“You should check with Jett first, but as long as he is ok with it, I’m available after work tomorrow if you want to text me the address.” She’d have to make a quick stop at the store so she didn’t show up empty-handed. Maybe a toy for the kids or some food she could contribute towards snacks or dinner.
Sage reached for another cheese stick and now that they had sufficient time to cool, she held no reservations on enjoying the next few bites.
“This has been fun,” she started speaking before swallowing and had to cover her mouth while she finished chewing.
Reaching for her glass of water she downed the remainder of what was in her cup.
“Thank you for suggesting we come here. I feel a lot better after the incident earlier.”The next several minutes, while they waited for the check, was spent in idle chit chat about things that had happened over the last few days. Once their meal was paid for the two headed outside where they found a safe place to power up and a mirror for both of them to use as a doorway home.
Hekate had never felt comfortable enough to call out to another member of her court for help. But today she had found the courage to reach out and was relieved, if not glad, that Lenka had responded.
