He gave her hand a squeeze and then let go as he stood up to stretch. "It's not that you're nothing without us. We're all just better with you."

He turned to shoot Mechelen a grin, because even if his future suddenly felt strange and unfamiliar, at least it had her in it. Lisse and Almere, too. "We already make a good team, we'll make a great brigade, too."
