"Got it." Now that he had gotten the hang of things, thanks to Tsisia's help Quetzal was fully invested in crafting, but he also wasn't oblivious to the hints that his parents were starting to really drop as they prepared everything. It was a little much, but honestly he was fine letting them go out it since it allowed him a moment to think. Did he want siblings? His golden gaze slowly moved about the room in between dipping candles, hesitation written across his features as he looked back to Tsisia. It was a gamble, but if it made his parents happy...maybe it wouldn't be a horrible thing? Plus, it would be nice to have more numbers to fight back against any potential bullying. It was hard when you weren't really included with the majority of the pure Aishan population nearby, after all.

"If it made everyone happy then I guess." Quetzal finally acknowledged as he placed a drying candle to the side. "Is it just Sasasoo having children?" And he put it out there, hoping to see how his parents would take to the very suggestion.

Siel 5

Eventually one of them was bound to get it and Siel wasn't surprised it was Quetzal. While neither of them were dense his son had a habit of picking up on the subtleties to a conversation faster than Siel was even aware he'd dropped them. In this case it was both a blessing and a curse because now they needed to full address it.

"Your mother and I were thinking we might like to give you a little brother or sister. If we got Esena's blessing," He added the last bit hurriedly, "We haven't asked yet because we wanted to talk to you first." Not that an outright 'no' would stop them, but this wasn't like an earthling pregnancy. There were no 'surprises' or random children dropping in. If they were going to plan this out it would be as a family.

"Watch your wax, Tsisia; it's getting on the table."

Tsisia 5

This wasn't about Sasasoo at all! The moment Quetzal blurted out the words she looked up, first at her brother then to her mother and father. Siblings?! They weren't just talking? With a squeak she moved her candle hurriedly over to the rack and tried to dab at the spilled wax with a cloth. Her efforts were in vain, however; the wax had already started to harden and was stuck to the wood.

"...But I have already have Quetzal. You have us; one of each. Aren't we good enough?"

And there it is. Quiana looked between her children, the Elidae feeling both appreciative and worried about Quetzal's response. Well, it was out in the open now and there was no going back. She moved over to help flick off the wax, Quiana taking a dull knife to it so that she could chip the wax from the wood the best that she could. "Let me help, little bloom." She reassured Tsisia before frowning at the question. "It's not about being good enough. It's just about expanding our family, not because we want to replace anyone but rather because we're such a lively bunch that more numbers mean the merrier." Quiana set the knife down and reached over so that she could pet Tsisia's head lightly, reassuring her daughter that she was more than enough.

"If you truly don't like the idea then we don't have to ask for more blooms. We just thought it would be nice if you both had more support, younger siblings closer in age to grow up with." Quiana nodded before leaning close to whisper. "If you have an extra pair of hands then it's easier to pull one over on your brother, I'm sure." And just as innocently the mischievous Elidae started to work at the wood again before giving a firm nod. "That takes care of the wax and maybe just think about the idea? We brought it up to you both because we do want your input, we wouldn't want to surprise you with a sibling or two if you didn't like the idea."

Quetzal frowned, already expecting the reveal but still not certain how he felt about it. Did he want more siblings? Even one could be a handful if they were as mischievous as his sister. His stomach did twist at Tsisia's question, the boy looking between his parents before letting out a soft sigh at his mother's reassurances. Though there was a moment he glanced at Siel pleadingly when he saw his mother whisper something to Tsisia. That was never a good sign since his mother could be just as bad as his sister sometimes!

Still...his parents seemed to really care about this topic and even asked them for approval. That was a plus, right? He didn't even know if Sasasoo would have asked his children about such a thing! "Do we get to help pick a name?" He finally asked, looking at his father as if a name could affect the whole child's personality. In stories the characters normally went along with their name meaning, so it made sense to the innocent youngling that perhaps a calmer name for a younger sibling would give them a more peaceful personality.

Siel 6

Instead of standing over them Siel came to sit down beside his son to be more on their level. While there wasn't outright hatred of the idea their unease left him at a weird spot. The two were young enough that their proposed sibling, or siblings, would be close in age but old enough to worry. When he caught Quetzal's gaze he leaned over toward the boy and bumped up against him, "Having a few more sentries wouldn't hurt, would it? You could teach them all the best ways to get under her skin." Even if the words were murmured Siel's smile was absolutely devilish. "It's always been us against them, but what if we had an edge? Or someone to close the gap?" He reached over to kiss the top of Quetzal's head before leaning back in his seat and reaching for his drink.

"Sure, why not? I think it'd be nice. We chose yours and you can choose theirs." If there were two again then it would be an even split, but spirits help them if it was just one bloom. The poor thing would be caught in a sibling war. "But seriously - this is something we're really thinking about and if you're not comfortable with it then we won't."

Tsisia 6

In an instant she'd gone from excited over candles to stubbed up and near tears. It was just so frustrating to hear her parents talk about replacing them when they were just fine already! She didn't need siblings and she already had one anyway! Quetzal was stupid, but he was her stupid brother! "I don't feel very merry," she grumbled.

It was just...a lot to take in all at once. The louder part of Tsisia's mind was screaming that NO she did NOT want anyone else in their family, but a smaller part was asking why not? She loved her brother, but there were times when he wanted to be away from her and she wanted space from him. A younger sibling might be closer to her in ways that he couldn't be and....well, that didn't sound awful.

