Rainier remained where she stood a step away from him. For all the people she interacted with daily, responding to calls or at the precinct, she understood that some people preferred not to be touched and she respected that but still kept a close eye on him as he massaged his temple.

“I think we should go back,” she chimed, sparing a glance to the twins who approached slowly. Alcor still rubbed her eyes to clear the spots from her vision while her sister guided her to them. “It’s been a long hike,” Fortunately most was downhill but added obstacles made this trek more suitable for intermediate adventurers at bes; which, by the looks of it… Eleonora was not. “I’m ready to go if you two are.”

“I’m- I’m fine heading back now, too.” She looked over at the two knights and found herself thankful that she could at least make out most of the details on their uniforms at this close distance. “Lesson to the recently learned, when they say not to look into the sun or at a bright light, it is not a kind suggestion.” Despite her attempt at a joke, her pale expression and dry laugh were a pretty good indicator of how embarrassed she felt.

Perhaps if he were to bring them back again then maybe they could explore someplace else on the map, but for today they’d achieved their goal without any grievous accident… That is except for the one to her pride for getting startled and falling over the way she did.

“I’m not particularly hungry at the moment,” not entirely true but she picked up on her sister's attempt to bow out and since they arrived together, it made sense that they went home together if only to avoid having to order an Uber ride later. “I would like to ask you to please reach out to me and let me know how you’re doing.” To this request, Alcor offered Beira a genuine smile.

She felt Eleonora lean against her shoulder, a wordless question of ‘are you ok’, and she leaned back in a gesture suggesting that everything was fine. Twins, and their silent communication with simply knowing.

By his word and will, the four of them left Beira’s world in a fashion similar to how they arrived and parted ways for now but not forever.
