The crowd was stunned seeing their hero knocked out in such a fashion and they hung on to the edge of their seats as Tiger went for the pin.
1.... 2...
Just before the ref's hand came down for 3, Reich somehow managed to barely pop his left shoulder off the canvas.

Tiger took a deep breath as Reich kicked out, pushing him up. He was on both knees, on the ground, furious that Reich still had any fight left in him (though not altogether surprised). He pushed himself up, aiming a few more stomps at his opponent's leg.

He grimaced at the kicks that Tiger kept putting on his injured leg and he dragged himself to the ropes and as he did so, he looked to answer a few back with his one good leg.

Tiger was caught by Reich's kick outwards - although he was expecting retaliation, the strike made their size difference apparent, as Tiger was pushed back significantly. He stumbled, almost tripping, but managed to maintain his balance, now a few feet from his opponent.

Seeing an opening, he did his best to scramble up as quickly as his bad leg would allow him and he looked to cut Tiger down with a vicious spear.

Tiger was caught violently off-guard by the sudden, explosive spear. All of his momentum was suddenly cut down by six foot of German muscle! He landed on his back, eyes bulging as he clutched at his abdomen, which was searing with pain.

It took a few moments for him to recover himself, but the roar of the crowd went through him like a shot of adrenaline. It helped him ignored the ache in his leg. He flexed it a few times as he used the ropes to pull himself up.
He retreated back into the corner and waited, begging his opponent to get back to his feet.
