"Yes!" Orah said, nearly jumping on his suggestion. She reigned back her eagerness and softened her voice, but she couldn't help the glow that had started back up inside of her chest. "I do like that. Want that, I mean. A date."
Maybe she really had been reading too much into it.
"I wasn't sure, you know? About this... if it we were going to call it a date or not. But I would like to go on a date. With you." She flushed, feeling her tongue tripping over itself. Part of her worried he might have still meant 'date' in like, the non-serious way, but a greater part of her so wanted to believe that he really did mean it in the real, serious way. So she was going to try and risk it, and accept the let down with grace if her anxiety was telling the truth.
"I'll call you later, if that's okay? And we can figure out a good time."