"...I guess it wouldn't be so bad." She didn't want to be the only one throwing a fit, especially since Quetzal seemed to be bending to the idea. "So long as you don't bring home an ugly baby."

"We'll make sure it's not an ugly baby." Replied Quiana, watching her daughter with a gentle expression despite her amusement at the request. Quetzal was calmer, better and hiding his emotions and more prone to taking his time to ponder over things, but Tsisia was far quicker to react with her emotions completely open to everyone else. She did frown at the idea of names before slowly nodding. Surely that was only fair. They were changing their lives with potential siblings "We get to help look at the names though, right? I can teach you some more traditional Aishan ones while your father proposes some earthling ones, if you'd like."

She brought over some rolled candies to offer to Tsisia, an offering for her daughter's forgiveness. "Truly, if you both are alright with it then we'll see if Esena blesses us...but only if you approve. We can give you both more time to think on it, a decision doesn't have to be made tonight." Quiana reassured, looking between both of their children and then towards Siel, hoping they made the right decision. "I've honestly always been jealous of large families and think it could be fun." And they had always taught their children to never be afraid of asking questions, so why should they be afraid to ask for their opinions? At least the idea was out in the open now and Quiana truly hoped Quetzal and Tsisia would warm up to it eventually.

Quetzal pursed his lips, his mouth twisting back and forth as he listened to his father's words. If their younger sibling was on his side then that would be nice, but at the same time he worried about Tsisia. Would she really be okay with this? His golden gaze swept towards his sister, concern obviously written on his expression as he studied her. Maybe two blooms then, if they were lucky? One sibling to be on his side and...one to be on her side. Even if she drove him crazy, Quetzal still cared about his sister and even tonight they had proven to get along together. It would only be fair if someone else enjoyed her love of pranks, as much as he regretted that thought.

"We could look at names together. Okay, Tsisia?" Quetzal smiled in appreciation at his father before glancing back to his sister and mother with a nod. "But maybe snacks first?" Everything did smell good and his father had just poured some cups so it would be a waste to ignore that just because their family could be potentially growing. He wouldn't protest if his parents wanted more children, he just hoped that it wouldn't be too many.

Siel 7

"We'll make sure to try." Siel responded nearly in tune with Quiana's much nicer version. For a moment he was quiet, content to let mother and daughter talk things through, before adding, "Sometimes babies are just ugly, but that doesn't mean they'll stay that way." The immediate thought that came to mind were Ygraine's twins. The spirits had been kind to them at least by letting them grow out of it even if they were still frail.

"It might not even happen soon. Even if we went to see Esena tomorrow she might not bless us for weeks, or even years." Or at all, though Siel preferred not to think on that.

Tsisia 7

She'd honestly never thought about what it would be like having a large family because it had only ever been them. They had extended family who lived in far off lands, but here it was just the four. The more she thought about it the more she started to lean, and yet it was clear she would need the time to adjust.

"Okay...but later." Definitely later. Maybe tomorrow later or the next day. For now she reached toward some of the snacks and stuffed them into her face so she wouldn't have to talk anymore.

"Mmmhmm. We have plenty of time. Your father is right...no one ever knows when Esena will decide to bloom." Agreed Quiana, nodding as she watched their children process everything. As much as she wanted to ask for more blooms she would practice patience and give their little ones time to adjust to the idea of siblings. From never expecting to have a family to this...what a miracle. She truly hoped that she wasn't being too greedy asking for more. Quiana let out a soft sigh as she watched Tsisia go for the snacks, the Elidae retreating to Siel's side to wrap an arm around him. She had been so caught up in their children's reactions that she hadn't even pondered how her mother tree would react. Was it possible that they could be denied next time? Would she be raising their family's hopes for nothing? What if the children finally got excited about this and then....well she didn't want to linger on such thoughts, that was for certain.

"For now let's just focus on snacks then and presents." She offered, hoping the excitement of the presents would ease their worries for the moment. Tonight was about celebrating and then tomorrow would be a new day and they would see whatever the future held then. Quiana was just content to spend time with her family, feeling blessed for what Esena had already granted them.

"We worked out, after all." Mused Quetzal at the prospect of ugly babies, the youngling already wandering over towards Tsisia so that he could pick up a piece of bread. The flat pieces tore evenly in his hands as he covered them in cheese and meat to eat at the same time. It was better to just enjoy the food and the moment than worry about a decision, especially if his parents were willing to give them time to think on it.

"Presents? Sounds good to me." Okay, so maybe he could forgive them for bringing up such a topic if they could recover with something like that. The snacks were also good and so was the drinks that his father had served them. Quetzal enjoyed another sip before slowly nodding. Siblings were definitely something he would have to adjust to, but he was optimistic that it wouldn't be quite so bad to have others running about their home. And it would be a lot better to have someone closer to his age than feeling like an aunt or uncle, he already had plenty of extended family so closer siblings were the better option in his opinion. Quetzal just had to hope any sibling would have a little bit of mercy on him at least though else he would be in so much trouble if they decided to gang up with Tsisia against him. Please Esena be merciful. He'd heard that prayer before from other Elidae and rarely used it, but for tonight...well he definitely hoped for mercy with whatever happened next.
