"Mm." The sound was low, a short use of breath that could easily go unheard. It wasn't the first time she'd spoken to someone at length before. Nor the first she'd been left thinking strongly on the words and their meaning. Whether she took more from it than was intended didn't really matter to her. It wasn't as if she was about to have a deep conversation with Vetra. That really wasn't in Heike's nature to open so much to someone.
"Neither am I," she admitted, rubbing absently at a spot on her neck. What she'd just said about her grandmother was the most she could ever recall saying to a single person before. Except maybe Doesina, but she hardly listened when her cousin spoke. Which she did a lot. Why couldn't she understand too much talking about nothing was a headache?
The Elidae looked around her for a moment, her head only turning slightly, before settling back on the other Aishan. Did she feel a little bit curious? She wasn't sure. "Like what?"
