“Yeah,” Ilsa murmured softly. The Elidae’s demeanor had shifted to the point where Ilsa was both worried for the other woman and oddly…proud? It took a lot for someone to admit things were alright, even if they so desperately wanted them to be. She reached across the space dividing them and awkwardly placed a hand on Enya’s shoulder before giving it a little pat. “Don’t rush through it. Take the time you need to process everything so you won’t have regrets.”

“Y’know…I’m starting to see why a few of the Elaria were sad to see you go.” Enya couldn’t help giving a half smile at Ilsa’s awkward attempt at comfort. It was clear the hybrid was out of her element, but the act was so genuine that it touched her heart regardless. At first she hadn’t known what to think, seeing a hybrid that was a pure blooded Aishan, but now Enya knew the truth of it. Souls like Ilsa carried all the best traits in one, pure form.
And she was happy to have her just when she needed her.
“Anyway, I’m not in the mood for moping. How about we track down some snacks for the journey? If Seiong shows up before we get back she’ll have to wait anyway so I might as well surprise her with something tasty to eat.”

“They were?” Ilsa’s eyes widened. “Do you mean your cousins?” She’d made few friends during her time in Zinris so Ilsa could only wonder who Enya was talking about. There had been a few near the end of her stay that had asked to train with her, but she couldn’t imagine her skills were any better than their own. Maybe they would just miss someone new to tease?
“…I should wait for my mothers.” Ilsa’s tone betrayed her intent. She was already thinking how good something warm to drink would feel, and a little puffed pastry, one of those yaeli things with the odd color, sounded nice.

As Enya rose a grin split her face and when she reached for her friend’s hand she was absolutely devilish. “No I mean those girls that couldn’t stop making googly eyes at you during training. You’re telling me you didn’t notice them? They were all over you!” Goddess above, that’s all she’d heard the few days she stopped by to work with Ilsa. They weren’t nearly as giggly as some of the Elidae she’d seen back home, but the intent had been abundantly clear.

If it were possible Ilsa’s cheeks would have burned a deep scarlet. “D-don’t tease me, Enya.” As she rose to stand behind the other girl that grin made her ears burn. “It’s not nice.” Surely they hadn’t been looking at her that way. Not when there were so many pure bloods around. So many stronger, faster, more attractive Elaria and – Well, what if they were looking her way?
If she could have placed a hex on Enya she would have. As they walked away to grab snacks it was all she could think about and Ilsa knew it would plague her for days to come.
