Since it was his right arm which was broken he couldn’t write, he’d learn to type with his left hand if need be, but he was fairly useless right now. He knew some would comment on him going to school, it was just a broken arm and no big deal, but he couldn’t do much in a classroom other than sit there and not take notes. He wasn’t sure if he wanted to really do that. He was sure he could add to it and say he’d been jumped and trama and such. Was it really abd of him wanting to skip out for a week or two so he didn’t risk jostling his arm and hurting himself further?
Was he worrying too much?
“You’re sure you can handle her? I can talk to her if you want.” Knowing how the siblings didn’t always get on well, he knew Melody at least liked him, he didn’t want to pressure Aloysius to talk to her if he didn’t want to. This had to be stressing enough for him.
“I was polite about it, I just asked that she let us know…so she doesn’t walk in on anything. I assume she took it to mean she might find us in the living room or who knows what, so warning might be nice, but I left things a little vague on purpose to be honest. Maybe I shouldn’t have but I did want her to understand and I saw that as something she would certainly understand.” And he felt bad lying, or at least making things seem like what they weren’t, but if it helped everyone involved it was ok, right?
Listening as Aloysius took the lead he gave over what information he needed, including his ID, he gave his date of birth as well which he actually wasn’t sure Aloysius knew. Odd really but he’d never thought of it…it just wasn’t an important thing to him, since it wasn’t the actual day he’d been born. As he let a nurse take his temperature, and his blood pressure he let Aloysius tell them what had happened.
He would, according to the nurse, need to wait a while, they were packed. That was…well fine. At least he figured he might be able to ask for something to settle his stomach and maybe a pain killer…but apparently that was a no go as well. Not while out in the waiting area…no drugs of any kind. They couldn’t monitor him out here.

“I can handle her with this, it is separate from the things she would normally fight me on.” Feeling his phone buzz as texts came in back to back, he ignored it for now as they walked back into the waiting room. Eyeing a few people he recognized from the business side of things, he knew that at least one of the nurses behind the desk had recognized him as well and would move things along. Even if he hadn’t been around much Melody had made sure that people were aware of the family name and his place at the head of it.
Leaning in close he laughed a bit at the thought that the other had just been blunt with his sister about things. “Thank you either way, it makes things easier without having to worry about her interrupting.” It had been nice being able to have that privacy and peace again in his home as well as the other things that had been able to happen due to it.
After just a few more minutes the nurse he had recognized called out Liam’s name. “See, not too long of a wait. Come on, time to get you fixed up so we can go home.”

“I think your sister prefers blunt, straightforwardness, at least when it comes from me.” Shrugging his one good arm he was surprised when the nurse came out to call for him, the other had said it’d be a wait for him. “Is this…” Shaking his head he followed Aloysius. He supposed this was from the others family name.
“When we get to the room, read me what your sister says.” He spoke softly, not wanting others to really hear them as they headed back into the back where people were seen and cases arrived by ambulance. Soon he’d be feeling better, though not perfect, and he’d let Aloysius fuss over him for once.
