Oh my. Even through the haze of alcohol, Quynh could see that there was some grace lacking with Ika's dance movements. Still, it was actually kind of endearing to see the other Aishan warrior moving so energetically to the music...albeit in her own very unique form of dancing. "Not a problem." Quynh replied boldly, holding out her hands towards Ika so that she could grab them and follow along with the Aishan hybrid if wanted. "Just follow me, we can have some fun either way!" She truly didn't care how they stood out, as long as they were enjoying the night together. Not that many others had a chance to judge, not in such a mixed crowd where spirits were already so high.
Maybe it was the alcohol's influence, but Quynh couldn't resist the urge to compliment Ika even now. "I don't mind what dance moves you use as long as you're having fun. You're beautiful no matter what." She added with a grin, moving back and then stepping forward again with a twist and pop of her hip to match the beat of the music.

There was no hesitation when Ika stepped forward to take Quynh's hands; less, even, when she brought the Aishan close enough to brush hips. As the music ebbed and swelled so too did Ika's dancing when her body came near the other woman's. It wasn't as if she suddenly got better being near the other warrior, but she did her best to mix her disjointed moves with Quynh's more fluid lines until eventually she started to get the hang of it.
Beautiful? If Ika's skin hadn't already been warm by the dance and the liquor it would have burned. She'd been chased before - called much more provocative things - but for some reason in this moment, with Quynh, it felt so much more coy. "You shouldn't tease people like that," She grinned. "Someday someone is going to take what you say to heart."

Despite their differences in movement, Quynh did her best to try to match them until they had some sort of rhythm together in the crowd. Even if they weren't amazing dancers like some entertainers, who cared? She truly didn't care about the opinions of others at the moment anyways...save for Ika that was. As long as they were having the best night together then everything was fine. And honestly everything about tonight was an absolute delight. Quynh couldn't stop the smile on her lips or the random bursts of laughter as they swung around together with each song. Her usual boldness was only heightened in the moment, her chin raised high as if daring anyone to try to say something as they danced around.
Said boldness continued as she listened to Ika's words, another laugh escaping her lips before the corners of her mouth turned downwards from a tipsy smile into a determined expression. "Teasing? Nah, I want you to take what I say to heart. I meant it. You're beautiful, in so many ways." Quynh acknowledged as she swayed against Ika, her face close in the moment as there was a quieter moment in the song as it started to end. "I like you a lot, Ika. I wouldn't hesitate to see you more, if you'd like to see me too." She wasn't as familiar with the whole tradition of sisters seeing each other, but she knew the intention behind her words. Even if she had missed out on pairing with someone during festivities because of her uniqueness as an Aishan hybrid who roamed between settlements and wilderness, never staying in place long enough for any type of commitment while growing up if anyone had thought to pine for her instead of teasing her, it didn't mean Quynh didn't want to try something now that she was older. If anything part of her felt like she had been waiting a moment like this, her interesting having begun a while ago when she first met Ika in Chibale.
At least she had gotten that off of her chest in the heat of the moment. "And no worries if not. I'm just happy we got to spend some time together tonight, it's been a lot of fun." Quynh added after a moment, the smile returning to her lips as she looked around at the crowded tavern for a moment then back towards Ika as another song started.

What she lacked in inherent grace, Ika more than made up for in support. Whenever a particular dance called for a dip or a lift, she effortless moved her partner in whichever direction she liked. At some point throughout the night they'd started to move in sync, as if two strands of a natural force were being reunited and Ika found herself truly having the time of her life.
The same thrill that she sought in battle was here on the dance floor with Quynh and she didn't want it to stop.
"You do?" Now that they were so close with barely a breath between them Ika couldn't misplace the truth in those eyes. They were as endless as spring and despite the liquor still floating through her system Ika knew she was truly being seen. Not as a 'token' or some sort of 'mercy apprenticeship', as so many of the traditional sisters saw her, but as a person worthy of that kind of attention.
Before the next song could start, Ika pulled Quynh close and murmured, "I'd like that," before pressing her lips against Quynh's.

Oh thank Aisha. Even the heat of alcohol in her veins hadn't hid the slight nervousness that Quynh had felt expressing herself. She had tried to play it cool, but honestly part of this felt like her first hunt all over again. They were in this strange place, full of different experiences but she felt the most anticipation waiting for Ika's response. And once she received the answer that she could only dream of? Well, there was always a time and place for more talking, and nothing more needed to be said in the moment. At least she knew that for certain once Ika's lips pressed against her own, the Aishan hybrid fully leaning into the kiss and returning it with one of her own as the crowd continued moving around them to the music. For now she just wanted to continue enjoying the night and this amazing moment, having fun together with Ika before facing whatever tomorrow may bring for them. Perhaps they could take their time returning to Chibale and just spend some time in Matori together before catching the next caravan home. That wouldn't be such a bad thing, would it? It definitely didn't feel bad at all, especially not at the moment with Ika holding her as Quynh kissed her back before dancing away the rest of the evening together.
