No one could have predicted on these two's bloody past that this is the way the match would go. But Trent was one who liked to go with the flow of the match. Now he felt the pressure mentally and physically as the legs of Cartwright would pincer Trent's midsection.

Despite that, Trent still had free arms, and he looked to use them to pressure Cart. Pushing past the pain, Trent looked to press into the chest of Cartwright while reaching for Carts arms, seeing if he can grab hold and work some magic. Of course, he had to be careful how long he was getting crushed by Cart, but he could bear this for now.

He got hold of Cartwright, now all he had to do was get the right positioning. Trent looked to squirm up a bit while holding on to the wrist of Cartwright. Which allowed Cartwright to get a better lock in with the body scissor, but Trent was willing to put himself in an uncomfortable position in order to get an advantage.

Not only that, the more movement Trent put into getting this position while getting some air flow closed off, began to exhaust Trent a bit. Not a good thing to do when starting off in a match.

Trent would cough after being constricted tighter than before. Cartwright was trying his best to incapacitate Trent with this hold. But Trent finally found his positioning as he was close enough to the head of Cartwright, where he could finally slip his open hand under the arm of Cartwright.

And finally with that, Trent would begin to apply pressure into the Americana submission. Looking to rotate his hips as much as he can while he is being constricted, applying heavy pressure to the elbow joint!

Cartwright would release his hold. But it was difficult for him to get released enough to send in knee strikes that were significant, as Trent was rotating and pressing into the legs and hips of Cartwright. Trent looked to keep the pressure as he could before Cartwright slipped away from the position Trent held. Dishing out as much damage to the elbow joint as possible and hopefully getting the tap out, if possible!

Cartwright squirming in the already hard position to hold, would cause Cartwright to break loose and Trent to lose most of his grip. Trent would try to readjust the hold as fast as he could, but in doing so, he would have to completely readjust his body again and place the hold in as tight as he had it before. Will Cartwright make it to the ropes, send some strikes, or will Trent bypass it all and get in the deadly Americano once again!?

Cartwright, despite taking damage, looked to go back on the offensive. But Trent wasn't going to allow Cartwright to get his way so easily. As when Cartwright clamped down, Trent would give a receipt for those knees, by sending elbows to the targeted arm to break any attempt at a hold Cartwright would try to get in!

Cartwright opened up and Trent took his chance to roll away. He luckily got away with very minimal damage while dealing a bit out to Cartwright.

Trent would stare over at his fellow competitor and out to the crowd as they were getting worked up. Slowly but surely, these two will go blow for blow with all they. And the crowd were ready for the journey there!
