"Ha - HA!" He proudly proclaimed while flourishing his best paint brush - sword stance. There were enough core memories from his Papa to know the basic maneuvers, but since most of Callum's techniques had been developed by the man himself there really wasn't much technique to begin with. It was as unpredictable as a bird in flight, but where as his Papa made it look smooth Siel just made it goofy. Which, honestly, wasn't far off from what he was going for anyway.
His boisterous posturing took a hit - literally - when the paint splattered on him, but that didn't stop him from flicking some back at her. "I thought you liked green; it matches your eyes!" He didn't press it any further than that, but he did grin like a mad man. There was just something so...surreal, about the situation? They had two little ones on the way, two currently in their home, but he didn't feel a day older than when it had all started. Tired, sure, but somehow more fulfilled.
"Okay, so, I have an idea. How about when the little ones bloom we dip all of our hands in a different color paint and put it on the wall? That way even when we travel there will be a piece of us left behind."

"Hmm, I think I much prefer blue. It matches you too well." Teased Quiana back her voice full of amusement, especially after watching Siel's performance. What a paint fighter! Nothing would be able to withstand those attacks! She couldn't help laughing, the posturing and their conversation just filling her with delight. That was something she loved about their relationship, no matter how serious things got they could always find a way to play around like this. Expecting another assault the Elidae braced herself and took a defensive stance, her guard only dropping when Siel offered the new idea and she nodded.
"Oh, yes! That's a lovely idea." Quiana moved towards Siel, holding her hands up in truce so that she could point out an empty space along the back wall. "Let's do it. And if we visit then we can always compare the prints, to see how much we've all grown while traveling." Make new prints for every visit, almost like marking their growth while also leaving behind that piece. "I claim blue though." She teased lightly, a smirk crossing her lips as she looked away from the wall and back over towards Siel.

Of course he had to take advantage of her lowered guard. Siel moved in quick, but this time instead of a swipe to the arm he leaned up onto his tip toes and kissed her cheek. "I thought so too. " He knew some families carved notches into their doorframes or measured their children's height by barley. His own had never really done that growing up, but now that they had the hut they may as well.
"Mmm, in that case I'll take green, but a lighter, blue green sort of color." He reached up to wrap his finger around one of Quiana's seafoam green dreads. "Think we can mix that up?"

Quiana's cheeks warmed, the Elidae flushing happily at the sign of affection. She leaned instinctively towards Siel as she enjoyed the attention and listened to him with interest. "Is that so?" Her lips curved upwards mischievously. "I wonder what would inspire your color choice." She teased lightly as an arm reached around him, Quiana holding onto her partner with a loose hug. "Hmm, I think so. It wouldn't be the first time I've mixed up paints or something else for that matter." She kept still as he held onto her hair, the Elidae feeling a burst of happiness.
"I'm really looking forward to the next chapter, Siel." She murmured quietly, her voice full of appreciation once more for the changes the bard brought into her life. A family and experiencing the world? Truly some days it still felt like she was dreaming, that's how wonderful it all was.

"Me too," He leaned against her and looked over their work. Just like the ocean meeting the land their worlds had crossed and created something wonderful. At one point in his life Siel wondered what fatherhood would take away from him, but he never could have imagined what he would gain. A partner who completed him, children that continuously surprised him and a thousand possibilities for new adventures.
He loved his family so much already that it was hard to imagine how he would feel once their blooms were ready. It didn't stop him from trying, though, and wishing he could hold them already.
