With Trent on the ropes, the crowd cheers as Cartwright takes a few steps back, as he prepares to launch himself towards Trent and send them both toppling over the top rope with a crossbody!

Trent didn't get enough to readjust and counter the attack. As both men would go over the top rope and hit the padding on the outside pretty hard.
A crazy maneuver for Cartwright as he would be on the receiving end of the crash as well, maybe even putting himself in a worse position.

Cartwright isn't afraid to go high-risk, high-reward when the time calls for it, as Trent is finding out first-hand tonight.
The Lad hits the padding with a thud, landing on front after rotating over the top rope with Trent.
Both men take a moment to recover, with Cartwright getting to his feet first, looking to Irish Whip Trent towards the steel barricade!

Trent would get to his feet shortly after Cartwright. Despite taking less of the blow as far as the people could tell, he was really soaking in the extra time to recover. And it would pay off.
Just as Trent was about to meet with the steel steps from the whip, the former world champion would have kept a grasp of Cartwright's hand, initiating a whip of his own. Aiming Cartwright right at the steel steps that were intended for Trent.

Trent reverses the Irish Whip and the momentum, driving the champion in to the steel steps shoulder-first, causing the top half of the steps to fly over the steel barricade and towards the fans, who run for their own safety!

A large bang could be heard, and for those who weren't watching for a moment, they expected to see the former champion laying in waste before the champion. But when everyone dialed in back after the noise, they would see that it was the champion who would be sprawled out in front of the separated stairs.
Meanwhile, Trent would be standing over the champion. Looking down at him before dropping to his side on a kneel and raining down multiple strikes to the head of Cartwright.

Trent keeps the punishment going with strikes to the head, eventually cutting the champion open, causing blood to drip down The Lad's face!

It was obvious the wounds from a month ago were still not fully healed. That, or Trent was really swinging on those strikes. Maybe a bit of both. As Cartwright would be opened up the hard way.
Trent would stop as the blood began to form a crimson mask along the entirety of Cartwright's face. Relieving a laugh for a moment, before pulling Cartwright back to his feet. Using most of his power to lift the dead weight Champion. If successful in his attempt, he would prop Cartwright against the apron.

Trent is able to place Cartwright where he wants him, leaning against the apron, while the crowd boos him for bloodying their hero!

The crowd were getting louder and louder, as Trent grew more volatile the longer he heard them. Getting up into Cartwright's face, he would lightly slap it twice, before grabbing the bloke by his hair.
Turning around toward the other side of the ring opposite of the stairs, the former world champion would take the current world champion, looking to pull and throw him face first into the turnbuckle post.

Trent slaps Cartwright around and pulls him by the hair, which visibly angers The Lad.
As Trent prepares to hurl Cartwright towards the turnbuckle post, Cartwright plants his feet on the floor and tries to reverse the direction, looking to direct Trent over the Spanish announcers table!

The group of Spaniards would hustle to the side of their table as fast as they could. Some of their gear getting ripped off and thrown to the wayside as Trent would go flying over the table. Almost taking the cover completely off with him.
Once the camera went around the table, they would zoom in on Trent who would be completely surrounded by gear and chairs, not able to really move, even if he wanted to get up right away. The toss being very effective and the fall being a rough one to say the least.

Cartwright looked relieved that his reversal had worked and saved him from the turnbuckle.
The Lad makes his way over to the Spanish announcers table, where he looks to stomp away at Trent, while he is surrounded by clutter!

Trent began to move through the debris that surrounded him, only to get viciously stomped down by his opponent. Seeing the predicament he was in where he could not move well, the former world champ would look to just block as much as he could.

Trent covers up to try and protect himself from the rain of stomps, which was good for the champion releasing some aggression, but perhaps not the most effective attack!
Cartwright decides to bring Trent up to his feet, so he can try to bounce his head against the announcers table!
