When he came at her and yelled she went wide eyed for a second but managed to bring one hand up to block the majority of the hit to her head. “Ouch.” Well that wasn’t very nice. Wasn’t he supposed to welcome newcomers to his town? She grunted and moved so that she could aim a shoulder at him before she shifted all her weight into a gut check to knock him over. “Shut up.”

There was no warning to what the girl was about to do so he ended up getting the wind knocked out of him before landing on his back side. “Oof!” When she told him to shut up he groaned and rolled onto his side. Why in the world did hybrids even come up this way? A cough left him before he could suck a breath in but he turned his head to look over his shoulder at the girl, a glare still hot in his eyes.

She stood over the boy. Since he was down she didn’t do anything else. Had her twin been with her it would have been a different story. But her father had told her not to hit those who were already down. She simply stared at him as he turned a glare on her. A half smile in place as she felt a bit cocky over the whole exchange. She waited to see if the boy was going to try for anything else.

“Why are you just standing there?” He half grit out the words. “Go away.” He didn’t want her there. It was embarrassing to know he’d lost to a girl. Let alone a hybrid girl. He moved so that he could get up and wipe himself down. All the while he did his utter best to ignore the girl. Perhaps she would go away if he did that.

She rolled her eyes at him, her weight going to one side as one hand went to her hip. She watched him as he got up and tried to tidy himself. “Right. I think I’ll stand here like I was doing before you came along.” She said matter-of-factly. The girl lifted a brow at him to see if he objected, not that she really cared about his opinions.
