He leaned into the head scratchies and purred. He might be a cat that talks and does stuff unlike a normal cat but he still liked when people gave him pets. he nodded and looked over towards Niflhel who to him seemed thoughtful.
A glance was cast back to the squire, "Good night!"Niflhel nodded and he left the cat to do the talking as he was looking at his chain. Something was off. Though right before Esktrom left he heard her mention which way she was headed, he nodded towards the other direction, "We're over that way. We should run into each other again." He added, he was trying to be more active in patrols.
It was something to keep him busy. When she left he noticed Snowball watching him.
"Lets go home." He said scooping up the cat and placing Snowball on his shoulder so he could move faster and keep the cat from asking what he was thinking about.
