“I wouldn’t mind that,” Outside of Beira and Athene, there weren’t many other people she knew outside the uniform. A few years ago she had come to the knowledge that her ex, the person she had been trying to protect from all of this, had awakened as a Senshi as well. Unfortunately, they have not reconnected since then mostly because she felt unworthy of his time and unequipped to help him navigate his way through the war.

“Just, fair warning to you. The place I work is cold as well.” Again she grimaced. “We have a rink here in Destiny City, it’s a place people go to rent shoes with metal blades on them so they can dance or play on ice. It’s a nice place to go as the weather heats up but figure skating competitions can be fun to watch as well.”

Perhaps in time, Kemi could learn to find some semblance of joy in the beauty of her world by finding ways to have fun here first.

Alcor chose that opportunity to power down first. The long white coat and skater's leotard were replaced by a beige coat lined with wool, a snug knitted sweater, and a sleek pair of skinny jeans.

“I’d like that,” Alcor admitted.

Outside of being powered, there were very few she considered friends. Co-workers aside, it only took one hand to count the number of people she could trust talking to freely; Adrian and Liryn being two of them with Ilya and Erica being another pair she was still warming up to slowly. If only she trusted Fionan, then perhaps things wouldn’t have ended the way it did between them.

“We can discover new places together.” Do activities that she’d never considered doing, like going to a concert, which Breana would love, or the performing arts theater to watch a play.

Alcor summoned her senshi phone to exchange contact information with Kemi before powering down and pulling her other phone, an older Samsung Galaxy that should probably be upgraded sometime soon.
