“For a while actually, from what I can tell.” Abzu laughed. “Seems like they met due to the war. Think they met in 2011?” Stromboli was happy to talk about his kids and he had managed to gleam some details from that long before Encke was more willing to talk to Stromboli’s boytoy on a more regular basis. He was … admittedly glad Encke was beyond that stage now. Made things easier to coordinate…
The joke she made actually drew an outright snicker from Abzu, happy to play along, pressing a hand to his heart as if flattered by something so terribly romantic. His posture settled as she talked though, and as she approached, he took her offered hand and gave an enthusiastic shake, circling back to the new engagement.
“Absolutely yes, I’ll absolutely!”
He snickered quietly to himself, dropping the act altogether and going back to the easy, friendly vibe he was giving off.
“I think we can absolutely work together on this.”

“I’m glad to hear that,” she said, giving his hand a proper shake and then adding, with a half-giggle, “Partner.”
Honestly, she was very glad to have gotten the chance to talk to him.
After the handshake, she stepped away a bit, and glanced around, also making a point of checking for any new auras. There did not seem to be any. After a moment of that, she said, “Well, the park seems quiet enough now that the youma is gone, so I think I’m going to head home for now and check on those spouses.”
She didn’t like making them worry.
“I know you have my contact information from the bank, so feel free to message me if you meet anyone, or if you have any ideas.”
She raised a hand in goodbye, and then started past him on the path. “I’ll see you later, Abzu.”

Abzu's eyes danced.
“Lovely to have you as a partner!”
The enthusiasm’s pitch was exaggerated, but he was delighted by the concept of having more people to work with. He'd have to relay the news to the Bells, probably – he was fine being a relay if it got more events coordinated, or more people in safe spaces. “Absolutely. I'm probably going to go back to playing my sax. Make a habit of just hanging out and seeing who I can attract.”
It was sometimes enemies, sometimes friends, sometimes just some curious animals that were wondering what the noises were. Honestly, either way, it was worth it. He had had some interesting conversations no matter what. The only way it wasn't worth it was when certain upstart generals decided that he needed to have his starseed removed…
Abzu buried the memory and moved on.
“Absolutely, and because of that you can probably find mine too!” Not that Abzu was a particularly hard person to locate considering the whole saxophone thing… “You have a good night, Cybele!”
