“I know, and I don’t expect you to jump into things Lorcan. I would, until you are stronger, rather you keep to the back in any big fights. Let you go in and grab people if need be and play combat medic.” Since Arseno may or may not take up that role since the other was a General himself and was useful on the front lines as well. Not to mention Alexandre trusted Tom at his side in a fight.

“Yes Aoede, both are doctors and both on my team. Though if Arseno wished to make his own team I wouldn’t stop him. I do trust him to still have my back if need be.” As well as his teams back if anyone were to need the others help. Tom was just often busy, with work, because he was a doctor and still took classes and other things so he stayed sharp….like another doctor he knew.

“Your magic is why I need this.” Standing up as he went to get the bottle of excedrin he had tossed earlier. A bottle of water came out of subspace and without much thought he took three pills into his hands and swallowed them each with a mouthful of water. He knew three was more than the bottle said, it said two at a time, and he knew he should take it with food but who got into a fight with a full stomach? “If you don’t make people's ears bleed when you hit eternal I’ll be surprised. Either way it will make anyone against you vulnerable for others to move in and kill with ease.” This was why he liked working with corrupt senshi. Magic to disable people helped so he, and others with weapons, could move in and deal with order.

Walking back over to his chair he sat himself down, taking another drink of water, as he leaned back. “At some point I need to drag your brother into some training. It’s been awhile…and he bested me - I need to change that.” Just like he’d needed to beat Wolframite in drinking that one night, to settle that old score, it was just not the best thing that Aoede had been there to see that. He didn’t drink typically, ever, and yet that night he had been so drunk.

Smiling a bit at the compliment she nodded. “I think that would be good, keep them from getting close enough to me to burn me again…” She really needed to make more allies to stick between her and the enemies. Sure fighting skills were needed but if things worked out, there would be enough warm bodies in the way to prevent that from happening again. “At least the muffs worked, though I figure if I can get a bit more training in on my magic specifically maybe I can make sure it only affects the enemies.” Looking over at Stichtite for a moment more, he seemed to be hearing and responding just fine.

But that comment about her brother actually beating Beni had her jaw drop a bit. “Are you sure we are talking about the same person? There’s no way.” Beni would turn her brother into a paste on the ground, there was no way he could have bested them. Then again she really didn’t even know what kind of weapon he had but he didn’t seem like the type to fight. There had been that moment though, when she had grabbed his starseed, that he had changed. Not the same broken pushover of a man, there was something dangerous in his eyes for a split second then and she hadn’t liked it one bit. There was that comfort that she was better than him at not falling apart but she’d done just the same after getting burned and she’d hated herself for it. But if they had beaten her General… she didn’t quite like the implication that if she kept poking and prodding her brother that she might be biting off more than she could chew.

“I can manage that and I prefer that as well, I know where my skills lay.” Stretching his leg a bit, he could already tell it would be sore for a few days. Nothing too bad but he’d have to watch it.

“I agree, it would be a good way to disable or disorient enemies and allow allies to move in with an advantage.” It would also help speed things up and reduce risks which was something he needed to make sure his cousin tried to do more often.

But hearing his cousin and then Aoede, he couldn’t help but agree with her sentiment. “You’ve got to be joking, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again but he barely seems alright enough to fight let alone beat you. Even if you say it’s all a recent occurrence. Unless…” Trailing off as he remembered what they had said about the eldest Sharp sibling using long-range and rarely missing. He’d seen his cousin's weapon so it had to be a bow or something along those lines in order to get an advantage on someone who threw themselves into things.

“I see… maybe you can convince him to show us some moves? If he stays back from the front lines it may make sense for us to learn a bit from them.” It would also give him an excuse to try and figure out what exactly they were like outside of the tutoring sessions he’d witnessed.

“Yeah, he did beat me. He lost to a corrupt right afterwards but that was years ago. People change and he sunk into himself, slowly, he wasn’t the person you know back then. I can assure you that he can beat me in a fight should he try.” He was even more tempted to seek out Aloysius so they could hold a match and let Aoede see. Perhaps she would gain a bit more insight into her brother, by seeing him as capable of holding his own in a fight.

“Your brother makes it hard because I have a ranged weapon…I can’t get in close with it. So it leaves me needing to move in for hand to hand so he can’t use his weapon. Or I wind up so far back my weapon is useless - due to his weapon.” Yup, he was already pulling out his communications device and sending a message to his fellow general. He was not going to seek out training tonight but soon and he’d let the long haired man know that.

Laughing he nodded his head. “I think I can arrange that. I doubt he’d say no to me and if he did…well..I know where he lives. I’ll just drag him out for some training.” He really did doubt Aloysius would deny him, and if he did Alexandre had no issue in pushing matters a bit. “He does stand back from things a good ays. It also gives him a good view of a battle from where he tends to be. He’d be good with tactics and such…though I’m unsure how skilled in such he honestly is. It’s not my strong point though either.”
