“Take a sick day, I’ll even post a sign of some sort on the door, and stay at my place. We can do breakfast in bed and talk if you need to.” Much as the idea of eating in bed bothered him, he didn’t like the idea of his bed becoming a mess from food. But he was looking to offer the other what comfort he needed, he’d just faced down a dead body for the first time as well as a pack of ravenous youma that had wanted him dead. It was a lot to take in, and he’d never had youma want to kill him.
“You might have further to go but it’s not that much, and I might have grey hairs…they’d just be very hard to find.” And he wasn’t about to go looking for them either, though he wouldn’t be surprised if René ever got the idea in his head to try and find one himself.
“That’s fine, take the time you need. I’m surprised you’ve been going out and making quota, I’m pleased though.” Very pleased from the sound of it. Reaching back to pet Katya’s head he smiled as he reached for one of René’s arms to wrap it about himself. “Thank you Katya, for keeping him safe and assisting.” Because he knew there was a reason he hadn’t been let in on all of this yet, and he was fine with it, he would likely be a bit too intense for René to handle just yet. He tended to jump right into things and go looking for fights, especially when he was in a bad mood, and that was not going to work for René.
“Home then.” And with a hand on them each he teleported them into the living room. He was safe to do it since Katya was with them but as soon as he’d arrived he was powering down, he still didn’t like to risk things.
“Of course, I would never say no to helping someone, especially a corrupt senshi.” Because they were above officers for her, they were her primary focus because she was a mauvian. This particular one was above everyone else though…and for such good reason. He was her generals partner and needed to learn and be eased into things. Knowing René would be taking some time off was no surprise, she would have pushed for it anyway, he needed to handle what he’d just encountered and accept that youma did not, and would never, like him or her either. It was just a fact of life for them both.

“Thank you, I’ll still probably answer a few calls on my phone or texts for the shop but I think I need the day to just rest. Breakfast sounds good, maybe not in bed but maybe that bakery again with the pastries.” Nosing the top of their head, he knew that looking for greys would be an impossibility for them with how light their hair was.
“I wanted to try and take things at an easier pace so you wouldn’t worry as much if I came along with you. I did say I wanted to help but I figured I’d be more of a drag on you unless I got a bit of experience first. Katya has been really helpful as well so it’s gone for the most part without any trouble.” He’d still leave out the few scuffles since he’d come out relatively uninjured but he felt better now that they knew some things and weren’t mad.
Blinking as they brought him home, he powered down as well and double-checked himself. He could feel a few cuts and scrapes from where he’d been dragged but otherwise, he was still okay. “I’ll be able to do that too one day I believe right? I’ve been reading up on things but a lot seems to apply more to the others and not senshi. I don’t really think I like the youma, that didn’t go anything as I had read.” Just the thought that he and Katya could have ended up like the mess beneath the brush sent a shiver through him.
“A shower sounds nice if you’ll join me?” At least here there weren’t any things to pop out so he relaxed while holding them. “You really are demanding, even out there though I prefer things when you’re Alexandre. My petit ange.” It was easier to handle, easier to wave things away when he divided the sides even if it might be a bit unfair but he’d met and known them more as a civilian so that was where he was comfortable. It didn’t mean he rejected the rest of them, this magic and war, but he needed to ease into all of that, especially with the tastes he’d gotten of how they were between tonight and the veiled hints from Katya and Chalcanthite.

“That’s fine, I can understand wanting a day off to digest things.” The bakery for breakfast…ok, he could do that. It wouldn’t be bad to get out and enjoy breakfast somewhere else, and the bakery had nice little tables and chairs set up, so they could sit and eat there. The place even had coffee, espresso and tea, not that he’d tried their drinks before. He was willing to try though, and hope for the best.
Nodding his head as Rene explained his reasoning he could certainly understand things, and Rene wasn’t totally wrong either. “That makes sense and rather than being a drag I would worry more about you.” And he might miss something, especially if they were in a fight, he was more likely to be so focused on the other being safe that he’d miss some attack coming his way. “I’m glad you thought to bring Katya with you and have her assist, she is good at what she does.” Though she really didn’t work with many corrupt senshi, or officers, as she rather stay at home and read. She was starting to branch out a bit more and do more, especially with his team.
“Yeah, you’ll be able to teleport but it’s draining at first and takes focus. If you break focus…it doesn’t work. With time, and power, it’ll take a little less focus and you can teleport faster.” It was all about time and practice…about power. With power came more things and things came easier as well. It was like working a muscle really. Smiling, leaning into the other, he couldn’t help but smile at the others words about him being demanding and how they liked him as he was - even when he was demanding. “A bath sounds better, I think you could use a soak.” And he himself would mind having a soak as well, then bed. He’d be nice and warm and it was always nice to sleep right after a hot bath. “Demanding I may be and yet you seem to approve of it - I’d say you enjoy it even.” Turning to press his lips to the others before he pulled away and headed off for the bathroom, figuring Rene would follow him. “A hot soak actually sounds really good right now…would be nice on the muscles.” Rolling his shoulders as he started to climb the stairs.
