He had felt rather...small and blue in their presence, plus there were a few glares as there always were but he was welcome enough for the purpose of giving their sister Zuella a child. Zuella herself was always bubbly and happy so he had felt comforted by her presence.
"Still there is something to be said for the old fashioned method..barring the whole birth part, I don't regret getting to skip that particular part, you seem to go through it rather well, does it get any easier?"
He would never have to experience that particular part of being a father thank the gods.

"Its still hard but it does sort of get easier, you know what to expect and what it will feel like. Each birth is different just as each pregnancy is different. I craved pickles something fierce when I was pregnant with Ushiruin and abhorred fish when I was pregnant with Kechiri, it is like they take over control of your body, it is very weird and most of the things the healers say are quite normal." She shrugged. There was a lot to it.
"But it is all worth it when you hold them in your arms for the first time and get to watch them grow up and become who they were meant to be, so far I have a swordfighting pirate, a soft sweet child, a sideways fish summoning son and a little girl who is most mysterious and a very deep thinker."
Each child was unique and special and she wondered if they had another who they would turn out to be.

"Your kids sound quite diverse, how is their old man? I heard that he finally became a beast master, are you not nearing a promotion yourself Sae? You have been practicing your art for a very long time, the whole town buzzes about the quality of the iron works you provide."
"As well as the fine beasts that still come out of this place." Even he had a pet from here, a perzi in fact. Who also got along great with Zuella and the kid. Thoraka used to pack him around the house all the time. Kellye had thought it was adorable and his less than furry friend had put up with it for the child's sake. Usually he found the perzi curled up on Zuella's lap while she made her special aishan blankets. He loved those blankets and so did his kitty.
"It really does feel like an age since we met. Thank you for the tea."

"You are more than welcome and please visit more often, perhaps I will drag my family out for a visit too. It would do them all some good to see Jauhar once in a while and if they don't want to come I will come anyway." There she had promised and so she would make it happen for her oldest and closest friend.
"I'm glad that you found someone who would put up with you, need you any meat or supplies before you leave, I'm sure we could help out if neccessary."
They always had plenty on the ranch, it was a golden rule that no one but no one went hungry be they animal or earthling, kahi or aishan. She and Nin made sure of it with help from all of the others, it was fortunate they had gardeners and gardener friends as well as many hunters in the family.
She hugged him again. "I must be going too, stuff to do but it was so nice to catch up."

"Yes we will make an effort to visit more often don't worry." He would make every effort too. He felt a special lightness now in his heart now that he had been able to spend time with her. Seeing old friends was more than good for the soul it seemed. He was happy that she had accepted his new family and he realized that this time they had forgotten about the tea leaves. Oh well it looked like they both already knew that they would have more kids in their future, no need to consult watery tea leaves to tell them than.
"I missed you greatly Sae, glad you got your daughter back, give her time and she will perk up and come around. The most important part is that she is home now. "
He couldn't imagine going what she went through, of course kid thieves would have a hard time with Thoraka.
