Valek simply watched Zuri, allowing her time to process the extent of the damage. "Oddly enough I usually don't have to remove skirts from ladies in that type of manner." He quipped back lightly before raising his chin as if to accept any slap for his commentary. Still, when she acknowledged that she had time the hybrid moved to nudge her down the street away from the vendor.
"Because you'll need some clothing to go with the jewerly I just bought you." Valek replied with a grin, looping his arm through Zuri's so that he could tug her along with him. "I happen to be good friends with a decent seamstress. We'll see what she can do about your dress and if she has some other options, ones that are hopefully less disaster inducing."

Zuri opened her mouth to huff out an unamused laugh. "Honestly..." After everything that had happened, how was this man still so laid back? She was just too exhausted after that mess to really deal with his teasing. That time she had mentioned would be best spent just getting herself home to cry herself to sleep.
Yet, at the mention of shopping, her eyes involuntarily lit up with wary but hopeful interest. "You know a seamstress?" she asked, almost doubtful as she accepted the escort. She straightened her back and tried to regain any scrap of respectability that she could muster. Walking on Valek's arm... well, as long as he didn't cause any more of a scene than he already had! Would he really know someone any good at the job? Perking up with the idea of some shopping allowed a soft snort of amusement to rise from her. "I have worn dresses for years, and I have never had as much trouble with them as I do around you. I think we need to find you a priest to remove whatever curse you have on you."

Valek smirked. "Why wouldn't I? Do I not seem like a fashionable enough person?" He teased lightly as he continued guiding Zuri down the street and towards the upper districts where Madam Zayn's establishment was. Truly she was a master seamstress who was fairly famous in Sulburi, but also someone with connections to the shadowed world he lived in which had gotten him introduced in the first place. "Hopefully there will be something of interest to you here. I've heard most are pleased when they leave Madam Zayn's with new attire." He commented with a small smile, the hybrid curious about the reaction to the name drop. "As it is, I suppose I can look for a priest if you insist upon it. Once I've had any curses removed then what happens if you still end up in trouble, hmm?""
Still, he didn't have much time to continue teasing her about removing curses since the larger building was finally in view. The two-story establishment was in the center of one of the busier districts and already there were people coming in and out. "Mishal!" Valek raised a hand in greeting as he waved down an Oban girl. "The Madam is in, right? Can you let her know that I have a special guest today?" The girl nodded, a curious look crossing her expression as she turned and darted away into the building to prepare for Valek and his guest. "Alright, time to let the girls take care of you." Valek grinned towards Zuri as he ushered her inside of the building where a variety of fine silks and dresses awaited her along with some of the seamstresses who greeted Valek and started to usher Zuri forward furhter inside.

"Because you're a brute," she accused... though a tiny smirk softened her words. Valek would look quite sharp in the proper attire, but he dressed far too casually to be considered "fashionable." When that name came up, Zuri looked on with wide eyes. "Madam Zayn?" She had indeed heard that name before. Of course she had! How did Valek-? "Then surely the priest wasn't strong enough for whatever curse plagues you," she mused, though now she was more distracted by the shop coming into view. It really was the talented seamstress' shop! Valek was calling out to an employee by name! They were going inside!!
Her breath was sucked from her body as she entered the shop. She had been inside before to admire the yards of luxurious fabrics and fabulous outfits, but she had never been able to actually purchase anything more than one hair clip that she had spend months saving for. When the ladies took over and guided her inside, she tossed another look of disbelief over to Valek. This.. was real?
"Thank you," she blurted out, genuine gratefulness showing through the automatic proper behavior she had trained herself in.

"Is that so? Maybe I shouldn't go this way then....I'm too much of a brute." Teased Valek even though he still urged Zuri inside, enjoying the reaction to the name and the actual appearance of the store. He had promised that he owed her a dress, back then of course he hadn't had this connection yet but the timing was perfect now. "You're welcome. Have fun~" He waved as Zuri was led away, looking for another of the girls so that he could whisper a playful request to try and avoid dresses that could easily get caught up in wagon wheels and the like. It would probably spike up his tab but he was hoping he could bet on the Madam remembering she owed him a favor from his last mission, the hybrid smirking at the very thought when he went to go settle in the tea room to wait on Zuri.
