Personality: Zakorai is the protective sort, very stern at times. Not to say he can't be light-hearted, but that's only if you earn his trust. He's fairly even-tempered, but when he gets set off, he's dangerous. Zako is very intimidating, and he doesn't take a lot of crap from anyone. He doesn't like to deal with foolish people who get themselves into trouble. He's got a soft spot for his younger siblings, and he likes kids, as he feels a brotherly bond with children.

It is somewhat difficult to earn the trust of a raptor once they have found their True Master, but it's quite a feat if you manage. If one were to earn Zako's trust, he would apply his protective nature to them and will not let anything happen to them.

A little about me: Zakorai comes from a rather large family, and he's the third oldest. When he came of age, he left his family to seek out someone he could protect. He met his master, Spike, shortly after. Zako, however, took more to Spike's sister Tsunami. He is aware Tsunami has her own guardians, seven Elemental dragons and three Shadows, much to his disdain. Zako and his siblings all serve and protect Spike.

Zako has never been in love, and he highly doubts he ever will. Romance was something he was personally never interested in, but if it happens, he wouldn't resist. Given his gruff nature and how intimidating he is, he doubts anyone would try to get close to him. Which is all well and good in his book; it's less troublesome.

As the third oldest sibling in his family, and the oldest male, a lot was expected of Zako in his youth. He, alongside Shiva, would go out and hunt for their younger siblings (Soul Keeper was never allowed to leave their home without an escort). While Shiva acted as Soul Keeper's guardian, Zako was left to tend to the younger lot once they were born.

When his family is born, they are born with special stones. They are not given them after they are born, they are literally born with them. Each stone represents the element that they control. Zako has a golden stone that represents lightening; his element. These stones are important and if they are stolen, the lifespan of their raptor is greatly decreased and they become deathly ill until the stone is returned.

The stones are often worn in the form of jewelry, usually a collar of some kind in their raptor form. Zako seldom takes a human form without reason, but his family favors human forms to their natural state. It is easy to identify which raptor is which in their human forms as they still wear their stone where it can be seen. Usually, they will wear them as necklaces, earrings or rings. Some of them, like Zako and his brother Rizer, still wear them on their collars.

Personality: Julian is a charmer, but unintentionally so, and he's been that way since he was a kid. He took to murder, like most of his family, and he grew up vicious and bloodthirsty. As he grew older, he continued to kill, feeding his victims to his now gone spouse and his daughter.

Now, he simply kills to fill a void. He’s gotten colder and more reserved as more time passes.

A little about me: He met his beloved when they were kids and he had called her his 'special lady' ever since. They grew up together and Julian came to fall head over heels for his childhood sweetheart. Despite her not being able to express much emotion, he still knew she cared for him.

When the pair were expecting little ones, Julian was terrified. His mother, Jinx, did not approve of her son's mate, even though she was fond of her. By choosing her as his mate, Julian's children would break away from the Jackripper naming tradition, which didn’t sit well with Jinx. He found it incredibly petty, but didn’t argue and instead sought a solution.

In an attempt to keep the peace with his family, Julian discovered one name that would stay true to both his beloved’s naming tradition, and his own. He told his mother about this, saying he would use this name for one of his children, hoping to appease her and that she will accept his kids as full Jackrippers. Jinx turned her nose up at the offer, saying she would accept the offer, but she may not pay any mind to the children, even considering the option of disowning Julian himself, much to his dismay. That particular fear, however, was laid to rest when Jinx immediately took it back, saying that since he was her firstborn, she would not disown him.

However, as his daughter got older, Julian chose to disown himself after an incident with his mother. She had lost control of her shadow and had attacked the still very small Joplin and the wounds never healed. Julian snapped at his mother, scooped up his daughter and never looked back. He didn’t even reach out when he heard his mother remarried.

His own heart was damaged further not long after this incident and he lost his childhood sweetheart, the love of his life. He has struggled to move on, losing himself in his shadow and killing to ease his own pain. All the while humming a song that reminds him of his lost ‘Tomorrow’.

Family Trait: Everyone in his family has the initials 'J.J.' Julian will not enforce this with his children.
