Atticus giggled with each teasing kiss, but held tightly to his boyfriend once he pulled back. This was just… so nice. And he had no idea that he’d go from wondering if he would have enough to eat or be in the hospital instead of school, to thinking about his and Elliot’s anniversaries and wedding.
He knew Elliot knew what he’d gone through. At least what he’d felt comfortable talking to him about. But every day with Elliot was so wonderful that it was easy to forget that he’d ever had hardship.
“I like that. I think it would be really nice to see how far we’ve come.” They might be young, but that just meant they had a long time to really learn how to appreciate each other more than they already did.
